Hello guys, can anyone explain to me the Digi IDD internet club? I know the following;
1. RM10 subscription fee, charge once only.
2. 1gb internet at 64kbps.
3. RM10 IDD calls.

What I would like to know more is,
1. is the 1gb internet only given once or every month?
2. Are there any difference if subscribing from another prepaid other than best prepaid plan?
3. what is the limitation of the internet apart from speed? will it be pay per use after exceed 1gb?
4. Kindly enlighten me about the other benefits of this IDD internet club. I am thinking whether or not to go for it, but I never make IDD calls.

Thank you.

1. Every month , use mydigi app to monitor usage
2. Nah
3. Basically it is super slow and after you have exceeded 1GB which I doubt it , basically you'll be disconnected from the Internet
4. It just gives some perks , of extra quota and sometimes good offers (like buying internet top-up)

Thanks. I think I'm gonna subscribe now. at least for WhatsAp when I'm outside.

IDD Internet Club quota can also be checked via *200*1# or browse to this page.

Thank you.
Forgot to mention that I just spoke to Digi CS and she said there is no pay per use charges after idd Internet Club is activated.

which prepaid plan you are using?
*
prepaid campus. surprising it never got changed, so i got 1 year validity every reload. That's why I don't want to change to best prepaid V2 although the extra 500mb internet. I save money subscribing to SLL.

And celcom has unlimited sms (though i didn't use any sms at all with digi) laugh.gif

I think another disadvantage for Digi is the voicemail charges. usually no one will bother to turn off voicemail, so this will be a disadvantage for the unlimited calls packages. If not mistaken celcom doesn't have this voicemail charges. someone correct me if i'm wrong.

That means you are too lazy to count 30 seconds before entering voicemail when nobody is picking up
*
no. the 30 seconds can count. but if the person turn off the phone or out of coverage, can you count? straight away into voicemail.

QUOTE(blurblursam @ Apr 15 2016, 03:37 PM)
Can we turn off the voice mail service?
*
yes. just call up the helpline and tell them to do it. most people never care.

Easier said than done, just recently paid celcom the remains of their postpaid one...3 months after port out of it. Geram betul.

port to prepaid lah, I did that to one of my number last time to get out of digi easy prepaid. porta while to any telco, then port back. nothing to pay after, and nothing to lose if you finish up the balance before porting.

Celcom can certainly catch up, but not anytime soon yet as laying down fibre backhaul requires time. Maxis and Digi is way ahead of them and I don't think they can reach where Maxis and Digi is now in this year. Although so, I am interested to see how well will Celcom's network grow.
*
If we look at spectrum allocation by MCMC, celcom is allocated with more compare to Digi. how is this going to affect Digi in future?

I stay in Sibu town area, Sarawak. LTE 4G mode. With only 3 bars out of 4 bars signal. I guess is mostly MNP issue which the process is not being done properly.
*
I think you never get full bar LTE unless in some places outdoor. I am also in Kuching, with my phone getting 3 out of 5 bars LTE constantly, but internet speed is consistent and no drop calls issue. sometimes I can get 4 out of 5 bars LTE, but not full 5 bars unless at some places.
However, I believe LTE still works great regardless or not you get full signal.

On my secondary line, I noticed certain areas have this kind of issue where it switches back and forth.
*
Sometime, you just have to make a report to them. they might not be aware of their telco tower problem in certain area. I have this kind of problem with my Maxis broadband last month, whereby the signal keep cycling between edge, 3g and 4g. Made a complain to them and they get back saying that they notice there was an alarm at their tower and will go and check. So, problem solve in 2 days.

If she do not require long validity, go for Smart prepaid. 2gb 4G internet every weekend and free basic internet on week days.

For me, i didn't even utilize the "free" data, just turned it on to test 4G signal, total data usage reported by phone is 230Kb, only weather app using data constantly.
Data charges continued until 11pm+ eventhough i turned off mobile data around 4pm yesterday, so total got charged at max cap RM 8.  bangwall.gif

2 options:
1. Call CS and complain, ask them to turn off pay per use and totally disable your internet. The downside is next time you need to use data you have to call them to activate again.
2. Activate Digi IIC by dialing *138*1#. That way you have free 1gb basic internet, and even you turn on mobile data also no charge.

QUOTE(WongPhan @ Jun 11 2016, 01:14 PM)
Happened to me a long time ago before using smartphone.  Accessed internet on my N-Gage then for all I know my credit got deducted because I was careless for not realising the time that I should stop surfing.  There was no warning.  If you keep on surfing after the allotted period, DiGi will start charging you.
*
Unless your line has basic free internet, all telco is the same. once you go over their limit or use internet without any subscription, charges apply.

MNP from redone (postpaid) to digi (Prepaid), contract fulfilled but deposit with them.
1) MNP redone (postpaid) to digi (Prepaid) possible?
yes.
2) procedure?
Make sure you have no outstanding, then go to DiGi centre and request to MNP. .
3) How many days?
depends on how fast redone can release your number. if fast within half day done. otherwise can take 2 or 3 days or even more.
3) how to get deposited back from redone?
This one sorry I cannot answer. Maybe you will have to pay them a visit to ask for refund.

No need to tell them anything. just go settle all your outstanding with redone, then go to digi centre to request MNP.
