Most likely MG will make a 1/100 scale of the F91, as that scale has been the staple size for Gundam models by Master Grade, so it might be small. Of course, if they're going to make it, but I don't see why not.

MG's venture into the 1/100 scale of 15m-tall MS designs can be forseen, due to the advancement in plastic materials and CAD solutions, so smaller, finer pieces are possible to manufacture these days.

Hopefully MG will consider next making 1/100 scale models of famous Gundams such as Gundam Double X, Gundam F90 and V2 Gundam. MG has considered making these before , amongst other GunPla models; sometime before year 2000. Hobby Japan subscribers would know of this plan.

BTW, I am waitting for the MG version of Strike Freedom (not that stupid light bulb version )

of course BANDAI will be able to produce a smaller MG, but what I'd really like is a slightly larger F91... that way we'd be able to appreciate the details more... coz normally MGs will be slightly larger/taller/sleeker than the 1/100 counterpart, eg 1/100 freedom and MG Freedom....

MG V2 will be superb..... extremely superb....... loads of parts, loads of guns...... woot!! but i know there'll be a lot of fans waiting for MG justice (since it's such a good design)

MG SF? no...... no........ pls come out with MG destiny first........ it's time shinn's models got some respect Impulse, destiny !! nah...... most probably SF will come out first considering it's popularity, but i feel that MG SF will look just like the old MG freedom (which is superb) without any new changes.... just the look i suppose...

but for god's sake change the horrible 1/100 SF head.... hate that pear face.

get the Core-Works MG SF conversion set its expensive, but to be expected from a resin kit with quality im trying to save up to buy one...assuming by that time they still have it

Good question, since Evangelion models don't come with scale measurements.

Just did an on-the-spot measurement of the EVA-01 model with a ruler, and I got approximately 19.5cm from its base to the top of its head.


Going off-topic a bit:
Doesn't Dunbine look like mecha? Then how about Escaflowne? Heck even the EVAs don't look like traditional mecha, but these are the ones that helped expand the wonderous concept of mecha

Yeah, I concur that the mecha of Dunbine is hard to get used to at first; but after all, when its design first came out in 1983, the concept was entirely original: the first anime to incorporate organic mechas in a medieval setting.

I did once make a stand out of a black-painted, well-bent metal coat hanger for my EVA-01, cause I'm able to replicate the umbilical cord (power supply cable) of the EVA, hooked it onto its back and made it look like it jumped up, suspended in mid-air.

Don't know where that stand is now, must've gone missing in transition to my current residence; that's why I hate moving house, got a lot of my stuff to move...

Get an MG Freedom. Not 1/100 Destiny just yet. Not really worth it. Try waiting and pray that Bandai's gonna relases an MG version of it soon.

I cut it off from the bunch using normal scissors and cut off the leftover plastics( OMFG the gurus here gonna LOL hard at me) using a nailclipper. Then I smoothen it again using the 1 used to smoothen fingernails(forgot wat it is called)

last time i also use nailclippers to cut the parts from the tree. now the nailclipper blunt already so i bought a proper cutter from a local hardware shop. rm10 only

If you don't mind spending loads of money on a silly pair of "modelling cutter" that supposedly cleanly cuts off the parts from their trees, you could opt for the cheapo method I use, involving water, fingernails and pen-knives. Cutting off excess plastic tree the cheap way

Dude, trust us on that...when u get a Master Grade, u just keep wanting to get just them. Normal grade ar...aww man...how to explain it to you...plain down to earth la...the name already state liao lor. Master grade has better quality in terms of fitting and better details, normal grade ...? Do i have to explain on that ?

No point buying a kit tat will give u a hard time later...i'm sure u do not want ur kit to look like jello right ? Price is a difference...yar...higher too but good things dun come cheap...and cheap things dun come good. Well a normal grade may cost about RM90-110 and an MG will be ranging about 180-225 like that but its worth every penny u put in it.


And er shumaky...its side cutters...u need different sizes to fit different size openings. And uneed a very very sharp knife to cut off the excess sprues...u can find them from art shops. A bit pricey la. And if u r even more serious, u can get some polyester putty from tamiya to fill up any accidental hole u cut off when u use ur knife or cutters...after that sand it down with sandpapers...NOTE : SPECIAL SAND PAPERS AND NOT THE ONES FROM HARDWARE SHOP... tat one too rough...u may buy a 1/100 Mg kit but after u sand u may end up with a 1/144 HGUC kit

It exactly as Balthasar said. Maybe coz my 1st model was an MG so i found that HG/NG just not worth it.

But the choice selection isn't that many for MG kits compared to HG stuffs.

And besides, recent HGUC kits are getting better, what with specially made hands for better poses (no more stupid looking clenched fist with a square hole in the middle) and better details and posabilities.

my humble Red Frame

nail clippers... then use sandpaper or file... i prefer sand paper since it's flexible (paper mah)... but most of the time if u trim the sprues off nicely you wont really nice sandpaper. besides, sanding cannot be applied on dark surfaces, unless you want weathered effect ....... but if you're painting it, by all means go ahead and sand. Just odo do it overboard until you wreck the surface...

I have no confidence in BANDAI releasing a MG destiny soon...

I have an 1/100 Destiny and i must say it's considerably well made... compared this to the horrendous SF and you'll get what i mean.

Of course, unless you're really desperate to get Destiny, otherwise it's ok to wait for the MG.... most probably another year...

andyxp: i'm planning to get a blue frame too..... but still a bit reluctant coz my wallet's a bit tight at the moment... but that is a good model with a wide range of articulations and most importantly it has hell lots of parts... makes modelling more enjoyable.

btw, nice red fframe....... panel lines perhaps

im not desperate in getting a destiny.... but i like the colors and the concept of the sword and gun behind the unit....

i wanna draw it.. but my lines are a bit think ler always.... im using gundam marker GM01.... but cant draw thin lines... how?

But MG is 1/100 scale...lets you see even more details...and easier to work with when painting...

thick lines aint a problem if u clean it before it dries up..... u could draw the lines first (they'll look thick initially), then using an eraser, gently rub over the lines, so that the top layer is rubbed off, while a thin line remains in the line pit/seam... alternatively, use ur finger (make ur skin a bit oily, not wet first)to rub the lines... but careful as it may smear...

sometimes magazines recommend spirits, but u dont know whether ur spirit is too strong or not, coz it may mess up the colored parts.

stick the katana back with glue, and putty it... spray it shiny with metallic paint..... VOILA !!

meanwhile..... maybe i'd try this out

not sure...... but u could check out certain modelling forums and magazines... dengeki hobby is the best IMO... but get the taiwan version will do, ori jap version is useless as most of us can't read jap...

That's the MSK-008 Dijeh, Amuro Ray's mobile suit. The dark blue one is the RX-139 Hambrabi and the yellow one is the MSA-005 Methuss. These three are from the first editions of Bandai Zeta Gundam series, so no surprise that many aren't too familiar with that versions. Hope Bandai might consider making HGUC versions of Dijeh and Methuss, too (and other iconic MS of the Zeta series... )

Uh, they did? Is it in production? Cause AFAIK, the only Zeta Gundam HGUC models that has been released are The O, HiZack, Quebeley, Rick Dias, Gundam Mk-II, Psyco Gundam Mk-I, Zeta Gundam, Gaplant, Hyaku Shiki, Marasai, Asshimar, Gabthley and Palace Athene.

If it is coming soon, then swell. Methuss appeared not only in Zeta, but ZZ too. Same goes with Psyco Gundam Mk-II. Hope they'll make that 30cm monster... just like they did with the Mk-I. After all, the Mk-II is a lot meaner looking...

User is far too superior for buying the Huckebein mk-III. What kind of job you're having, btw to be able to spend so much dough on these? It's amazing to see how much one spends on silly plastic at one go.


Nobody knows. Stop asking. If there's news of Bandai having such plans, we'd plaster the news and scans from magazine all over the place. But then again, the chances of it happening is unlikely, as Bandai literally killed themselves by having such a crappy 1/100 lineup for SEED-D (I've heard that they've officially stopped the SEED-D 1/100 lineup), and because the show was made of crap and piss after the first 12 episodes.

I actually wanted to get a wild falken like you did, but out of stock so I got the Huckebein instead as an appetiser first. I didnt bought them all together at one shot. Some last year and earlier this year. Digi Cam borrowing is much more harder than I though - I'll only take the pictures after some massive collecting - that also if I manage to borrow one digi cam

just came back from Sg Wang.... went to Litt Tak and Stardust....

no new stocks... but i saw MG Freedom retailing at RM176 there....

There's those bunch of ball joint-less RX-78s back in the 70's~80's, then there's HG Gundam using the first ball joints, then there's the G-fortress thing, then there's a HGUC version remake of it, HGUC remake of the G-fortress, then there's also a ver1.0 MG Gundam, ver1.5 MG Gundam, Char Gundam (same thing except reddish colored), G-3 Gundam (same thing except grayish colored, magnetic coatings lol), MG RX-78-5 and 6, MG Gundam OYW version.

And most of the stuffs I listed down are recent kits, imagine how many moar RX-78 kits are there during the 90's >_>

eh.....last time I went to Kinokuniya to get it, chinese version will be cheaper, around 25~35bucks, can't remember the actual price, as for the japanese version, you have to get to the kinokuniya japanese department, which located inside the Isetan KLCC. Price? Unknown.
