rclxm9.gif Welcome to the 10TH version of the thread. rclxm9.gif

Digi's network
Digi operates 2G GSM/GPRS/EDGE, 3G WCDMA/HSPA+ & 4G LTE/LTE-A network.
Here is a list of network bands that Digi runs on.
» Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... «

Details of LTE
Digi's LTE runs on 1800MHz and 2600MHz. The former offers great coverage indoors & outdoors and can be identified with their cell ID in the range of 20X, the latter offers much better capacity & speed, albeit with much worst coverage. It can also be identified with the cell ID in the range of 10X.
Digi's LTE-A network combines this two network bands to achieve theoretically double the speed of regular LTE.

Requirements
To use LTE, there are three requirements, a 4G-LTE enabled SIM Card, a 4G-LTE capable mobile device and you have to be within Digi's LTE network. To use LTE-A, you need a LTE-A capable device and be within their LTE-A coverage area.
To check whether your SIM card is 4G-LTE compatible, simply SMS
LTE or lte to 20000

Here is their network coverage page.

Plans & Packages
Postpaid Offerings
Digi has updated their postpaid offerings once again, head over to their website for the latest information while I update the table.
Accurate as of 4th of April 2016 Link here: http://new.digi.com.my/postpaid-plans
Digi's postpaid packages are split into two varieties, More Voice & More Internet.
» Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... «

Family Plan
Accurate as of 4th of May 2016 Link here : http://new.digi.com.my/postpaid/family-plans
Explaination
To have a family line, you need to pick a package from Digi's offerings. After that, you will need to add on RM10 for data sharing feature to be allowed. If the package that you pick has no unlimited calls, you can opt to add on RM10 to get unlimited calls to all network. A supplementary line is RM38 and RM10 for data only SIM.
It is not mandatory for you pick RM48(More Voice 28 + RM10 Unlimited Calls + RM10 Internet Sharing) as the plan for your principle line. You can change the base plan to other packages like More Voice 48 etc. You can add on data upgrades to your principle line holder to share it with your supplementary lines. You can allocate a certain quota to any of your numbers.

As of right now it is still unclear whether you can subscribe to a plan and add on unlimited calls for RM10 or quota upgrades and not have any supplementary line.

Digi's family comes in three varieties.
» Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... «

You can add additional internet quotas. There are the three options.
» Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... «

Value Added Services
Internet Rollover
Carries any unused quota left from last month to the next.
Digi Music Freedom
Allows the user to stream music from supported music streaming apps without using up monthly data allocation.
A few more notable ones are direct billing to Google Play, unlimited WhatsApp and WeChat and free 30GB capture storage.

Prepaid Offerings

So I am still loyal to the Yellowman ISP...

Anyway, I am wondering people still using the old styling DiGi instead of the new styling Digi or digi...
I guess the old styling is more iconic? hmm.gif

Better emailed them. I call their hotline before this to enquire about call forwarding problem but no one answer. So i emailed them and got fast response plus they already solved the problem by resetting my call forwarding number setting.

Sent email at 1pm, got a reply with problem solved at 4pm.

I am currently under Digi smartplan 78 contract where i get 60mins free talk time and 200 sms with 3GB data monthly.

But the problem is normally my bill is around 100-120 because i call very frequent.

The contract is until this september but i think it's not worth and Digi dont allow me to change to a newer plan and asked me to pay RM200 penalty.

Is there no other way except paying the RM200 penalty?

Better pay the penalty and get the digi 78 promo now because when your contract ended in september, the plan will become digi 98. The promo valid till June, 30

The 78 plan promotion will end on June, maybe you check again later. I also have contract but will end at June, last month I checked I only need to pay RM50 penalty, but I can wait untill June to avoid penalty. BTW RM200 penalty still worth it, with RM20/month saving, the penalty cost can cover betwwen a year.

So you say that your bill is around RM100-120 and the penalty will be RM200 right?

So, lets say you take the SP 98 with a monthly fee of RM78, that would be a saving of RM22 to RM42 per month. It would take about 5-7 months to repay the penalty.

In conclusion, it is not worth it and you can try to ask Digi to allow you to change your plan 2 months early. You would save more doing that. icon_idea.gif

They won't give you so much full day day quota 1 lar. They want to encourage you to download during off-peak times only

Imagine no peak and off-peak, everybody download during peak times then die lor. In the end, it's those majority ppl that use for mobile internet will rage because FB load slow etc etc

yep, enough for some.

but, if they really honest with whole 100gb thing,
deswai i'm suggesting to cut the crap and just give us full day 100gb quota for rm185.

i'm willing to pay.

What plan is that?! 20GB for RM42?

I was on the following plans (Not too sure of the old one, actually)
i128(?) iPhone > Switched to Smart 65 (RM65 for 5GB) > Changed to 75V (RM75 for 7GB) > Now thinking about DP68 or DP98 because of the rollover.

Mum still on Smart65, there's a tablet plan (1GB which is absolute crap, so might cancel that)

Tell me tell me what's that RM42 for 20GB!
Gonna switch to that IMMEDIATELY! :-O (and get dad on board DiGi as well, and cancel silly 5mbps unifi)

[edit]
Just looked at the screencap again, it's "Digi Broadband 85"? Why issit so cheap for you? RM42?
Searched for it, and saw it here: http://new.digi.com.my/broadband
It's 8+12 and not 24/7 right? This broadband plan is not a postpaid plan, meaning I need to still keep my number and maybe get a cheap phone as hotspot or something? rclxub.gif

with this mindset among ISP, then we will never get to have true internet service that we can use anytime we want.

frankly speaking, one do not always used the internet quota only for downloading big stuff.

sometimes, we need high speed internet just to do our daily work at home, but how to do that if the 20GB anytime quota finished?
need to wait for 70GB midnight quota, and then only can do work?

ISP should invest more on upgrading their network & service, so that their network can sustain when there are a lot of bandwith being utilized by users 24/7.

if work at home, why don't use fixed line Internet? Your case is more like the exception rather than the norm. Wireless broadband is about mobility, not a replacement for fixed-line especially for heavy-duty stuff

No matter how much telco invest in their backhaul network etc, there is still the limited spectrum which will put a cap on bandwidth and capacity.

Although Digi's profit dropped, they are still maintaining their CAPEX, props to them. Apparently maxis' package is extremely expensive to repay their CAPEX.

thanks for the info.

so Digi is using fully China equipment

while Maxis & Celcom are using China & Finland..

no wonder Digi cost is cheaper. China suppliers would even give huge discount. until even US state of department made some inquiry on that innocent.gif

well still Digi would still win.

because of their parent holding company - Telenor.. they can bulk order & use in few countries where they're operating sweat.gif

Celcom too because Axiata also operating in few countries.

Maxis? Only in Malaysia & India (which in the process of selling off)

That's why said your case is an exception. maybe i generalise too much, but i don't think anybody working in sub-urban or rural areas need so huge amount of bandwidth for work.

Thinking to port out of maxis and considering either celcom or digi. How much has digi improved over the years in terms of coverage and stability?

I'm Mostly Klang Valley based

Also, their coverage map shows lte a available in my area. Anyone tested the speed and typical best effort connection speed?

You guys could try getting a prepaid test SIM to check your coverage. The coverage map is just a guideline and is not an accurate indication of coverage & speed. smile.gif

coz spectrum re-allocation only comes in July 2017.

DiGi will get 2x5MHz in 900MHz, vs only 2x2MHz now. Taikor Maxis and Celcom currentlyhave 2x16MHz and 2x17MHz, but reduced to 2x10MHz. Ohh, U Mobile should be better also since they get 2x5MHz

Quick question on rollover, So a 7gb plan with 2 gb rollover meaning following month I start with 9gb?
I'm still on because 75V, thinking to change to the rollover one, DGpostpaid 78.
Eventhough I just got on this 75V xD

Cool. 2 more days before the data resets, will do it then :-)
Everytime I switch plan, the pro-rate hurts the wallet.

Actually better to switch plan in the middle of the bill cycle. Unlike Maxis, DiGi will give you the full month's data quota regardless of how many days left in the billing cycle.

I just switched from 75v to 98vPromo on 4/4 and now I have 5.5GB to use before end of Mon 11/4!

Yup yup, but will be paying slightly more for the month. Everyone's wallet has different size, so will still hurt la.
Anyways, for the following reason, I'll probably do it 2 weeks later:
1) See webe and what's going on first before changing plan ;-)
2) Use up current data before new plan

So no harm. rclxms.gif

I noticed DiGi has removed the June date for the end of the current postpaid promotions on their site. Now it just says "limited time offer". All the telcos are eyeing one another to see who's making the next move.

WIN for the customers!

Hello guys, can anyone explain to me the Digi IDD internet club? I know the following;
1. RM10 subscription fee, charge once only.
2. 1gb internet at 64kbps.
3. RM10 IDD calls.

What I would like to know more is,
1. is the 1gb internet only given once or every month?
2. Are there any difference if subscribing from another prepaid other than best prepaid plan?
3. what is the limitation of the internet apart from speed? will it be pay per use after exceed 1gb?
4. Kindly enlighten me about the other benefits of this IDD internet club. I am thinking whether or not to go for it, but I never make IDD calls.

Thank you.

1. Every month , use mydigi app to monitor usage
2. Nah
3. Basically it is super slow and after you have exceeded 1GB which I doubt it , basically you'll be disconnected from the Internet
4. It just gives some perks , of extra quota and sometimes good offers (like buying internet top-up)

Can anyone come out with a table/list of all Digi prepaid version?
I found it to be very confusing (probably another conspiracy of the telco), where we have many different version of digi prepaid that offer different services/promos.
For example, I am using Digi New Best V1, that doesn't come with Birthday Bonus, but could enjoy Free internet quota all day long after a reload.
My friend, using Best Prepaid V1 (quite old version), come with Birthday Bonus, but could only use their Free internet quota from 1am-7am.

I believe there are more tricks in these different versions of digi prepaid, but digi will not make them clear to their customers.

Hi ...

I got 1 friend on contract end at 2017, penalty will be RM700++.
She is using the plan now is RM148 high voice unlimited call + 3GB.

With recent new plan, i'm comparing the closest plan is Digi postpaid RM128 9GB.
Can Digi upgrade the data?
My friend keep topup the data until every month pay RM190+...

Let's say she changes to SP 98 with discount of RM20, so that would be RM78 monthly.

You said she uses SP 148 with some top up (you said RM190++), I'll take an average of RM160.
Savings per month is RM148-RM78 = RM82

Penalty is RM858, so,
RM82*12 - RM858
=RM 984 - RM858
=RM126

If she takes SP98(RM78) and her current monthly bill average is RM160, she would save RM126.

Do u happen to know how long will it takes for the upgrade?
Any difference between going to Digi store and dealer?

Around 10 mins only.... assuming that there are only a few people inside the digi store.

*
Is it penalty fee will be calculation based on how many months is left under contract ??

You will have to ask Digi, but the more months left in your contract, the more the penalty is.

I don't think you understand what I mean.

I am doing calculations whether it would be worth it to pay the penalty and switch package.

You said her monthly bill can reach RM190++, so I took RM160 as an average.

The contract ends on May 2016, so that's 12months, that why RM160 - RM78(SP98) = RM82.
A savings of RM82 per month over a period of 12 months is RM984.
Her penalty, as you said, is RM858.
So, RM984-RM858 is RM126

So sum it all up, it is worth it to pay the penalty and change to other packages like SP98.

It all depends of area, can't stress that enough. Usually Digi's LTE network with OK signal strength has ping in the range of 50ms (in my experience). In my house, Digi's network is much more stable than Unifi lol sweat.gif

Ya, I'm looking to sign contract again with cheaper price of phone but I noticed that the contract plan is not as good as the normal Plan

Example:
SP 78 = 7GB, unlimited call
Digi Postpaid 68 More Internet = 6GB, 150 min & 150 SMS hmm.gif

As I recall, it's not necessarily re-contract.
And for now, SP78 is the best deal you can get, value for money if you talk more than 200mins per month.
And also, no free SMS for SP78, so each SMS count.
It's better directly head to Digi Centre, avoid other small Digi Authorize Dealer/Shop, as they might give wrong information.

hmm.gif Not re-contract, just sign another new contract + Phone.

Because to get for cheaper price of phone and seldom call more than 100 min per month, so most likely Digi Postpaid 68 More Internet (6GB, 150 min & 150 SMS) is good enough compare to SP78

Ya agreed, I have encounter once before in small Digi shop, will definitely go to SS2 Digi Centre for more information

*
Give them a call, I've just did. My wife's number is under my name, currently under smartplan 98. I've read somewhere that they've upgraded the smartplan 98 to 10GB with 4GB rolling, 300call minutes/sms. So, I called them this morning, at first the rep hesitate, saying I should complete the contract (Oct 17), then I used this "Are you becoming like MAXIS now?", the rep was giggling and then said let him check for a minute or two, put me on hold and then said, yes, we could actually upgrade the data and calls/sms to the latest as long as you're paying the same/more without a need to breach the contract. A minute after that got the confirmation sms. All is well! ..

Now, I should've asked the same question for my other account, my kid using it for her iphone. smile.gif

I think that rm20 promo price is targeted to certain users. You only get the promo price if you've received the Sms. Anyway, usually the promo is through refund of xx credit and that xx credit is talk time and has a validity of only a few days. Hate these kind of promo

Called up DiGi ask about upgrading my current plan to the 7GB RM78 but is paying amount is original price RM98 because its under promo.
My contract penalty is RM200, if I pay RM200 and change to RM78 7GB is that worth to doing it?

The current plan RM78 under contract with 3GB, 100 min call and SMS right ? Do you make a call often ?? Will be extra charge after 100 min which is what I having contract now

For me, I will upgrade to RM78 7GB plan since this is unlimited call plus 7GB, and some more still having 19 months to go which is quite long run

My current plan is RM78 with 3GB, 200min call & 200sms, I'm not sure its fixed plan or promo plan for contract because I sign-up with Samsung Note 5 on 3/11/2015.
If you ask me do I call often? I only can answer is sometime will over the minutes that DiGi gave, but mostly I use data more than calls. Sometime hotspot for my laptop when the cafe's wifi got problem.

Is there any Digi staff or spies here? Did a (first) rm30 last night, until now no "bonus 1.5gb" message was given.

Update: it seems for New Best, the reloads+free data promo ended last Monday (11th)

DiGi.Com Bhd, the third largest telecommunications (telco) operator by subscriber base, said it will increase its effort on improving the services to its existing customers, after a social media uproar on controversial customers treatment by a local mobile network service provider.

"We cannot comment much on what happened, but what we are doing, and has been doing, is to improve our services to customers," DiGi's newly appointed chief marketing officer Loh Keh Jiat told reporters after the launch of a new mobile app called Digi Video Freedom.

Come to think of it, maybe they mean RM5 for 24 hours' worth of viewing over the course of seven days.

Quite smart of DiGi to play along the lines of 10GB total data, just give more of all-day data and less of extra weekend data to have a slight advantage over Celcom.

Some advantages Celcom still has over DiGi:
1) After exceeding quota, Celcom is throttled while DiGi totally cuts you off (based on their FAQ).
2) Celcom's quota topup is valid until next billing cycle while DiGi has a pretty short validity (usually 7 days).

I think another disadvantage for Digi is the voicemail charges. usually no one will bother to turn off voicemail, so this will be a disadvantage for the unlimited calls packages. If not mistaken celcom doesn't have this voicemail charges. someone correct me if i'm wrong.

Me & my colleagues are using Digi.
I'm using Samsung galaxy note 4 & she's using Iphone 6+.

why she can detect 3G & my phone only detect H+.

Both set to WCDMA/GSM.

If I change the setting to LTE/WCDMA/GSM. then can detect to 4G.

Any Sifu here can advice? I only want to use for 3G, because 4G will use up my data very fast.

Thank you.

I've changed a few times in-store.
Will try do it through phone and/or app this time.
If not, store is easiest. Just need IC.

Will likely be changing from 75V to the New 80 plan (7+3gb).

All your advance payment and mnp port over discount will be burnt if contract cancelled before expiration.

Currently on celcom, their 3G is solid but their 4G overall is pretty poor. In terms of 4G and 3G in Klang valley, how does digi compare to celcom? Might consider switching to digi rm80 plan.

Actually there is nothing you can do if you're under contract. You need to pay RM200 to get out of the contract (which I think is OK, if you keep running out of data with your 2GB/3GB plan)

i have to agree with you on this. Celcom's 4G signal most of the time only 2bars in most of the Klang Valley area. I have a digi prepaid and subcribe to data as well and I notice Digi 4G is much better than Celcom and most of the time in city would be 4G full bar and speed is pretty decent too.

But in terms of 4g, i came from Maxis previously, its among the best but too bad the plans are expensive.

You may consider in switching to digi 80plans. quite a great value too with unlimited calls. biggrin.gif

I ported from Maxis to Celcom last week but I am quite disappointed with the coverage as I can barely get 2 bars in my own home. Will switch to Digi 80 plan tomorrow.

Switched from Celcom 38 plan to Digi 78 Unl. plan. So far, data speed is better than Celcom. Celcom's line is getting congested. Surprisingly Digi 4G coverage is everywhere now. biggrin.gif

Based on the website's coverage map, their coverage for 4G seems better than Celcom's.

If u want to compare digi and maxis , digi is even worst than maxis . digi silently revised their idigi78 plan from 3gb 100mins to 4gb 200mins , but never informed their existing customer and never allowed them to get the revised plan .

Some more they silently discontinued the idigi78 plan , so that existing owner who never aware of this revised plan know .

This is the confusing part. The promo is supposed to end today, 17 Apr'16 (I recall seeing this date being stated on Digi's website last time but now it just states "limited time offer"). But if I use *200*2#, it will say that the promo is until 31 May'16.

So if this offer is still valid tomorrow or one week from today, that means the promo has been extended.

PS: 17 Apr'16 end date is stated on Soyacincau's website s well.

Just applied to port in to Digi.

Swift service from Gardens outlet, done in 20 mins on a Sunday.

Anyway, for the RM80 with 7+3GB plan.. Seems like only valid for 12 months (MNP discount RM10 x 12). They named the plan as Digi Postpaid 78V.

Not sure but this is based on the email they sent

The additional 3GB for RM2 add-on can only be done via call in. Cannot be done via website. I jst added this on mine. The CS say its not a promo n the 3GB@RM2 is for life. The add-on can be remove at any time. The plan is essentially on the system recognize as 78v + addon 3gb/rm2

After activated, the online usage in the website will show 3 different quota. 1 for weekend 3gb, 1 for the regular 7GB and 1 for the rollover. So in theory can get 12GB max a month. This about the equivalent of MaxisOne 158 plan.

Just Dailed in to Digi CS and changed to Post paid 80. Its still 78v but with RM2 3gb add on. 3GB for RM2 is a good deal. Worth it. So now Digi 78V plan is better than Celcom Gold.

I wonder if we are able to cancel the 3GB for RM2 option via web or we have to call?

Come to think about it, highly doubt i can fully utilize the 7GB quota anyway lol

Yup agree with you. Its a very very good deal.

I just MNP from Maxis end of last month for Digi 78V package with 7GB. As expected Digi updated their package just to counter Celcom Gold and Maxis data upgrade. I just restrain myself from getting tied up by contracts so that I can get the best out of this super competitive market.

U mean digi broadband off peak quota?

If u got a better choice, I don't think anyone would prefer the pricey mobile internet over an fixed line internet which is unlimited usage and can get it at a cheaper price?

Obviously this is relate to the coverage issue. Since fixed line internet service like unifi or time fiber is only available in certain location.

Quarterly report has morr technical details than annual report
Sommore simple n str forward for all data in q report too.
MDA and presentation version of report are exciting too.
Many graphs n informative tables available in these MDA n presentation slides.

Yup and 70gb is 2 to 8am. Hope digi will change their mind to make the 100gb for anytime quota  in future lol.

If u dun mind....
U can use postpaid 80...
U can have 7GB all day + 3 GB weekend
+ rm10 8GB if not enough...
Or rm100 80GB

At least it is RM180 = 87GB for all days quota + 3GB weekend instead of RM185 70GB1-7am type of split....

Of coz, im not sure whether we can buy multiple of rm10 8GB and the promotion will last how long...

Never sign any 2 years contract with any Telco. Once you signed, they basically don't care about you dy. Digi customer service very bad.

Example, you signed a 2 years contracts with RM800 saving on your phone. Say your original contracted plan is RM78 for 3GB data and 150min free call. Scenario 1, you have to pay RM120 every month due to insufficent data and free call minutes. Half year later, Digi or any other Telco come out with cheaper plan say, RM70 8GB with unlimited free call. So, basically you are paying RM50 extra for another 18 months which is equivalent to RM900. Scenario 2, you are light user, playing RM78, but another telco came out with RM28 plan with same data. So you are paying additional RM50 as well. That doesn't consider the telco's supp line only RM10 vs Digi supp line RM30. Scenario 3 , you found that you suddenly need additional data, due to streamyx or unifi always down, getting new gf, etc., but you are just stucked there because under contract, you can't upgrade nor downgrade.

Of course in some scenarios you may gain saving as well. Competition is stiff, especially more new players down the field. Phone plan will only become cheaper and cheaper.

So, think about it before you sign any contract. Before sign, very good, after sign, sorry la!

To be fair to the telco, they incurred upfront costs when they signed you to the plan with a discounted device. If they allow you to move to a cheaper plan, they may find it difficult if not impossible to recover that "investment"...
Moral of the story, don't sign to a contracted plan... Not when call plans are getting cheaper all the time...

Postpaid internet subscribers increased to 1.5 million, representing 80.3% of the company’s postpaid subscriber base and contributed to sequentially higher postpaid internet revenue of RM207 million (Q42015: RM197 million). Just received a text message from Digi:

QUOTE
Stay active and enjoy RM5 rebate/month in the next 12months! Just subscribe at http://digi.my/21RM5 by 30/4. More rewards to come!

Which leads me to this page:
Renewal Rebates RM5 | Digi - Let's Inspire

Basically Digi wants to tie you in for 1 year in exchange for RM60 off (less churn for them). Seeing that there is so much happening in the telco scene right now, I think I'll hold off until things settle down. Who knows what other goodies might be coming along in the next few months.

Hi everyone,

Just a quick question about the link below:
http://new.digi.com.my/services/easy-payment-plan

If I sign up for a device + plan, I only pay the upfront and the monthly installment with no other charges after that? For example, the Digi Postpaid 68 with a Note 5 means I pay only RM200 + a monthly installment of RM91. This covers both the phone and the call plan?

Why LOL?

I thought the rollover limit (2GB in the case of my SP78) would already prevent the unused data from rolling over more than one bill cycle.

Example:
(Smartplan 78v with 7GB quota with 2GB rollover limit)

* May/Jun: Used 6.3GB
* Jun/Jul: Rolled over 0.7GB from May/Jun + quota 7GB. Was overseas so didn't use data at all.
* Jul/Aug: Rolled over 2GB from Jun/Jul + quota 7GB. Used 3GB.
* Aug/Sep: Rolled over 2GB from Jul/Aug + quota 7GB.

etc. etc.

Frankly I don't why Digi includes that clause #10 in the TnC. It's IMPOSSIBLE for unused data to be rolled over from more than one bill cycle ago.

I think whoever wrote that TnC wasn't thinking straight and was overdoing the ass-covering bit. tongue.gif

Why LOL?

I thought the rollover limit (2GB in the case of my SP78) would already prevent the unused data from rolling over more than one bill cycle.

Example:
(Smartplan 78v with 7GB quota with 2GB rollover limit)

* May/Jun: Used 6.3GB
* Jun/Jul: Rolled over 0.7GB from May/Jun + quota 7GB.  Was overseas so didn't use data at all.
* Jul/Aug: Rolled over 2GB from Jun/Jul + quota 7GB. Used 3GB.
* Aug/Sep: Rolled over 2GB from Jul/Aug + quota 7GB.

etc. etc.

Some people might not have other better things to spend on wasting money on getting so much data but doesn't utilize it

since it is just for the 1st bill, why would they want to input the attractive rollover into the package.

I think you misunderstand what it's trying to say. Doesn't mean that the rollover is limited to one time only.

Digi officially ended the reload bonus for all versions of prepaid.

Why is the Reload campaign with free Internet and minutes removed?
Dear Sir/Madam, the special Reload campaign that offers Free Internet and On-Net Minutes will be discontinued effective this Friday, 22 April. It is to make way for other attractive promotions that will be announced very soon. Please stay connected with Digi to enjoy the upcoming promotions. Thank you."

freebies and promotion can also make consumers spend more.

ported to digi this month only to find out they stopped promotions soon after.
was preparing to spend but too bad... i'm keeping the sim as backup for now, only topping minimum amount every 75-80 days.

Hey guys. Have been using a loyal BLUE since 2009. Planning to switch to YELLOW Postpaid 80. Some question:

1. Is the plan tied to any contract? I'm afraid if coverage is not good as what they've been telling people, I can't jump ship again.
2. Any Digi users here from Miri and Seremban? How's the coverage there (esp 4G)?

If you don't bundle the plan with phone purchase, I believe you're not tied to any contract. Which part of Miri do you want to know? Most of the city area is covered by 4G

Just the contract. So far no plan to subscribe with new phone. Glad to know that I won't be tied in.

Tested the coverage at my office (Lutong) using friend's phone and it was superb. Just curious how it'll perform on other areas, eg Pujut and the city centre.

15GB is their limitFUP for music freedom, to prevent abuse. Not sure what happens after that quota ends. confused.gif

Good luck to you all with Digi. I tried to port out but they keep rejecting without giving a valid reason. Always ask me resubmit. They are just playing us like a fool!

They gain in number of subscriber and started behave like their big taiko.

1. They are no different from Maxis. Once You signed with them, they just fool on you.
2. They commit something in email but can't fulfill.
3. They are consistently inconsistent in their statements. When asked reason why cannot port out, they always ask us resubmit. Sometime ask us resubmit immediately, later said 24 hours. Then change again.
4. They didn't fullfil their commitment. The helpline said they will call back but never do.

Hi,

I got a problem here, not sure it has been asked before or not.
I am on prepaid and travelled overseas recently and I was charged something as below:
"international roaming dataservice 0.00 MB RM 0.50"

I got at least 100 of this charges during my oversea trip, and all is the same charges, 0.00MB, RM0.50 per charges.

My phone data roaming settings is off and I was connected to Wifi all the time.

I called digi, front-end customer service insist that I have use the data but when I told them I was using Wifi all the time and phone data roaming was off, they told that this will be escalated to technical team for further review.

Anyone has similar experience?

The reason I found out this is because my prepaid balance is dropping dramatically daily while in overseas where I don't make/received calls/sms.

Thanks.

There are many similar cases like this on other service provider as well. All of these had something in common. LTE is turned on, you wouldn't be charge if you connect to 3G or 2G network.

I have the same issue. I have write to digi, even went to their center to make complaint but they have not get back to me until now. I got data roaming charge, is less then 10kb each time, there will be many in a day. My last month bill, it cost me almost RM20 for all this data roaming charge when my data roaming is not turn on. I will give them until next week and still no one get back to me, I will make CFM and MCMC complaint.

15GB is their limitFUP for music freedom, to prevent abuse. Not sure what happens after that quota ends. confused.gif

You can top up even before the quota ends, multiple times etc... I work from home and listen to Spotify premium everyday so I use up the quota before its time.

Hey guys,

I am currently a subscriber to Digi Broadband 105. The 25GB one not the new 30GB. My package does not separate offpeak and anytime quota so that's fine. I think Digi said they reserve the right to change this anytime.

Anyway my question is, does Digi Broadband 185 actually impose the Anytime and offpeak quota for that package for the time being or the 100GB quota is for anytime like my Broadband 105?

Any Broadband 185 can confirm this? Thanks.

Just did a few speedtest and I have a feeling that Digi is upgrading the network here to LTE-A. A few spots are able to achieve 60mbps near a major shopping mall. This is with regular lte as my phone doesn't support ltea. Location alor setar.

Nice to see that they are upgrading their capacity instead of coverage only. Maxis is congested here.
