  • Infinite 150 comes with 1TB FUP, speed capped to 10Mbps after that.
  • Torrent connections will be limited to 64Kbps.
  • Private IP will be provided, services and games that require public IP will not work.
  • Only Digi DNS, Google DNS will work properly
  • Download the MyDigi app. You can do a lot on the app which include lodging a complain.
  • Please put your modem near a window for the best performance.
Modem and Routers buying guide:
  • Getting an LTE+ which means routers that are CAT 6 and above are able to take advantage of Digi LTE+ network.
  • It is able achieve this by combining 2 bands (currently 2600Mhz and 1800Mhz) in order to have a better performance.
  • Most LTE modems will come with antennas. You can always purchase an external antenna to boost the signal.
Huawei E5186 Cat6 modem router ~RM600
• Get the s22a variant for LTE+ support. The s61a variant is not compatible with our Malaysia LTE+ frequency.
• Tools for Huawei E5186
• Firmware flashing guide for Huawei E5186
Huawei B618 Cat11 modem router ~ RM1000
• B618 discussion thread here
• Best modem to get currently at a higher price.
• Firmware update link. Thanks to fruitie. Only tested on 22d variant
• Please be aware that some models may be carrier locked, do verify this before purchase.
Netgear AC790S Cat6 LTE MiFi ~ RM450
• A value option for a cheap modem with great performance.

Factors that affect network performance:

1) Your device:
• Getting a new LTE modem especially a LTE CA capable one will have better performance.
• You might be having a faulty modem, try switching your SIM card with other modems.

2) Your signal coverage:
• If you are not within LTE-A coverage area or getting awful 1 bar signal, don't expect to have 20Mbps of speed.
• Consider placing your modem at a better spot.

3) Congested with other users:
• If you live in an area where there are a lot of Digi users, be prepared with network congestion.
• Even you have a 100Mbps modem, under serious congestion, you may not even get 5Mbps.

4) Timing:
• The network will be more congested at a certain time when there's a lot of users on the network. Bear with it, it is normally the fastest during midnight.

Recently speed only so-so - before this 4K streaming with no sweats. B3 busy, then jump to B7. and keep doing this all over again.

No, you cannot suspend the line yourself even if you drag the button, it's like "grey out" and won't respond.

For me, the strongest reason don't have to depend on CS so that I can suspend the line.

Hi, new user here. Already used this plan around a month. Need ur guys opinion on this. I having an issues regarding my speed. On peak hour (6pm-12am), my speed will drop to around 1-2.5mbps. Other than peak hour, speed is around 20-30mbps. Tested indoor and outdoor and speed not much different.

- is this due to congested area? (I live in villages area, tanjong piandang, perak to be exact)
- been using this sim on huawei e5573. If i change others modem like b618, will i get better speed on peak hour?

I'm currently using Netgear M1, is B618 perform better in terms of connection stability? I notice the M1, seems like not that stable, especially on the Wi-Fi, sometimes I can't even connect to the 5G SSID.

Emm i used b618 , sometimes couldn't connect to the 5g ssid too
From what i read,5ghz range was close compare for 2.4ghz
2.4ghz small package data but have wide range

What i found b7 not stable, now using b3 more stable for live streaming n gaming
Dont care about 4g+ right now high speed but poor connection/not stable

U know what ,i rather using my old mifi only support b3 then "bangsawan b618" for stable network
Im not sure why cant stream 4k if using 4g+ line not stable
Using b3 really good for consistent line and can stream 4k with minimum buffering
I think b7 not stable yet
But b618 really good if u can lock band

I guess location wise. My area used to be dominated by B3 and B7 was much slower, so I was using 4G only. However, early this year B7 started to be the better band in my area and I'm enjoying my 4G+ speed at more than 100Mbps alk the time.

Having tried both, I still prefer B618. M1 cannot pull signal as good as B618.

Thank you so much! I'll get one to try it out.

dropping in to say...

cilaka digi, for the 2nd time I kena unauthorized charges 'DOB for fortumo'.
previously I made a report to MCMC to get a refund.
About 1 or 2 months later, kena again! And the timing of the said unauthorized charges, ngam ngam during the period where I didn't login to the router to check for fishy sms.
Last time the fortumo scammers initiate the charges by sending a sms, something like "your xxx game trial has been activated, please reply stop within x days if you don't want to continue"

I googled and found that this issue is still rampant in the digi community forums. Most, if not all of the victims use the sim card in a router.

https://www.google.com/search?q=digi+dob+fo...nt=firefox-b-ab

add on:
https://fortumo.com/blog/how-can-carrier-bi...d-be-prevented/

the irony, an article by FORTUMO themselves
Let me quote one part from the article:
If the device is a 4G data router and not a phone, payments should be disabled by default.

Exactly. Direct carrier billing was never set up on this account.

Unless it was the previous owner since the number is recycled as what I have read.

Yes it is. Tell Digi, either they clear your profile with no whatsoever funny subscription or you will escalate to MCMC again.

They really like to taichi, always blame it on user accidentally clicking pop ups and all.. saying they have no control over the transaction, BS
Despite indirectly saying "we are not to blame for these charges" they will still say "however we will help you request for a refund". LOL

The pattern is clear, they (whoever they are, could be digi or fortumo or both working hand in hand or some unknown scammer) target those who use the simcard in a 4G router.

You can't compare speed tests with actual downloads. Speed tests are only good to conpare with other speed tests. The actual speed of a download is determined by so many different factors, some of which has nothing to do with the service provider you're on.

Some download sites, especially those file sharing site, have limit their uploading. So, even you have high speed internet, you could download at their max uploading speed per IP.

Common congestion issue. Either you complain to Digi/MCMC or gotta move on. Nothing much can be done.

Hi,
What is the difference between using an Infinite plan compared to their other Broadband Monthly 65 or Broadband monthly 105 ?
Is it just the quota ? Or will the Broadband package get higher priority during peak hours ?
Thanks

Even though it is a postpaid plan, I use it for Internet mainly and Roam Like Home feature when I go overseas.
If data plan is your priority with no worry for quota, you cannot go wrong with Infinite 150.

Yours also not bad la, higher than many people.
Back in my hometown, if Digi's mood is good, I can get over 100Mbps too. Hopefully I can achieve such high speed too when I go back hometown for three weeks holiday in end of the year.

Well, you will need to wait for SIM card to arrive, then call Digi to kick start porting. After that have to wait till U Mobile releases you then only you can use. Maybe in a week?

Have you informed TM that you wish to terminate your Streamyx since TM has imposed a 30-days notification.
Share if you could just terminate without 30-days notification.

You cannot claim for broadband only and it's part of lifestyle tax relief. It has other components like mobile phone, laptop, gym membership and etc. Even if without broadband I already maxed out 2.5k. laugh.gif

Some still managed to cancel within the same day even after the implementation on 1st August. So, try your luck.

Not sure if that will happen, I'm using 22d too but not Celcom unit. I bought from Europe.

How do avoid 22d set ? Can we check the route first ? Question such as router warranty and the unlock unit and etc , I think better ask at the B618 thread.

About Digi infinite , what is the upload speed ? is it stable 5mb ? or can go higher ?

It's at the bottom of the router, if 22d just skip lo.

It depends, I'm in B7 20MHz area so my upload speed is stable 40-45Mbps.

Yes you can. TM are not like Celcom where they do check your usage address coverage before registering. TM will just tell you that your address are not covered and are you willing to take the risk?
Not sure now if there are any changes on the term smile.gif.

what your indoor reception bar on the phone? have u check outdoor near your house, could be signal weak, could be congested too and see which band your phone is connected to.

new modem around that price... better performance is get b618-65d, cheapest is self sign up from tm.

B315s-22 is 4g LTE modem right? I dont need speed up to 300 because my location coverage is not that good anyway. I just want stable connection
*
b315s-22 is usable if u not going for fast connection.

but cons is b315 vs b618
b315 2x2mimo antenna
b618 4x4mimo antenna

signal n performance wise is higher... depends on your indoor signal also see is strong or weak.

if plan to buy new b315, suggest bettter u get a 2nd units from fb seller. not worth the price for new units. many are selling off 2nd modem due to b618. b618 also selling like hot cakes....

QUOTE(AmeiN @ Oct 29 2018, 05:24 PM)
Is it true need to subscribe atleast 1month before teminate if buy from TM?

What if I buy the unlock celcom unit (old stock) if celcom release new firmware update, will effect the "unlock" or not hmm.gif
*
locked set also can be unlock. but u need to spent extra penny to get the unlock code from seller.

price 22d and 65d not far... why want to get 22d? 22d also support VoLTE, moded la by seller(voice call problems not sure solved or not even with volte available). celcom set i'm not sure.

All telco network are greatly depend on location. E.g. House A location could get only 2mbps, then walking to house B (like 15 house away), you could get 50mbps.
Do Note I say WALKING, very near in just the same area.

Band 7 is fast but the latency "PiNG" would be bad.
Band 3 latency is more bettet and stable but congested.
B3 + B7 latency would be like B7 only.
Could you or anyone tell why?

in my room only one specific spot can get over 80mbps, some other spot can get half the speed and all other spot can get less than 10mbps. my small room is 4m x 4m x 4m only. take some time to get the spot located. my friend at other room max can 20mbps only.

Well, my experience is different house (just nearby) would be of different speed. Never thought of even different room would give different speed too.

Yes you can. TM are not like Celcom where they do check your usage address coverage before registering. TM will just tell you that your address are not covered and are you willing to take the risk?
Not sure now if there are any changes on the term smile.gif.

Will they request us to get a RM79 or I can just buy the modem ?

30Mbps downstream, 20Mbps upstream. Very good compared to my old yes4g.

I think I'm okay with this. Using Huawei E5786 mifi. Too bad cannot reach 100mbps. I think im gonna add some repeater in the house.

I supposed no because I do the same too. You cannot finish 1TB by doing that way..
If you really exceed 1TB, speed will be reset on new monthly bill cycle.

Huawei E5786 can use band locking too? And what kind of antenna this mifi modem use?

It was raining heavily yesterday, all telco was down. Now digi line speed got below 10Mbps, while my usually slow umobile is faster 30Mbps.

4G means it is not LTE-A, it could be your area is not covered for it.

Not yet.. i think this sim is quite good too. I use it in my phone as secondary sim for data. The 4G coverage is quite good. TM guy told me got no coverage in my area but when I tried in my phone got full bar of 4G unifi connection. the speed is good too. I think this is a keeper.

That's because either your B3 or B7 signal is weak.

Bases on digi coverage page I'm in their LTE-A coverage. The speed actually not that bad. I'm able to get ~50-60 Mbps off peak and ~20-40 Mbps peak but eyeing on 100mbps smile.gif

Rsrp on both B3 and B7 is -73dbm and -105dbm. Is that consider weak?

You didn't get 4G+ means it is not covered. You have to see 4G+ showing up. The coverage page is not accurate sometimes. hmm.gif
I can get 4G at 80Mbps and 4G+ above 100Mbps.

Your B3 signal is very good, B7 is a bit weak.
RSRP for B3 and B7 in my area are -98dbm and -110dbm. I could see 4G+ signal on my phone, but just for a few seconds. Believe or not, sometimes with 4G+ signal, my download speed is 2mbps and upload is 1mbps only.

Well, with your B3 alone, your connection is better than many people with 4G+ signal.

My expectation too high maybe smile.gif but with that 4G+ speed is that considered your place super congested?

Need to ask sifus here. If I get a digi infinite sim, slot it into a modem router, it will work automatically as data modem? Or are there some complicated settings that needs to be done? Appreciate advice for newbee here.

Nighthawk M1 (Telstra unit) seems cant CA B3+B7. Single B7 speed almost similar to CA B3+B7. Also there is no 4G+ shown on the screen but 4G only. Does anyone can verify about this?

means that most likely there is no 4G+ service in the area and CA is not working.
thanks.

u missunderstanding with VoLTE ba.....

using internet call wont be charged like whatsapp video call/voice call...

if u using normal call no, charges will be applied.

VoLTE - 4G voice call, mean your internet still running in 4G, even incoming call/outgoing.

1. from user comment and exprience, once reach 1TB speed will be capped at 5mbps/10mbps.
2. yes, u can call for reset, but not sure success or not may got tnc cant too often.
3. b618-65d best modem at market now. fiber unifi maxis?? this is fiber.... not suitable to use sim type 4G+/4G modem.

Making VoLTE calls is no different from making normal GSM calls as far as call billing is concerned. If you're charged for calling X country through GSM, you'll still be charged the same rate if making a VoLTE call to that country.

ya... its really misleading lol. u also need to upgrade to miui 10 and apply the default (non poco) notification shade style in the theme app, if not the signal is only 4 divisions instead of 5..

can install netmonster too for 4g stats. pls dont try to play with the 'device info' mobile data settings cos its broken and will break your mobile data...

Honestly the speed is very bad for CA, if that's true. Even single band is bad too. Need others to validate as well.

yes it shows 4G only. single B7 the speed makes no diff with B3+B7 in my location. my location has 4G+ as shown on my huawei mate 9. maybe the latest firmware unable 2CA yet.

It simply means your area's dominant band is B7. I used to have the same issue too when my B3 was the same as B3+B7.
However, when my area was upgraded both my B618 and M1 were having about the same speed - B618 was slightly more around 10Mbps. That's the reason I sold off my M1 as I still prefer higher speed though bulkier. biggrin.gif

Btw, is this TENDA 4G680 4G good? Currently using usb hotspot stick Huawei MF79 for more than a year n suffer 4-9mbps speed at batu 9 1/2..
*
dont but e5186 or b525 anymore..new units is expensive than b618-65d offer by TM. unless u are buying 2nd unit.

cheapest way is walkin selected tmpoint and self sign up. mostly will be out of stock. if lucky u might have it. else leave no, and wait them call u when restock.

hi all, just wan to ask,
DIGI INFINITE 150 ni sesuai tak untuk gaming online? mcm main dota2, pubg, overwatch etc.
aku nak cucuk sim nie kat modem 4g aku. boleh ke? duduk kt bilik sewa je. bosan x buat ape, huhuhuuh
*
depends on area/the tower condition. some are good some are bad.

but is not stable as fiber or streamyx. u might have latency problems.

Streaming not an issue, but gaming..haha. shakehead.gif

Get from TM Point. RM 588 I think but well save more for it.

Can't buy outright from TM right? Have to sign up for plan. Then you have to add a month's billing cost to the unit.

Yes but can sign up today and cancel tomorrow. Many have done that.
Or even cancel on the same day. Pro-rated cost, not even RM 5?

wanna check with you guys

I use tp-link MR200 with digi i150
at the current spot where I put the router, the signal is 3 bars
speed fluctuates a lot, highest I managed to get is 30Mbps ish.

I don't use this connection daily as it is for my tenants and I already have unifi but I was told by the people who use it here that the speed is smooth for web browsing, youtube

Recently I tested the router on the 4th floor, and signal increased to 4 bars

I could get consistent 40 to 50Mbps on speedtest

So I'm thinking.. If I get a better LTE antenna like this, is there a chance for the signal to increase from 3 bars to 4 bars at the original spot? (which is ground floor)

btw, decided not to get the nighthawk m1
that was supposed to be for a 1 day event where I need internet to do a livestream. I tested with digi on MR200 the speed wasn't good enough at that location, I though a better modem like the nighthawk would solve it but a better solution is to just use celcom or maxis prepaid with the MR200 laugh.gif

Don't waste your money if you want to use Digi infinite for gaming.
For me, the latency should be stable at 100-200ms when ONLY ONE user and it's NOT in congested time.

Seems it is not meant for me. Been using this around 2 months already. Normal time can get 30mbps++ which is already good for me. Peak time only can get max 1.5mbps and sometimes not even reach 1mbps. Sigh

Hi, I want to ask everyone's opinion, I wanted to get this plan to do some work with tethering with about 30 Chromebook at the same time, should I get it? Digi line around my place is quite stable but I feel a bit scared if I cannot tether that many Chromebooks at the same time.

Thank you for your opinions.

Just get Infinite 150 to get unlimited tethering. No issue for tethering as my SIM is in the router all the time.

Lately, the speed of my 4mbps streamyx is really slow (like 0.1mbps on speedtest). I called 100 for help but customer service never pick up. And there is no fibre options in my area(Kluang Johor). So I started exploring for alternative on internet, and I found this thread.

I subscribed to the unifi wireless broadband this morning and got the Huawei B618s-65d router with unifi sim immediately that had cost me RM565. I went home, tested with the unifi sim, the speed was somehow around 1 to 2mbps. It does not impress me at all, so I simply tested it with a digi prepaid with 1 day unlimited pass RM8. The speed test result is crazy :

Attached Image

This result wasn't what I was expecting because I have done coverage check, and also double confirm with the TM point that my area is not in 4G coverage, but looking back at the Screamyx and having not tested with Digi line yet, I decided to give it a try. If it's not working I will just sell the router since I already got it way cheaper than the RRP RM1099. The image speaks everything, It's more than I expected. I'm just worried that they will revise or remove the Digi Inifinite package in the future, at that time I will have to look for something else.

Use first and worry later.
I have been using since April 2017, still surviving.

Also Maxis also rolled out fiber and wireless broadband unlimited quota package, so I think Infinite 150 will stay for now.

Where did u see Maxis offer "unlimited wireless broadband"?
Do you mean unlimited fibre + unlimited with any one plan?
If we don't have fibre, how to subscribe unlimited one plan?
Furthermore, has the unlimited one plan got unlimited tethering?
And, any confirmation for Digi infinite will remain?

60 days only I see. Never suspend before.

Post edited. Earlier I was triggered by the way how you questioned me.

Anyway, read back my post- "I think", I didn't speak on behalf of Digi. Don't need to question me on the Maxis thingy because it was a general opinion from my end. You may ignore it.

Obviously if you know how to do it you can share with someone with fiber access and 300GB tether may be enough for some users, sufficient for me. Of course I can't speak for all. Regardless, it goes back to the point which I mentioned earlier, it was just my general opinion.

If you mean the MR200, you will need one of those USB to 12V adapter with a small step up module.

Pay upfront 2 months monthly fee.

Use first and worry later.
I have been using since April 2017, still surviving.

Also Maxis also rolled out fiber and wireless broadband unlimited quota package, so I think Infinite 150 will stay for now.
*
Thanks for the info. After moving from Digi Infinite --> Celcom Wireless --> back to Digi Infinite, will jump ship to Maxis. i150 has been giving me horrible speeds again.

yeah, weird.. because the digi website clearly says that you have to personally walk-in to replace sim. 3rd party replace for you cannot.

and what's weirder is the transaction time after business hour.

Btw is it very easy to purchase via digi apps? Seems the owner didn't even know they're buying it. No need authentication or something?

MyDigi app behaves differently compared to the other telco apps.
If your phone uses Digi mobile data, the app will auto login into the app. No authentication needed.
So they are using the loophole by changing the SIM, put the new SIM and auto login.
After that, go for a shopping spree on the app.

Not like MyMaxis app, it needs your email and password, then you can proceed to login into the app.
Hotlink RED app behaves the same like MyDigi.

max 5 devices to ensure good network performance..but it's all depends on your network quality and speed... no problem with 10 or more devices connected at the same time actually

Hi,

What is the best wifi router to used?

1) TP Link MR200 (Specs below)

or use the Huawei B618 (currently subsidized with Celcom and Unifi). What I heard, Celcom model is locked.

Digi Centre or MNP out to another telco and abandon that no. in new telco.
Don't ever try to ignore payment, you will be blacklisted for all telcos. Some years ago, it even affects your CCRIS. So don't ever do it.

Unless you no plan take any plan in very soon future then you can let the Telco blacklist you everywhere.

You can un-blacklist back later after you paid back all what you own.

In short it is better don't do that unless you no money to paid back all now and plan paid only one short in future

If it’s true, for billing cycle starts on 16 Dec (16 Dec-15 Jan), will RLH be FREE for this billing?

Yes, it’s free until end of this year. For your mid-month billing cucle, you have to ask DiGi to clarify.

RLH is great indeed. Used it recently in Thailand, Taiwan and Hong Kong. Besides extending it for another year, I'm hoping they will extend the list of covered countries from the current 10 countries to 20 countries biggrin.gif

Been using Infinite 150 for more than 6 months after unsub my home fibre. Never had a problem with performance (always 4G+), till recently. Staying around Subang Area. Now everytime I tether to my PC for normal youtube/gaming & sometimes stream, I get H+ (Literally everytime). Only use around 100+ GB confirm wont hit the 1tb FUP.

Am using my phone to hotspot for the longest of time and always had 20MBps previously. Anyone facing the same problem?

many are letting go old modem coz upgraded b618.

well modem good or no good also depends on wat user want.

MR200 not 4G+ modem,
no call function.
cant lock band.
draw signal weaker.

May i ask what is the lock band function?

Im looking modem that can get good signal and with good speed (20-30Mbps is good enough for me). The call function never used.

I'm thinking to terminate my Unifi as it's under utilized now as I'm out most of the time.

Any i150 subscribers residing in Seremban? How is the service so far? Good? Reliable?

I'm in Seremban Jaya and Bandar Sri Sendayan.

So far so good in Rasah Kemayan, near S2 area. It was tested at my sister's house but I seldom use there because she has UniFi 500Mbps.

Thanks fruitie. As I'm alternating between few places in Seremban, I think the best choice would be to get this i150 as it has Infinite Tethering. I can carry it anywhere I go rather than to subscribe to Streamyx or Unifi at each place I go.

My current 100Mbps Unifi is rarely used. I believe I only use around 50GB of data a month or maybe less. I used to use about 500GB of data previously.

If I were to buy a prepaid sim to test the speed at the places I go, would I get the same speed on i150? I believe it shoud, yes?

Should be the same. Since you always alternating between places, yes better to get a wireless broadband.
I always travel too hence I relocated my UniFi from PJ to my sister's house in Seremban while I use Infinite 150 at my place. Much flexible.

Used to have both but now only keeping B618. M1 is still lacking in term of pulling signal and speed is about 10-15Mbps lesser than B618. I can get around 120Mbps max with M1 while B618 is 130-140Mbps.

For me, M1 wins in term of portability.

How do I know which band is better? I tested B3, B7, B8 and B3+B7. Only B8 gave me around 10mbps, the other three (B3, B7 and B3+B7) gave me around 50mbps speed.

Is that consider good already? I see some of you getting 100 mbps.

Wireless broadband depends on location. If your area has high users density, speed will be lowered.
50Mbps is decent.

Alright, I would assume Mont Kiara area is high density.

Shall try again at home. icon_rolleyes.gif

Just wonder if B3 alone can give me around 40 mbps, and B7 alone also around 30-40 mbps. Ideally B3+B7 should give around 70-80 mbps speed?

I am having very very bad connection in my area.
Within 5 minutes, line disconnect a dozen times.

Location: Pulau Tikus,Penang

Damn u digi..i cant do my work !!
*
I also stay around Pulau Tikus. Luckily for me my house falls under indoor 4G LTE-A coverage area so connection is very stable.
During peak congestion periods I get around 20 - 30 Mbps. In middle of night when no one using I can get up to 150 - 160 Mbps.

You can check Digi Coverage here

I enabled volte and after testing found out that it doesn't play well with dtmf. So I request Digi to disable it. Simply unregister from the cpe is not enough.

depends on your location + device + network condition + time. get bangsawan tier modem, can easily reach 80-150mbps and rarely goes below 30.

dunno what is cili padi addon, just started using digi for a month after my infinite yes4g become limited biggrin.gif

get the locked celcom 22D variant. should be easy to find, some people are eager to get rid of that thing because they buy without doing research.

ask for 300 firm. after that try to unlock using some tutorials. if fail, you might need to fork out extra 100 to pay for unlocking service.

Should be default turned on
Unless you want to pick bands, then you need those apps to tweak.

Sometimes, speed is better with CA off than on due to range of B7 band

Well, the unlocking part should be straight forward but trying to look for a used unit is more challenging. I can't seem to be able to find any used unit in GS.

Perhaps, if you know any, please share here or PM me. I'd really appreciate that.

Thanks.

Just wanna update.. for the 3rd time I received another unauthorized direct carrier billing charge by the shit scam company fortumo.. in the bill it is shown as 'DOB for fortumo'. Fortunately this time it's only a single charge, RM3.99 IIRC

Managed to get digi to refund it yet again. (the first time I reported to MCMC since digi tried to wash their hands)
Wrote a long ranting email to them vmad.gif
can see many victims in their community forums.

I've said this before, it seems most, if not all the victims use the sim card only in a router
It's almost like someone is feeding them information about which number to scam, lol
Since the sim card is in a router, it is less likely that the victim will detect the scam early (since there will be a SMS saying something about a game trial being activated and will auto renew if not stopped within 7 days).

A big irony is, when I was searching more into this issue with direct carrier billing, I stumbled upon an article by Fortumo themselves, and in that article the writer said something like "if the sim card is in a router, direct carrier billing should be disabled by default'. laugh.gif
I even sent digi this article and that particular excerpt.

I check for sms daily for my router.

could this sms charge was caused by malicious pop up ads from shady websites? i always stream movies use openload player, their ads keep popping up even with adblock on. and sometimes i will get ads that pretend to be digi, asking for bill payment and TAC number.

I'm soon a member of this club. A few questions which I couldn't find in Digi website. I tried to use Live Chat.. dayumnnnn... I ain't no talking to a robot.

1. How many device can be shared, say if I'm using B618 modem with I150?

2. I have 2 prepaid lines. Can I convert both of them as supplementary lines and pay RM10 for that service?

3. Those supplementary lines will be used on 2 gadgets meant for internet only. How much quota is allocated for the supplementary lines?

4. Main line is gonna stay at home inside B618. Supplementary lines are mobile, inside gadget. Is it possible?

1. No limit so long your router supports.

2. Normal supplementary lines charges apply, definitely not RM 10. So no point.

3. Nope, supplementary will not share quota with principal (Digi Infinite).

4. See no. 2 and 3.

I only told digi to do so, in fact I asked them to disable direct carrier billing for my account, was told cannot I have to do it myself. I never set it up in the first place

If the sim card is being used in a phone that would be more likely
for this particular rubbish fortumo company, there is no TAC whatsoever. it will start with a sms saying something like this "your free trial with some game has been activated. will auto renew within 7 days. to unsubscribe, (fortumo link here)"

another possible angle is the number is recycled, probably previous owner subscribed to it or so. I noticed 2,3 smses in the router about unlinking facebook account or something that needs a TAC or code, not sure if it was really FB or what.

digi's default response is, though not being said directly, the customers are idiots who simply subscribe to this shitty fortumo or some random game service. the CS will then tell you to disable direct carrier billing in the playstore or use the sms STOP ALL method - which didn't work for me.
have a look
https://www.google.com/search?q=digi+dob+fo...iw=1366&bih=632

I even removed the sim card from the router and put it in a spare phone just to check and it wasn't even set up for direct carrier billing.

Report to them and ask for a refund
Most probably they will reply it is not their service blablabla.. basically telling you to sort it out yourself.
Once you get this reply, tell them you will report to MCMC because you are certain you didn't subscribe to it or surf dodgy websites and all plus there are many other victims in the digi community forum itself.

The next reply from them will be helpful laugh.gif
At least that's what happened to me.

I did report to MCMC though after their first unhelpful response. I even attached it in my report.

I'm gonna have to look for a better option for those 2 lines.

The criterias are:
1. Minimum monthly payment.
2. Prepaid
3. Internet quota used for whatsapp, waze, telegram, lite web browsing and online shopping. I guess 1-2GB per month is suffice.
4. Any telco will do.

After few attempts I finally got the right pop up. This one say to subscribe to whatever content. Usually they ask to pay bill. I can imagine how some might accidentally clicked on this if it was on mobile.

did some quick googling for the number, it seems that this is a known issue.

2 Yoodo sim cards arrived today. RM12 for 2GB of data which valid for 30 days. Speed test done and am happy with it. But still too early to make any comment.

3 Unifi #bebas sim cards will be collected on Monday at TM Point. Gonna test it out too. Plan to be tested is #kredittakmati data which is RM50 for 4GB of 3G data and 4GB of 4G/LTE data combo as you mentioned.

Another option is RedOne Amazing8 which is postpaid. Postpaid is not ma thing actually. Will look into it later.

yoodo line is good..fully celcom 4G running.

in fb there seller sales digi rm1 daily unlimited too, but would not be your name on the sim. speeed 3mbps unlimited hotpsot and quota.

unifi mobile 4G quota is quite pricey

umobile gx30 also good, but coverage is an issue. can try it too.
