RLH is great indeed. Used it recently in Thailand, Taiwan and Hong Kong. Besides extending it for another year, I'm hoping they will extend the list of covered countries from the current 10 countries to 20 countries biggrin.gif

Don't know this is OT or not, but couldn't find any MAXIS tread.
And wonder if Maxis is finally countering Digi infinite 150? It's written that "Get unlimited data even if you're not in fibre coverage area"

Indeed a better deal from maxxis, might jump ship soon.
*
Do note you need to pair it up with Maxis Postpaid 98 or above call plan and you shall get RM30 rebate for 12 months for your MaxisONE Go. The actual monthly subscription fee for MaxisONE Go is RM138.

I got friends using one prime, most of them uses over 300GB monthly. The 300GB FYP for one prime at least is only on video streaming...over 300GB they'll lower video quality to 480p. Not sure about the broadband plan hmm.gif
*
I’m another Maxis Unlimited Postpaid and Fibre (formerly known as MaxisONE Prime) user here. There is a lot of misinformation going on in various parts of this forum, saying or suggesting that once you hit 300GB of data across all your mobile share lines, your data won’t be usable anymore until the next billing cycle. This is however, NOT TRUE!

As clearly mentioned in the published T&C of Maxis Unlimited Postpaid and Fibre (MaxisONE Prime) on Maxis website, Maxis may at its absolute discretion manage your video streaming quality to normal quality only once FUP of 300GB is hit for that particular billing cycle. Otherwise everything else should run normally at full potential 4G/4G+ speed. If you are having any problem, you should call 123.

I call to 123 before.

they told me the speed will throttle to 64kbps. LOL

What's your experience so far?
*
The Maxis home fibre is for my own exclusive use. Whilst both my parents use their Maxis mobile data 24/7. Since the start of MCO, they have consistently hit over 300GB of mobile data usage every billing cycle based on our own tracking. But Maxis so far never managed the speed of their video streaming, and they can browse the internet just fine.

By the way, we’re staying in the part of KL where there are more Maxis subscribers than Digi subscribers.

Tell the CS to email a black and white copy of the T&C stating so to you because it contradicts with the published T&C pertaining to mobile data allocation to Maxis Unlimited Postpaid and Fibre on their website.

I agree that why should anyone views a video quality less than 1080p quality if that is available unless you need to save on data. 360p just doesn’t cut it anymore in 2020 biggrin.gif

May I know what's the difference between a staff and a moderator?

The staff said we should end the discussion but you still continue the discussion? icon_idea.gif
*
Staff is of course one post higher than moderator.

fruitie wanted to end the discussion because she saw no point of the discussion to limit our viewing experience since Digi Infinite does not impose any limit to your video viewing experience. Whilst I merely echoed the general sentiment that why limit our video viewing experience is a subpar video quality. I wasn’t trying to carry on with the discussion. Perhaps the picture is clearer to you now. I didn’t have to reply here had you not asked such a question here, so here we are, have to go off-topic again. Hope this solves your curiosity. Oh, perhaps we really need to avoid going off-topic now icon_idea.gif

How is Digi Infinite 150? Most importantly the speed?

I'm currently on Postpaid plan and I don't use it much because I'm connected to Unifi 100 at home most of the time, but already paying RM139 for unifi. I don't even watch hyppTV.
*
I’m a Digi Infinite 150 user for more than 2 years now.

Speed is very dependant on location. In KL where I live, the speed is just so-so despite this is a Digi 4G+ area and I can see the 4G+ signal in my Huawei B618-65D account management portal. However, when it is used with the Huawei B618-65D, speed is constant at 30Mbps and I can stream 1080p video on my LG Smart TV, stream another 1080p YouTube video on my iPad and do general browsing on websites on my iPhone. Basically you can say at a constant speed of 30Mbps, there is no problem for 3 users to connect to the same internet at the same time.

Prior to getting the Huawei B618-65D modem router, I used an old Huawei phone as hotspot. It was okay as it was usable. But otherwise, Huawei B618-65D did make a huge difference with the markedly faster and consistent speed.

I am still using Digi Infinite 150 now but I very rarely use its hotspot feature nowadays as I have a Maxis Fibre that my dad installs at our house because he wants unlimited Maxis mobile data for his own use. So I use the Maxis Fibre mostly at home now.

But otherwise, do get the Huawei B618-65D modem router. Upfront cost is on the high side but it’s worth every single penny.

It is temporary, DiGi already stop doing this on May, 2020.

Now in month of June, 2020, I can assure again it didn't capped after 300 GB.
My modem is only 4G no + yet. This is the correct speed I get when no capped.

user posted image

This is the speed I get after being capped. It is back to normal only capped after spend 1 TB of data.

It’s only 3rd day into your new billing cycle and you’ve already hit more than 1TB mobile data usage ? That’s quite unthinkable for me as mine is still less than 2GB now since I use mostly Maxis Fibre line now. Even when I depended solely on my Digi Infinite 150, I never used more than 400GB of data.

I just reloaded it recently so it shouldn't be within that grace period. This number is an old legacy one with Digi (more than 10 years) so that's why I mentioned perhaps it's the SIM card (although I'm not sure if that would even be an issue). It's very strange. It keeps showing only H+. I checked Digi's coverage map and Happy Garden/Kuchai is within its coverage, so I'm not sure what's wrong sad.gif
*
Try to get a new Digi sim to try it out. Because once you ordered the Digi Postpaid 100 Infinite online, your RM200 deposit cannot be refunded in case you want to do early termination.

Yeah, I'm thinking about doing so. Can I get this SIM pack directly from Digi's online store or do I need to get it from a Digi centre?
*
You can order online but buying it directly from shop is faster I suppose. I think I’ve seen new Digi SIM Pack at Speedmart 99 too.

QUOTE(geekystef @ Jun 24 2020, 02:25 PM)
Oh, it can't be refunded? That sucks but I can understand from Digi's pov. So, in other words, I'm locked in for at least 2 months for i100.
*
Yes the initial deposit cannot be refunded. And there is a RM10 stamp duty too for new Digi Postpaid registration.

It’s actually still possible to buy Digi LiVE Prepaid starter pack on Digi website. Cannot choose number though.

Hi guys, sorry if this has been asked before, will external antennas help with speed improvement for huawei modem? Particularly the unlocked b310 model?

I am currently testing digi connection with prepaid sim, interested in the infinite 150. The most i can get is about 17mbps
*
Buy the B618-65D unlocked set or B818-263. You won’t regret it.

hi. anyone tried downdrade from infinite 150 to 100? would the speed cap make much difference?

i use about 70-80gb monthly, on youtube & netflix hd. seems overkill to keep using 150
*
I had a second line on Digi Postpaid 100 Infinite a year ago. It was ok. No problem watching YouTube at 1080P or Netflix at HD either.

Then even better 👍
Above average in KV area 💪

Sabah and Sarawak tend to outperform KV when it comes to Digi 4G/4G+ speed and stability. Hence most of my contacts from there have 016-prefix for their mobile phone number. Almost everyone has been using Digi since secondary school.

Anybody who intends to buy B818-263 (FarEasTone - Taiwan Telco set) should do it fast as price only keeps increasing due to high demand. The price was less than RM500 back in April and May because many hesitated to buy.

I have both B618-65D unlocked V81 (MYS warranty) and B818-263 (FarEasTone - Taiwan Telco set) and both work great. Only complaint about B818-263 is the rather poor WiFi footprint. But given the price is almost RM200 cheaper than B618-65D, B818-263 is definitely still a good buy.

Another thing about the Taiwan B818-263 is that it is VoLTE enabled and it will work even with the normal phone line cable (no need RJ45 cable). I found the voice to be clearer compared to B618-65D too.

It’s area dependant, so only you can find out yourself.
