Hey guys. just to give/destroy motivation for people who want to kurus.

I lost around 50kg+ from 125 odd kg to 70-75kg


Goodies:
You will be stronger: When i starting cycling, on a hill, my gear is 1+1. on a flat road, my gear is 1+4. Eventually, after losing weight, on the same hill i can gear up to 3+2/3, while on a straight road, i will always use 3+6 (max gear)

Your banana will be longer: When i started last year, my banana was around 2.2 inch. once i ended, its around 5.0-5.5 inch. and there is potential for it to go even longer

You sweat less: when i started cycling, a one minute cycle in 8am in the morning and you will sweat. Now i can walk from Tabung haji to klcc to lowyat in the afternoon without breaking a sweat. i can cycle 15 minutes straight without breaking a sweat.

You smell better: my colleagues said this. nuff said

Better promotion/job oppurtunities: Yes. being lean and handsome WILL lead you to better job oppurtunities. be handsome. and bring your best clothes to that job interview.

Ego boost: Everyone will praise you because you lost much weight. people will envy you. they want you to be their role model. they want your secrets... but...



However:

no one will confess you. You WONT get girls The reality is. to start a relationship, you need money, to be romantic, and to be handsome. sure. you might be handsome-er. but you have history. you have scars. and most importantly, you have no TIME to be romantic. you cant eat ice freaking cream. you cant go out yam cha. you cant drink. you wanna lose more weight. you wanna go lifting. you have no life. you are a freak for losing weight. fat guys will never get the girls so live with it.

Your bones will poke out your butt Yes. this is annoying. being fat is awesome, cuz ur butt is gebu. sleeping on ur tummy, and sitting down, is always soft and selesa. but being thinner, bones start poking out your butt. its VERY unconfortable. Also, sleeping on your tummy is also not confortable. cuz ur ribs are poking out.

Your stamina will NOT increase, SPECIALLY RUNNING i will still pancit very quickly when running. i still cant run through a 5km mini marathon

You WONT run twice faster too. Despite acceleration = force/mass, if your mass halves, you wont accelerate twice faster. for some reason, my 100m run only improved by half sec tops.


Your habits wont change I still love gaming. i love eating. and i love snacking. i love anime. and playing with my banana. These habits simply wont go away. It will be part of you. its just that you learn to offset it with exercise. The extra habit is: you will weigh yourself everyday. cuz u have been fat before.
yes. if you snore, you will STILL snore.



however all been said one thing for sure.

You WILL be happier. this might be enough reason to go slimming down. so why not? im definitely happier. haha.

Been there. TS you can score chicks, there's always girls that impressed with transformation story. Just sell your stories over few drinks with them, slowly make your way. Those about to get married will look for you :ehem:

1.IMO, getting girls is about your self confidence. You cant blame it on other things. Yes, you might have scars in the past, but with the shed weight, you will have an ego boost as mentioned by you. I drink every week, beer + liquor and not in small amounts. I still have my dosage of pizzas, ice cream, pasta what so ever. The key is control. Work harder the next day at the gym. Bust your ass out each time you go.
2. My stamina definitely did increase. I can last for a good 1 hour + futsal game with no subs what so ever. Mind you not slow paced game, but constant sprinting (maybe due to my interval trainings)
3. Doubt acceleration time has anything to do with mass. if not there would be many many many usain bolts out there


Agree with you on the rest. How im so sure of this? I my self lost 45 kilos in the past 2 years.

problem is not self confidence. losing weight is a HUGE ego boost!!


because i cannot afford to be "normal" because of both time and lifestyle. because to lose weight is an addiction. you WILL feel queazy if you eat too much or exercise too less. you will think A LOT before you eat/splurge.

i cant afford to be normal. i cant go eat yucky foods. i cant afford to spend time out cuz i wanna go cycling. i cant drink. lunch out? no way hozey. oily donuts and trendy sugary drinks? eww no thanks.

secondly also, there are very obvious scars related to losing weight. thats why to me, it is not a good idea to lead on a fat person to think that losing weight will gain him girls. its just not gonna work.

To get a girl, is to make insane changes to yourself that might not be in-line with a lifestyle of someone who have lost/losing their weight. it is very difficult.

there's a fat kid i know that gets rejected 99 all the time. even one girl told him he was too fat for her. but dunno how out of a sudden he slims down until lean in months and then now plenty of girls are after him

height 180. weight 120-130. when i started i was 29-30.

currently in my thirties. height 180. weight 70-75.

i think /k/ is more interested to know how to get 2" to 5 " . /k/ now is 5" and if follow your example, after success /k/ will get 8-9 "

2.2 inches? u sure you measured it right? or when it was erected?

I'm in the process of losing weight as well. Something almost exactly where you started.

Apart from everything else, I don't think fat people smell - its only the perception of it.

I use deodorant everytime after bath and I've never had any complains (maybe behind my back i dunno lol) - some slim people also smell bad - its about hygiene.

Maybe I can share my success story. Last Friday is the end of the 10th week of my loose weight regime. This week is the 11th week. I start from 90kg. Last Sunday the weigher reads 72kg. I am 166cm.

What I did was exercise and eat clean.

Exercise

I run every morning. 6 days a week. 1 day rest. 3 km minimum. Started slow with low intensity. Once I am used to the pace I start with the high intensity interval run, where I run for 20 seconds, sprint your a*s out for 10 seconds. Of course remember to do warm up, cool down and stretching. Get yourself a pair of good running shoes. Worth the investment.

Eat clean

I was basically a live to eat person. With this regime, I have no eating life. I cant really eat what I want whenever I want. I have not touched junk food, sodas, fast food, deep fried food, simple carbs in this period of time. The below is what I eat.

Breakfast - 1 big bowl of oat, 2 oranges, 1 apple, 2 whole eggs
Lunch - Plain steam vege with no sauce no oil, 1 whole fruit
Dinner - Plain steam 1/4 fish with no sauce no oil, 1 portion of vege

After running, I do take a cup of 100 Plus. You may substitute with the hydration salt.

When I eat out, I try to stick to whatever it is stated up there. If it is oily, I wash it off. Must eat. There is no point starving. In fact, you must eat every time you are hungry. This is because our body is design to adapt. If you do not eat, brain tells the body that you are in starvation mode, you have no food, there must be some war or something out there. So body slows down the metabolisme for you to survive. Metabolisme slowed down, how to constantly burn fat? You just need to eat clean. There is alot of 'healthy' food out there but they are poison in disguise. So beware

I'm in the process of losing weight as well. Something almost exactly where you started.

Apart from everything else, I don't think fat people smell - its only the perception of it.

I use deodorant everytime after bath and I've never had any complains (maybe behind my back i dunno lol) - some slim people also smell bad - its about hygiene.

I dont know why, ive reduce my food intake, avoid high calory food, and eat timely.
Now i only drink plain water, (avoid especially coke), Rice intake smaller than my fist, more fiber intake, controlled protein portion.

Been doing that but my weight isn't going down.
Every morning i wake up to burpees and sit up. Play badminton Twice a week. Jog once a week.

Problem here is, my weight remains the same! and i dont look thinner... huhuhuhu, what is wrong with this body?!

1 cup of raw rice is like 800 calories
and you know how little rice comes from 1 cup of raw rice. its not much!

while pasta, when you cook with cabbage/ bloat it with potatoes/tomatoes, you get insane volume but not much calories

to further my point, 100-125g of pasta, when cooked with vege and sauce, can fill up 4 pinggans if you dont take seconds.

100g of rice? lol.

sebijik potato russet besar also only 260 calories. if you mix and match for example, potato salad with mayo, or potato filling, or potato wedges with heavy vege sauce, you get LOTS of volume, despite its low calories. it is also very kenyang (depending on the way you mix and match your ingredients)

i know. its not manly. i like to DDR at my workplace punya gym. the girls say that men should play with torture machines.

and cycling/swimming/DDR increases your calfs and your strength. but it doesnt increase your running stamina. tak percaya, eat up to 130km, then try running. lol!

running slow pace and around 30 minutes 3-4 times a week already enough to help you loss weight.

you don't have to become a marathon runner to lose weight, just simple run will do. when you gradually getting lighter, then only you increase the distance.

if I were you, I'll just stick with sitting on the couch eating junk food and play video games.

You need to eat more protein and built more muscle so that flat butt jadi nice butt like mine.

Train more. When I was obese, can't even run, now I can run 21KM no problem and I've 54KM 12 hour walkathon.

I run faster as I shed more weight and train harder.
I spend more time outside than in front of the computer, my temper improved greatly since I won't easily annoyed by anything compare when I was fatass.
I don't eat junk food.

Buy cheap and heavy mountain bike. Since you are heavy. Go kerama mall got bicycle ship ter.it is around four hundred. Do not buy expensive bikes. Heavier bikes can take your weight better.

I want people to know, that there is a big difference between someone who stayed fat for extended period like me, and lose 50kg, to a person who purposely eat lots of calories to eat muscles

no matter what, gym trainers will never understand real fat people. Thats why some people cannot accept some of the points i have dished out.

Because in reality, the addiction to lose weight, the habits, and the loss of social life is hand in hand with the obsession to lose weight like crazy. and dont be surprised or be caught off guard. because these symptoms happen at an almost 100% rate to people i know that lost that much weight after being fat.

Now if you eat purposely to bulk up, then yes. maybe you will retain your "life and social awareness". maybe. i dont know. because i never done this before, hence i cannot say with experience.

compound is the way. Don't waste time doing isolation or targeted lifts.

lol, not sure what you meant. It's already proven that lifting weights can help you lose weights (that said, you need to check your diet as well).

Yes compound exercises like the big 3. Isolation exercises do help as well especially when it complements the big threes. So, don't forget to do those.

and go heavy on the big 3. Like really....heavy. Try look at the health and fitness section, they go heavy and there's a reason why.

Muscles burn fat alot faster. Hence weights = faster fat loos which is what u want. you dont want to be burning muscles.

Squats, deadlifts, clean and presses, romanian get ups...

From my experience, there are many ways to lose weight.

lifting, or simply hardcore cardio, all works.

It depends on your focus. I love dancing, and i can dance and dance for 2-3 hours at end, and have fun doing it. so i dont mind cardio.

But i do know some people are masochists. they love torture machines. hence, lifting is good. but be careful, and use a trainer. dont break your back. got one person he lift lift sampai slipdisk wtf. his life is now ruined. his copulation life also only left one style (and its not doggy style)

Your bones will poke out your butt  Yes. this is annoying. being fat is awesome, cuz ur butt is gebu. sleeping on ur tummy, and sitting down, is always soft and selesa. but being thinner, bones start poking out your butt. its VERY unconfortable. Also, sleeping on your tummy is also not confortable. cuz ur ribs are poking out.

Your stamina will NOT increase, SPECIALLY RUNNING i will still pancit very quickly when running. i still cant run through a 5km mini marathon

You WONT run twice faster too.  Despite acceleration = force/mass, if your mass halves, you wont accelerate twice faster. for some reason, my 100m run only improved by half sec tops.

Been hitting the gym July last year, doing the big 3 plus other isolation lift.

Only noticeable is most of my shirts feel loose and some of L size feels fit. Walking across town during lunch time, less sweat and don't feel like dying at all.

However my weight remain the same, which is 102 kg (height 175cm) :/

losing 5kg is hardly an enough sign of losing weight parmanently.

my week on week weight can fluctuate more than 4kg, because of berak, water, sweat, even if i take the weight same day everyday.


you will only know you "lost" your weight, when your pant size shrinks and your banana grows longer. then you have effectively lost weight.

all of this i measure on a weekly basis to make sure of progress. and dont worry about being a fanatic. its pretty normal. most people who successfully lose weight parmanently, becomes fanatical about it. its a lifestyle afterall.

Yep, previously I always sweat ALOT even in an aircond-ed room and sometimes I blame the humidity and the weather which I thought causing me to sweat a lot. Now after I manage to reduce weight, I sweat less and already cold like hell when I'm in the office.

Cannot agree with you on that. Like I said above. I gain confident to talk to people after weight loss. Yes, that includes flirting with girls. Previously I always thought girls don't like talki to me because of my body size. And Some of them will not talk to me face 2 face in fact they try to avoid me. Now I can talk to them freely and manage to go outwith how many gils haa?Hmm about hmmm let say. 1, 2,3...4, arghh I couldnt count!!

Says who. I can run and sprinting less than 330ins in 5km non stop just fine. It maybe due to your cycling exercise coz cycling wouldnt elevated your heartbeat much. Try do alot of run sprint run sprint. Bagi jantung tu exercise sikit.

I dunno but maybe its due to food. I.e I always sprinting and fast run just fine but I only sometimes couldnt do that after eating kenduri food which is very oily and spice. Makanan melayu memang buat orang melayu sendiri rasa malas deswai I try to avoid oily and spicy food

Yes, When your weight is reduced a lot, you will be happier and merrier. About snoring, I dunno about you but already stop snoring after my body become smaller. As for eating habit,I control my eating and my life style. As my hobby habit. Previously I love watching anime while eating burger and fast food snacks but now I eat cereal/jacob biscuit/oat while enjoying watching my favourite anime. Previously I also stayed up late on the weekend marathoning anime but now I wake up early in the weekend and watch anime/ playing game whille enjoying the sunrise shine through my window and sipping a cup of hot sugarless/milkless horlic. Damn nice!

Well. Previously I'm 84kg but now 50kg. My height is 167cm. People said that I look like k-pop artist already haha.

oh ya! i dont know if this is normal or not, but from my experience,

if you were fat, and you lose lots of weight, you will still not be confortable peeing at the wall toilet , nor berak with without opening your pants (these are skills mastered by ppl who are thin, using wall toilet, and berak without fully open your pants)

for example, the FAT% formula becomes lower when weight increase OR waist decrease.

when i started, my pants size was 4XL or 55 inch

now i can wear 33 inch. 32 inch is abit ketat at the paha (cuz bicycling ur paha abit big)


so just do whatever exercise you want. both fat and weight will fall naturally.

Btw, my motivation is money and stamina.

that's a fallacy.

Tasik titiwangsa mostly consists of grandparents (very old men and women practicing tai chi or qigong) and families with little kids.

Your bones will poke out your butt  Yes. this is annoying. being fat is awesome, cuz ur butt is gebu. sleeping on ur tummy, and sitting down, is always soft and selesa. but being thinner, bones start poking out your butt. its VERY unconfortable. Also, sleeping on your tummy is also not confortable. cuz ur ribs are poking out.

Your stamina will NOT increase, SPECIALLY RUNNING i will still pancit very quickly when running. i still cant run through a 5km mini marathon

You WONT run twice faster too.  Despite acceleration = force/mass, if your mass halves, you wont accelerate twice faster. for some reason, my 100m run only improved by half sec tops.
Your habits wont change I still love gaming. i love eating. and i love snacking. i love anime. and playing with my banana. These habits simply wont go away. When i started, there was no way i knew that my whinney can go longer than 5 inch. because the only way to check, is to go look at interesting pictures, grab a measuring tape, and measure the length. in no way i can i feel down a 5 inch

the point of this thead, is to explain, that people who ventures on a diet, shoudnt fret. although you cant feel out your 5 inch, if you lose lots of weight, your johnny will become longer.

its really as simple as that. i dont really understand why the method, or the explanation, or the science behind how a johnny can become longer came to exist. but the stark reality is, 2 inch becum 5 inch. hence, its a positive for people losing weight

I was a fat a@ss when im Form 5. Then I reduce my food (sbnrnya tak lalu makan sbb tgh angau), suddenly I become thinner. After that, no matter how hard I exercise or "diet", my threshold will be at 75kg (Im 173cm).

The keyword is not exercise, the keyword is what you eat. Exercise will help the process to be faster, help reorganize fat to muscle ratio but if you want to gain/lose weight, eat properly.

You can go hardcore, eat lean food. Or go normal, ditch the coke and teh tarik, oily and fatty food. I eat rice but sometime I skip. Im not thin, perut boroi but the number sticks at 78~85kg depend on how I eat that week.

Just dont blame urself if u r fat. Sometime it is genetic. Like me, even with weightlifting, I can only go to 72kg. So, just eat properly, exercise a bit, you should be at 80~90kg which is normal for man. Shorter dude should aim 70~80kg. When I say normal, you will not have rip abs, but just enough to maintain your health.

P/S: Girls dun giv a f if u r skinny. U fat gt money also can maa.

I was a fat a@ss when im Form 5. Then I reduce my food (sbnrnya tak lalu makan sbb tgh angau), suddenly I become thinner. After that, no matter how hard I exercise or "diet", my threshold will be at 75kg (Im 173cm).

The keyword is not exercise, the keyword is what you eat. Exercise will help the process to be faster, help reorganize fat to muscle ratio but if you want to gain/lose weight, eat properly.

You can go hardcore, eat lean food. Or go normal, ditch the coke and teh tarik, oily and fatty food. I eat rice but sometime I skip. Im not thin, perut boroi but the number sticks at 78~85kg depend on how I eat that week.

Just dont blame urself if u r fat. Sometime it is genetic. Like me, even with weightlifting, I can only go to 72kg. So, just eat properly, exercise a bit, you should be at 80~90kg which is normal for man. Shorter dude should aim 70~80kg. When I say normal, you will not have rip abs, but just enough to maintain your health.

P/S: Girls dun giv a f if u r skinny. U fat gt money also can maa.

bicycle i always recommend pasar keramat. RM250-350 for mountain bike, and RM450-500 for light foldable bike.

Certain of them have enough muscle to burn that much of intake.

One of USA UNI lecturer do a test with his student before which he eat MCD/fast food for 90 day but he maintain healthy life style by exercise daily.
after 90 day he drop weight instead of gaining.

The one who slim by diet or medicine should worry to fat back due to food because certain of them losing muscle during slimming.

Yeah. i do track each improvements of my waist, weiner, weight, size, thigh, and wrists.

I would estimate for every 7.5kg you lose, you gain half an inch of weiner. but its a reverse J curve, in a sense, that you gain the most weiner lenght in the middle of the weight loss, and less at start/end of the regime.

Anyway I noticed this piece of excessive fat at my abdominal area so hard to lose. However now I can wear trousers from size 40 to 33-34, from last September..but this flabby fat wont lose. SHould I just focused on my weight training or focus on cardio?

If you lost the weight thru crush diet, fasting, etc.. it may not be lasting and healthy in long run. You will looks slimmer but may not be stronger and healthier.

It is better to achieve it via healthy lifestyles change, thru regular exercise (cardio / interval training / weight exercise) and balance diet. You gain stamina and strength that helps to improve your lifestyles beside looks better than a skinning bum.

Scars are mainly lose skins that could be improved by applying cocoa butter cream avail at most Watson / Guardian. Weight training to build some muscles is helpful to tone up.

I was 75kg now 64kg...

What I did?
1. I pay attention to what I eat for breakfast, lunch and dinner. No junk food.
2. I swim, cycle then run 3 times a week.
3. And constantly workout every alternate days in a week.

The fastest way to gain weight healthy is to go for weight training and consume at least 20% ~ 30% surplus your daily maintenance calories.

I lost around the same amount of fat. I eat junk food, I don't cardio at all. I lifts 5 times a week. Now that I'm done cutting, I'm eating more junk food that I used to crave and I'm still maintaining my weight.

You can eat them as long as you know what you're eating. I don't really have good metabolism. The key to fat loss is to eat less than you need per day regardless of what you eat. Though I do maintain balanced macros while some of the carbs, I fill them up with food that I enjoy.

TLDR: Eat less calories than you need per day = fat loss.
