Guys wanna ask you all some thing.. Is there any special twezers that you all use to snip off the pieces off the plastic thingy..?
My scisors just not doing a good job la.. coz when after you cut, still got some residue off the joints off the pieces like not smooth nia..
Its my first atempt at model fixing smile.gif
Need all the sifu's do n donts.. tips n tricks.. smile.gif
Cheers

If you don't mind spending loads of money on a silly pair of "modelling cutter" that supposedly cleanly cuts off the parts from their trees, you could opt for the cheapo method I use, involving water, fingernails and pen-knives. Cutting off excess plastic tree the cheap way

It exactly as Balthasar said. Maybe coz my 1st model was an MG so i found that HG/NG just not worth it.
*
But the choice selection isn't that many for MG kits compared to HG stuffs.

And besides, recent HGUC kits are getting better, what with specially made hands for better poses (no more stupid looking clenched fist with a square hole in the middle) and better details and posabilities.

Hope Bandai might consider making HGUC versions of Dijeh and Methuss, too (and other iconic MS of the Zeta series... smile.gif )
*
They already did for Methuss.

Uh, they did? Is it in production? Cause AFAIK, the only Zeta Gundam HGUC models that has been released are The O, HiZack, Quebeley, Rick Dias, Gundam Mk-II, Psyco Gundam Mk-I, Zeta Gundam, Gaplant, Hyaku Shiki, Marasai, Asshimar, Gabthley and Palace Athene. huh.gif

If it is coming soon, then swell. Methuss appeared not only in Zeta, but ZZ too. Same goes with Psyco Gundam Mk-II. Hope they'll make that 30cm monster...  biggrin.gif just like they did with the Mk-I. After all, the Mk-II is a lot meaner looking...
*
Yep, Methuss' is now waiting for its official release (somewhere in March):

And a pearl colored HGUC Quebeley is coming out in March too, along with the Akatsuki Oowashi pack, and the MP Windam:

on an unrelated note, it seems that Hazel's going to be made into a MSiA....? o_O

C-C-C-C-C-COMBO BREAKER!

User is far too superior for buying the Huckebein mk-III. What kind of job you're having, btw to be able to spend so much dough on these? It's amazing to see how much one spends on silly plastic at one go.

wondering wil Bandai produce force impulse for MG

Nobody knows. Stop asking. If there's news of Bandai having such plans, we'd plaster the news and scans from magazine all over the place. But then again, the chances of it happening is unlikely, as Bandai literally killed themselves by having such a crappy 1/100 lineup for SEED-D (I've heard that they've officially stopped the SEED-D 1/100 lineup), and because the show was made of crap and piss after the first 12 episodes.

may i know the RX-78 series got how many model?
y i always saw same/similiar model,but different name geh?
*
A.Lot.

There's those bunch of ball joint-less RX-78s back in the 70's~80's, then there's HG Gundam using the first ball joints, then there's the G-fortress thing, then there's a HGUC version remake of it, HGUC remake of the G-fortress, then there's also a ver1.0 MG Gundam, ver1.5 MG Gundam, Char Gundam (same thing except reddish colored), G-3 Gundam (same thing except grayish colored, magnetic coatings lol), MG RX-78-5 and 6, MG Gundam OYW version.

And most of the stuffs I listed down are recent kits, imagine how many moar RX-78 kits are there during the 90's >_>

*
Malacca, RM7 for issues that doesn't have free stuffs, RM15 for issues that have free stuffs. Taiwan Chinese translated version. IIRC, there's also a HK Chinese translated version, going for a much higher price than the Taiwan version. And from what I've heard, the every issue of the original Japanese version is THICK as crap, because it's filled with loads of advertisements.

for my 1/100 destiny, i added the red streaks beneath the eyes with left over red-stickers... tongue.gif but 1/144 might be too small to cut... worth a try though...

QUOTE(jhcj @ Mar 10 2006, 01:22 AM)
Damn that's a good idea!! I'm going to try that out tonight!

Yeah it's a little small, but worth a try. Thanks for the tip! thumbup.gif
*
Not rly. A pen knife with a new blade on it can cut it out nicely. I've did it with the leftover shiny stickers to cut out a small neon green rectangle shape for the sensors/gun sensor thing of the Advanced Hazel I'm building.

I tried with a cutting knife yesterday, but it's too hard! As it is, the 1/144 scale head is too small, so imagine the width of that streak. I think it's less than a milimeter. sweat.gif

I gave up after a few tries. It's too darned small! Even if i managed to cut it out, the transfer of the sticker to the face is another headache. >_>
*
Same happened to the tiny head sensor for the Advanced Hazel. I just approximately cut out a tiny rectangle, then stuffed it in using a blunt, thin edge of my used pen knife blade. The tiny excess sticker is cut using the sharp sharp tip of the new pen knife blade. The end result was rather superior.

Too darned small? I'm even moar amazed with a Hazel airbrush guide featured on an issue of Dengeki Hobby, where the guy used airbrush to color everything, including the neon green eyes (mad masking techniques FTW!) D:

Any pen knife or hobby knife would do.

I use this:

Are you sure that this is a Perfect Grade??? According to my source, it's just a Big Scale which Bandai promise that it will be a NEAR Perfect Grade model. BTW how much is the PG Strike??
*
NOT Perfect Grade. Just a full blown 1/60 scaled kit with better proportions compared to the 1/100 kit.

erm, i want to ask a question. Why is it in the picture at the box and manual for BB gundam model blaze zaku phantom iclude the stand? But there's actually no stand comes with this model..  unsure.gif

Read the text. It says that you can use a stand as included in another BB Gundam model kit for display. It itself doesn't come with the stand.

yeah i got my HG 1/144s for around RM40+ each...gave my dad RM150 n told him to keep the change since it was already considered as cheap getting 3 HG 1/144 kits for RM150  rclxm9.gif
*
lol. And we have to pay almost double that amount for only one kit tongue.gif

Which reminds me, how much do local shops over you guys' place charge for Advanced Hazel and Hazel Custom? I find all the shops over here in Malacca suddenly charging RM85 (I bought it back in January for only RM70) for Advanced Hazel, and RM75 (bought for RM62 back in Jan) for Hazel Custom... o_o

Have anyone here bought the Ex-model arcangel, eternal & minerva before? Do it require a lot of painting like the 144 series or less painting like 100 series.
*
From what I've remembered:

Ex-model = for pro modellers = all the parts are in mono color = intensive paintjob required = you definitely won't enjoy it if you're not l33t in the painting department.

You could always hope and wait for the trading figure series to come out with a DX 1/400 Archangel/Minerva/Eternal, though. IIRC, those are prepainted (till date, I've only seen a DX Quin Mensa and Musai)
