QUOTE(bootmod3 @ Feb 15 2022, 10:05 AM) Actually, what's the benefit in getting the phone from Maxis? Will it be any cheaper than buying from Apple outright? If you're an existing subscriber with a 128 plan or higher and you're willing to tie up for 24 months, then it makes sense getting it from maxis on a normal contract as you'd be saving RM1k or more compared to buying from Apple outright. On the other hand, if your monthly usage is far less than 128 or don't intend to tie yourself up in a contract as you might want to switch telcos later, then yeah, you can get the phone outright from Apple. Wow, interesting… been reading the last couple of pages and didn’t think maxis could sink any lower but apparently they have, hahaha…
I’m still patiently waiting for my wife’s contract to run out next month before we sign a contract for a new iPhone, but looking at all these comments here I think I better just try to order online as and when the stock becomes available than try my luck at maxis centres I wish I could threaten to port out but I can’t.. I’m using their broadband services and have unlimited data but more importantly, they are the only one with decent coverage in my housing area, hahaha… Anyways.. it’s strange that every iPhone launch this kinda thing comes up… You never see them adding any such BS T&Cs for their Galaxy Notes and S-whatever Ultra and what not… This post has been edited by attw: Oct 18 2022, 02:04 PM |

So I was in 1 Utama last weekend and saw the maxis dealer there, Speed Dial Sdn Bhd put up a sign on what stocks were available. I saw they listed a 14 Pro Max 256GB available and in Deep Purple too, which was the color I was eyeing. However, I was kinda wary about the terms and conditions imposed by these dealers, so I wasn’t too optimistic but asked anyway.
So the dealer says the T&C is I had to buy two accessories from them - and have to choose between a case, screen protector and/or cable. So the screen protector is the Amazingthing Supreme glass one - which you can get online at about RM70 or maybe just under, but they listed it at RRP RM89. The cable was a C to lightning, MFI certified one, list price RM70 but they said they were having a promotion at RM39 and last but not least they had an assortment of cases, all branded and all about RM99 and above. So I decided I wasn’t gonna buy their accessories and was about to walk away when the guy says, “Wait sir, maxis got promo - RM120 off the phone price so you can use that for your accessories.” So on contract (maxis MOP 128), the 256GB Pro Max was suppose to be RM4,804 but he said he would charge me RM4,684, and I could buy the tempered glass and cable for RM128, so that works out to RM4,812. Oh, and if anyone wants to know, no Onecard points for the phone, just the accessories |

QUOTE(yarusaru @ Sep 14 2023, 09:46 AM) now the plan are different right? Decided to take your question here so we don’t bother the non-maxis folks from that thread, hahaha…minimum under normal contract 24 is plan 109 while minimum under zerolution is plan79 which one offer best device price versus plan fees ya? Yes, the plans are now different with 5G. MOP98 is now 109 (additional RM11) and MOP128 is now 139… I was on the 128 and if I remember correctly, in the past, normal contract 24 months for iPhone will start at 128 plan at launch, then few months later only they allow those on 98 to buy on normal contract. I suspect this year may be the same, which means the minimum plan might be 139 - I hope I’m wrong and you’re right, but I doubt so… yarusaru liked this post

QUOTE(XeactorZ @ Sep 14 2023, 10:31 AM) QUOTE(vez @ Sep 14 2023, 10:38 AM) i bet starting on 139, which later on will be open for 109 Ya, I also think it’ll start at 139, since this is the new 128 plan. I’m guessing you can only get Zerolution for 79 and 109 at the launch which is pointless… 79 will be not entitle at all or only for non pro later just dont "terkejut" when queue up in maxis system and only available for plan starting 139 furthermore now the new plan comes with a lot more data, unless the maxis principal line need accommodate 2 or above sub lines, no valid reason to go 139 or above I use maxis home fibre so my data quota is unlimited, but I may be moving in a month or two so I’ll likely not continue with maxis since the place I’m moving to has Time, but even so I do think the current quota is more than sufficient for mobile usage… We came from an era when the maxis one plan 128 had like a 3GB quota, hahaha…. |

QUOTE(gooroojee @ Sep 14 2023, 07:55 PM) Hi all, not sure if this is the right forum to ask but I picked up a second hand iP14 phone and was given this receipt from Switch that said the device is bound to a Maxis telco plan. When I asked why it's stated as such the seller said it's fine, the full phone amount is already paid upfront and in full so there is no need to worry. In my opinion, the seller has been dishonest - that is definitely a Zerolution receipt - otherwise the value reflected on the receipt will be the subsidized price - and also the receipt clearly says Zerolution. So yes, you should be a little worried in case the seller defaults on his bills and Maxis blocks the IMEI.For those of you who purchased the iPhones under the same Maxis plan, does your Switch receipt look the same? Should I be worried? Seller report lost or run away, then Maxis will get MCMC to block the IMEI right? ![]() |

QUOTE(Lego Warfare @ Sep 15 2023, 12:49 PM) As my 2 year contract ends in November, I would have to pay the penalty fee/cancel the current contract in order to sign a new plan for the iPhone 15 pre-order. Yes bro, go to their outlet and cancel first before the pre-order. If you can wait till next month, just walk in to their centre and if they have the stocks you want, just ask them to renew your contract and they'll waive the penalty.Does anyone knows if I have to cancel/pay the penalty fee in the Maxis shop first so I can be ready for the pre-order or can it be done and calculated automatically during the iPhone pre-order checkout? |

QUOTE(IAmLejen @ Sep 21 2023, 12:18 AM) Those who bought the 13pro 2 years ago under maxis, are you guys buying the 15pro this round? And normally what time does maxis bill show in the app? My bill cycle is 21st every month Yup, I checked with them - they told me I contracted with them on October 7, 2021 so I can pre-order without needing to terminate my contract first. Let’s just hope the pre-order goes smoothly (but I doubt it will). My billing cycle is every 10th of the month, you’ll get a notification on the billing day itself but the bill is usually only available on the next day or a couple of days after that. |

QUOTE(IAmLejen @ Sep 21 2023, 09:50 AM) that's the thing, I asked different people from maxis, 123 and maxis centre, got mix information - some say need to clear my last payment on 21st, some say dont need, very confusing now lol, so you havent clear your last payment since your cycle is on the 10th? I believe your current due is not an issue, just make sure you have no overdue, i.e. last month’s bill still not paid this month. My bill is on auto debit so it gets paid monthly every month around 14th or 15th each month. I think yours should be OK if it’s not an overdue. |

QUOTE(meltan @ Sep 22 2023, 12:10 AM) Looks like Maxis pulled a fast one again. Same like last year, opened up the PO few minutes earlier. Yeah, I got in the queue at 11.53pm - I was 1003 (and they were serving 1000, hahaha). All done and dusted by 12.07amQUOTE(Lego Warfare @ Sep 22 2023, 12:29 AM) Managed to place order for iPhone 15 Pro - 512gb natural titanium but... What plan are you on? The highest? If not mistaken you’ve been a customer with them for quite some time right? It’s strange that they require you to pay upfrontAm I the only one pissed with Maxis forcing the upfront advance device payment which will be refunded over 24 months in your bill? meltan liked this post

QUOTE(Lego Warfare @ Sep 22 2023, 09:43 AM) Yes existing customer. I didn't/wouldn't do that on a pre-order page, i might lose my queue! I was already at 300+ in line. If i do that i would probably drop back to 1000-2000! Yeah, it’s funny. Anyways do update us if you went to request for a refundNope, 139 plan. I've been their customer for 10+ years with this number. Not including my earlier years with other numbers. And all my payment is done auto billing as well, so no late payment... QUOTE(PeeEl @ Sep 22 2023, 11:44 AM) Maxis has this privy only to them method of deciding which customers pay upfront for devices. The criteria for waiver is not tenure of your business with them. Strange indeed. I thought they would have a more scientific selection process, like base on your tenure or payment history, hahaha… |

Oh and I also want to add that since I switch to this 5G plan, 5G sucks the battery juice of an iPhone 12 Mini like no tomorrow!

And blue would have been my second choice so it’s not that bad!QUOTE(skitZo` @ Sep 25 2023, 11:55 AM) Hopefully they really got excess stock for the blue titanium or not some pre-order stock fluke by them. Because I PO the blue titanium on Friday morning. Hopefully can get it on 29/9. I think you should be able to get it without a problem |

QUOTE(GamersFamilia @ Sep 25 2023, 03:06 PM) CelcomDigi offering this goodies for those who pre order iphone 15 series from them , how bout maxis ? Maxis gives nothing free, bro - it's been that way for years, hahaha. No freebies, slowest to the 5G party and most expensive plans. And yet we all stick with them...[attachmentid=11480035] QUOTE(Oltromen Ripot @ Sep 25 2023, 05:54 PM) i'm trying to understand the reasoning behind "die die must pre-order iPhone, cannot wait off-season later" rush. iPhone buyers/users are never rational. Don't waste your time trying to understand them |
