Modem and Routers buying guide:
  • Getting an LTE+ which means routers that are CAT 6 and above are able to take advantage of Digi LTE+ network.
  • It is able achieve this by combining 2 bands (currently 2600Mhz and 1800Mhz) in order to have a better performance.
  • Most LTE modems will come with antennas. You can always purchase an external antenna to boost the signal.

Factors that affect network performance:

1) Your device:
• Getting a new LTE modem especially a LTE CA capable one will have better performance.
• You might be having a faulty modem, try switching your SIM card with other modems.

2) Your signal coverage:
• If you are not within LTE-A coverage area or getting awful 1 bar signal, don't expect to have 20Mbps of speed.
• Consider placing your modem at a better spot.

3) Congested with other users:
• If you live in an area where there are a lot of Digi users, be prepared with network congestion.
• Even you have a 100Mbps modem, under serious congestion, you may not even get 5Mbps.

4) Timing:
• The network will be more congested at a certain time when there's a lot of users on the network. Bear with it, it is normally the fastest during midnight.

Check for LTE-A coverage on Samsung devices:
[attachmentid=8831039]
Only works with new Samsung phones with CA ability. (S7, S8 etc)

Updated the first post a bit to include the Infinite 150 1TB FUP.

DiGi 4G LTE coverage map is not working somehow.

Anyone tried to power up TP Link MR7200 via power bank using this cable?
*
If you mean the MR200, you will need one of those USB to 12V adapter with a small step up module.

Normal USB can only supply 5V.

You can send it directly to Huawei and it will be much faster.

I sent to Huawei at Kuching service center. Tm looks like dunno how to claim warranty. Even worse. I have to use mobile tplink mr7300 now... Dunno how long will reach here. Past one week already
*
You have to follow up with Huawei. It is a lot quicker over here is Peninsula Malaysia.

I guess they need to ship it here hence the delay.

Thanks people!

I just got my sim activated. But all my speedtest results are just 20mbps DL. I'm inside LTE A coverage and pakai ipong xs max. Is that normal as I seen other forumers are getting 70mbps+
*
How many bars of signal are you getting?

Are you in a densely populated area? Both of this will impact speed.

I'm going to terminate my i150 tomorrow, I couldn't stand everything is slow Netflix, youtube, etc... but speed test is 50-70Mbps - I've been using it since it was first introduced and something is really happening in the background (digi must have something to do with this.)

Lucky to those who never have a problem.
*
I too face such issue. I guess they implemented some sort of QoS at some congested location.

Morning guys.

Need some advised from all the guru's here.

Im shifting house from an area under fiber coverage to an area without fiber coverage in coming months. Was planning to subscribe to Digi Infinite 150.

Main usage will be for gaming (PS4) and also movie streaming (Netflix, iFlix and etc).

Any recommendation on modem than I can purchase? Anyone here using i150 for gaming on PS4? Can we get Nat Type 2 as i'm more towards online game such as Anthem and The Division.

Really hope can get some light from all the guru's here.

TQ in advanced.
*
Huawei B618 is the best wireless router you can get right now. It is a little pricey but definitely worth your investment.

Nope, private IP is provided so it is not NAT Type 2. For that you will need a wired ISP. wink.gif

digi not work with cloudflare dns... once u set, some site cant be access..some can access.
*
Sometime the DNS resolver itself is not working properly. This is why I prefer Google DNS, it is the most consistent among all.

Hmm. B618 is spring load or using tray for sim?
Because mostly spring load can't really use adapter as it easy stuck inside...
If tray I can figure out how to do. Nowday Sim card was design to mini, micro, nano. And pop out what you need.
*
It is using a spring loader. You can use an adapter but just be careful when inserting the SIM.

I worry wasn't insert, more on removing. If it stuck 100% need to disassemble the device.
*
Use a good adapter and you should be fine.

that's bad, cause it asking consumer to bear the testing cost sad.gif

All telco suppose to show the performance rating for specific area to consumer before they sign up the package.
*
It is difficult to provide an accurate performance rating due to many factors like congestion and device used.

Wireless isn't the same as wired connection.

I guess the mod that I know is different.

Don't want to talk more about this well.
