You're right . ASUS products are priced much higher than the other brands found over here e.g MSI and Gigabyte, especially for the graphics card. Fortunately I know a seller who sold me the GTX560 TI from ASUS for a pretty low price .

I am curious, do you guys have a place where I can bring my non b3 mobo to exchange 1 to 1 directly on the same day same time, no waiting?

If I am not wrong the warranty reset upon u exchange the mobo? just wanna clarify.

i think its already available but with limited stock myb.... i bought Asus p8p67 pro B3 and Asus GTX560TI 2 weeks ago...

You can approach the same dealer you bought the motherboard from and the dealer will swap it with a B3 revised mobo on the spot.

Sound to me that you are just another bureaucratic bot worker.

My Maximus IV Extreme B2 is sitting at distro Servex for 2 weeks already. Waiting for B3 swapping. Fingers crossed patiently. At first I thought it was 1 to 1 exchange, but it isn't. Luckily I got a spare mobo to play with.

just called asus support yesterday will keep u guys update =D hopefully asus wont let me down. Being an asus user for 10 years , laptop,mobo,gc and sound card even router, this is the worst experience tat ever happen.

Same here, it seems the instant 1 to 1 on the same day same hour isnt fully enforced.

B3 version has no cougar point issue right? i just sent my p8h67 at jayacom, they said have to wait 1 month to get new replacement.

my i7-2600 is currently sitting idly by the table.

These days can't rely on brand anymore. I only support brand if got good service but if they start to give lousy service or quality I chop also, no matter how good the brand is!

is there some funny setting in bios for the P8P67 where it doesn show HDD in windows but detects under device manager, and WD Life Diagnostics

I assume u didn't assign a drive letter (ie D: etc) to the said HDD.
Depends on ur windows, go to START menu, search for "computer management".
Storage > Disk Management, there should show u the HDD, right click and give it a Drive Letter.

The M4E is a good board, I just got mine ASUS always makes my money and my PC is all made up of ASUS - board, sound card + graphics card

Asus arr? For me, ok larr I think. Not great, but still nice

I do believe that both of them is a normal employee to their respective company
but the difference is the backing of the company

The main issue usually in a forum is troubleshooting
and the B3 issue does requires a proper trouble shooting
but all I am seeing is that, though there might be good intentions and ways to solve the B3 issue
the flow down of procedure seems to deviates down line and Asus seems to have no instant feedback on this

It is not that your service is no good
It just seem lacking when comparing to others

and you cant blame/stop people from comparing as this is natural in the business world

haha, maybe i will upgrade to m4e thn sell off my p8p67 pro once I got the B3 rma back. Lolz. But I think I will wait till z68 out 1st, then see if any good board by then. Since asus b3 replacement program need to wait

mcchin, couldn't have said it better myself. And I don't expect the comparing to stop as that is essential for improvement.
As for the B3 swapping and replacing service, I will double check with the departments to see if this is being enforced enough.

What is mentioned in the NOTICE section of the thread is applied to both swapping and sales return. However, we do encourage you to swap for the B3 revision boards as they are comprised of newer components.

The Vulcan hasn't been released yet and it isn't confirmed if it will be sold here in Malaysia. But we will definitely update this thread if it does.

I've problem with my newly bought p8p67 le B3 motherboard. When I shutdown my OS, the PC reboots itself after few seconds. I tried to bring it to the shop that I bought it but they claimed I bent the pin on the socket and refused to send it back for warranty. May I know if I can send it direct to distributor or Asus for fixing, the pin looks just fine for me and it could start and running okay but won't shutdown properly unless I flick the off switch. Please help.

TS it's better for you to liaise with your current distributor regarding the Sandy Bridge replacement issue

I have 2 boards for P8P67 Pro lying @ SERVEX for more than 2 weeks, still they haven't issue replacement for me. In the end I have to fork out and take new stock to replace for customer

Your current distributor very "funny", when asking for SWAP they said no-stock, but when place order got stock

From my point of view, the "FLAW" for your ASUS Sandy Bridge replacement program is lack of support & commitment from BOTH of your distributor & collaboration between you guys "ASUS Msia" & your distributor

here is my rant about asus mobo pci-e placment
i fit an asus sound card (xonar essence) in its slot and it blocks my main gpu slot, so ok nvm i use the second slot, blocking my other sata ports (highlighted in red)
hence i am limited to 3 sata ports and no x-fire possibility
bloody move the pci-e to the bottom, iirc gigabyte does it below gpu slots

Just swap my Asus P8P67 Pro to B3 board, brand new, but only the board itself, no replacement for other cable etc.

The seller told me this's the fastest way to get your replacement, if u want to get an entire new replacement(everything inside the box also new), then have to wait at least 2 months time, or maybe longer, nobody knows how long will it take.

So I guess I'm just dealt with it.

I think that's fair enough The cables and stuffs are the same so why bother to replace? As long as we can get a new board then problem resolved.

Exactly, the main point is to get replacement of the board itself, it's not like all other stuffs also kena the bug and need replacement lol.

Just move ur soundcard to 2nd PCI-E 16X slot and move ur gc to 1st PCIE 16 slot, tat's all...this is wad i did on my asus mobo with pcie soundcard

The RMA policy only applies to the respective country the product was sold in officially. So let's say you bought it from eBay Malaysia, it still doesn't count because we didn't bring in that model. Only notebooks have global warranty.

Did you recently assemble your PC? When did the problem start? After making changes to the hardware?
Right now, the closest assumption I can make is that your jumper pins are configured wrong or the CMOS reset jumpers are not placed back to its default configuration. But these two problems shouldn't cause your PC to auto restart. You could also take a picture of the socket so that I can take a look.

It's terrible that you're suffering from this. This should not be tolerated and I am feeding this back to our country product manager as I type this.

May i know, is there got any msi distributor in JB?since i m moving back from kl to johor after my study, most of my pc hardwares are bought from lowyat plaza, just wanna know can i RMA my item in jb if something happen?

At first I was going to say that you could still put your graphics card on the main PCIe x16 slot but that would be difficult since the PSU is located at the bottom. The cables won't be able to reach the sound card especially with the video card in the way.
So i would suggest the same thing chenhui mentioned below. That should solve the issue of blocking your SATA ports.

Apparently our RC liaison already told you last week that if you want to do a swap service for the Sandy Bridge motherboards, you can deal with RC centre directly instead of claiming DOA. Then you need not wait for the distributor to get back to you.

yes bro I think they repaired the B2 and given it a B3 ID then sent it back to me as B3 lol!
now i don't wanna touch this board until ASUS reply my. 1st pic shows that CEX (?) treats it as RMA? WTF? I thought I sent it for B3 Swap due to the B2 flaws..
the saddest thing is they treat this expensive board as a RM10 toy. I bought it with my hard earned money for RM1.2k Asus dude

yea la bro. M4E is high end board for SB sommore ! CEX salah faham ? yea wait for ASUS reply. this kind of service is a no no for all of us man.

Obviously 1 to 1 swap and B2 to B3 which they claimed will take a few days only. But what a shame it drags til 3 weeks. That's why i keep chasing my regular seller Cex. Who knows the board is returned like this bad condition. Another sad news is Cex will not refund me after i offered to reject the board. Instead asking me to claim from Asus Royal Club and he's frustrated with this swap already. My long time serving seller also becomes like this due to FLAWED Asus Swapping Program. Aiyoyo.
