Asus non-B3 mobo user here,

I am curious, do you guys have a place where I can bring my non b3 mobo to exchange 1 to 1 directly on the same day same time, no waiting?

If I am not wrong the warranty reset upon u exchange the mobo? just wanna clarify.

Same here, it seems the instant 1 to 1 on the same day same hour isnt fully enforced.

Looks like swapping to Z68 directly is a wiser choice lol.

I already expect this kind of problem will come out, Asus have no physical solid PCB B3 logo printing like MSI/gigabyte did. its just stickers on RAM slot + Box. its is very hard to judge on site.

I even suspect, the first batch is likely the real B3 board, the second batch B3 board is probably salvage from the "Good/better" first batch returned B2 board that isnt the 15% Intel claimed have SATA problem and reflash BIOS + relabeled it to B3. Probably thats the reason Asus didnt have any physical distinction between the B3 and the B2 one. hmm.gif '

btw, i am CEX's customer too.

I too, thought that you were able to get the refund. I'll see what I can do.
I'm not sure I understand you right. I was told that you accepted the board instead of getting a refund in the end. So now are you getting a refund?

Added on April 18, 2011, 4:07 pmHi all, Republic of Gamers is holding an online contest worldwide and the prizes are simply irresistible! I've uploaded the web banner on the main post with the link. What are you waiting for?!

There is no grace period. Intel has already arranged with all the principles to replace all affected Intel 6 series chipset boards with the B3 revision ones. So the swapping program will only stop once ALL affected boards are replaced. You follow?

got it biggrin.gif

To be honest if it wasnt that 5 year warranty board, I wouldnt even bother buying Asus. It is more expensive in general. right now I am gunning for "top up upgrade to Z68" and be forget about this matter.

I have 6 motherboard failed on me in the past, the longest lasting one is MSI. Base on that I would probably go for MSI.

If u take a look of the recent software that has been lacking behind Hardware by a lot. There isnt much reason to upgrade a PC if u are non-gamer. biggrin.gif

Don't think so  cool2.gif

Your source?  hmm.gif

If u search the internet, you'll find a lot of information. However I think gigabyte altered the policy at last minute

I am sure I read these 2 companies announcement back then b4 I got Asus ones. (Asus is the 3rd to announce while gigabyte being the first) All of them comes with refund policy.

Hi all, I've uploaded our latest promotion and a press release on the Z68 motherboards. Have a look at the start of this thread biggrin.gif
The Z68 boards were only launched today officially. If you head to the local tech stores you should find the boards available.

Do Asus actually have Z68 Sabertooth? or they are skipping this whole thing?

anyone have experience with jayacom before ?? for swaping b3 mobo..
how their feedback?

Added on May 24, 2011, 8:56 pmjust got feedback from jayacom from their fb when i ask about this B3 swaping program, here it is:
"just return back to the branch that you purchase with, and we gonna send it back to the manufacture as a warranty swap, once the board arrive back in our hand we will once inform you that it's ready to collect biggrin.gif do know that this process will undertake around 1 - 3 weeks."
i thought, they will give me on the spot like state in 1st page. but sadly no..
*

Royal club is just across the road @ imbi, call customer support deal directly with them, or ask Jayacom to work with royal club to make the swap happen. It is their job to do it. if it require u to head over royal club, do it(it is near jayacom anyway). Just inform them, give ur mobo serial number then give them a few days to make arrangement.

Asusmy already said it is able to swap 1 to 1 directly on the spot.

Well, I insist on swapping on the spot. They did a full swap for me including the accessory. tongue.gif

Thanks to Asusmy and CEX for arranging the smooth swap. I am satisfied smile.gif
