HAY GUYS.

My first serious attempt at modelling. Sorry lah if it's not really that good. All I had to use was the black Gundam Marker I bought for RM9.90. sweat.gif

I wished I had a red colored marker as well, because I couldn't do up some of the details like the red vertical streak on the face and some of the weapon colors. sad.gif

Anyways, pictars:

for my 1/100 destiny, i added the red streaks beneath the eyes with left over red-stickers... tongue.gif but 1/144 might be too small to cut... worth a try though...
*
Damn that's a good idea!! I'm going to try that out tonight!

Yeah it's a little small, but worth a try. Thanks for the tip! thumbup.gif

Not rly. A pen knife with a new blade on it can cut it out nicely. I've did it with the leftover shiny stickers to cut out a small neon green rectangle shape for the sensors/gun sensor thing of the Advanced Hazel I'm building.
*
I tried with a cutting knife yesterday, but it's too hard! As it is, the 1/144 scale head is too small, so imagine the width of that streak. I think it's less than a milimeter. sweat.gif

I gave up after a few tries. It's too darned small! Even if i managed to cut it out, the transfer of the sticker to the face is another headache. >_>

conversion = convert a model kit into a different one
the SF conversion set is a set of parts made of resin for SF to be fitted on the MG Freedom Gundam frame...so u'll need to buy both an MG Freedom & SF conversion parts by CORE-WOrKS...but just to let u know that only little of the MG Freedom parts is used so u'll have A LOT of wasted parts...unless ur planning to use the parts on modding other kits later  smile.gif

edit: btw StormV, im probably gonna get Bandai's version if they ever release one as well...gonna collect both as im very sure they'll have a lot of difference between the 2 kits  biggrin.gif
*
Uh, I dont get it. Why not just get a MG SF kit then?

Fails.

I bought one for RM12 something, and it came with 20 blades, and a nice little container to keep the spare blades with a sealed compartment to keep the blunt ones.

narutokun83: why yes, newer MG boxarts are teh sex! I came, twice just at the mere sight of such godly artwork! D:

Those boxes are XL's new stock. Due in their shops tomorrow. >_>

ic thanks infested ysy and guyver... for the detailed explanation!!!  thumbup.gif
my bro not that small.. form 5 already,, sweat.gif

how about the price range ?
the normal 1/100 model should be less than RM100 right?
my budget.. erm.. less than 100 la.. since its the first time i buying.. and i not sure he will like it..
which model u guys recommend.. value and cun ?
i saw freedom gundam before.. i thought it is quite "the cool"
*
For sub RM100 prices, you'll probably be limited to only 1/144 HG kits I think. Most 1/100 MG kits cost more than RM100 if I'm not mistaken.

If your brother hasn't watched any of the Gundam series, then it wouldn't matter which kit you get, asal cantik cukup lah! laugh.gif

zomg! i ruined my force impulse by doin the panel lines with a pilot marker..
damn, malacca is so deprived of modelling equips, i cant even get a decent marker!

hey, im a real fan of athrun's gundams..but i havent seen an MG or PG for any of his gundams. i think im gonna get 1/100 HG Aegis thru young_soul. somehow justice didnt look so nice. weird..SF looks nice, but seems like they slacked on the justice.. sad.gif
*
I prefer the Justice though. The Aegis is too "pointy" for my liking. tongue.gif

Hey guys, I saw on DC's shop that if you buy a set of 1/100 Destiny Gundam and 1/100 Strike Freedom Gundam, you can get both for RM198. Is that worth it? How are these two kits? Are the proportions nice?

Oh, they also have Chaos Gundam and Force Impulse Gundam (both 1/100) going for RM168 if you buy both. How come so cheap ah? These kits are not nice or what? O_O

Because they don't sell, given how GSD was teh suck after the first 12 episodes.

Whatever you do, DO NOT WANT the 1/100 Strike Freedom. It's made of fat and short legs, crap proportions, and obviously rushed job to cash in on a model kit based on its short spanned popularity.

Chaos and Force Impulse are good (though it would be much moar superior if it's for Sword Impulse). Get them. Chaos has the best design I've seen in GSD, apart from Windams and the newly designed ZAKU(s).
*
LOL okay, and here I thought the Strike Freedom looked okay. XD

Yeah I was thinking of the Chaos and FI combo too. Hmm...well, if I decide to drop in tomorrow I'll get those. smile.gif

And yes, the Sword Impulse and the Windams are nice.

Argh 1/100 Destiny Ltd Edition (what is this? O_O) and 1/100 Zaku Warrior Blaze/Gunner combo for RM218.

Teh Zaku is made of WIN and OMGIWANT. >_<

Is it really THAT HARD to buy a model kit that you like the most?

The 1/144 SEED line are made of meh and mediocre. They're all the same, with the same kind of quality, never heard of any complaints about loose parts and whatnot.
The GSD 1/100 line was already ruined from the start, what with the uninteresting lineup (Bandai: WHOAMG WE HAVE 4 EXCITING ZAKU UNITS THAT ARE ESSENTIALLY THE SAME THING ONLY WITH DIFFERENT COLORED TREES!), and the lack of kits for superior designed units like the Windam and Blast Impulse.
*
Yeah exactly, I've always wondered why they never produced kits for the Blast Impulse and Windam. Those were some sweet designs there.

I also wished that they would produce the Astray with the Flight Pack. Imagine that in MG or PG. drool.gif

okay, i almost made up my mind already. but just one last question:
does the Blitz look nice after fixing it up? bcos im afraid that it might not turn out like the box shows...ive seen that happen on justice n strike freedom. so i hope the Blitz is okay...is it?
*
I've heard that the Blitz is a much sought after kit, although I'm not sure about the quality though. sweat.gif

haha, then i guess Blitz cant be wrong. Its black, its unique and has got cool weapons. The problem is the pilot's a faggot.

ah anyway, i think Blitz it is then.
*
Oops, I mistake Blitz for the Duel. Gomen...it's the Duel that's popular. I dunno about the Blitz. sweat.gif

Maybe you can try searching for pictures online and then decide for yourself?

The Strike Rouge + IWSP is indeed superior in its design, but the 1/144 looks like crap if you dont paint it.

And painting it seems like alot of work. >_<
