You will not believe how many people actually went to BMW showroom and bought themselves a fairly expensive car during CMCO.

If the price range hits between 75 to 90 then that is the sweet spot that lower-mid tier earning class can afford. Especially with youngers these days when they do not have a family of 2 to mind.

X70 base is just too big for a single living lad.

Sadly usually during bad times the ones that are able to afford luxury tend to not be affected as much. Not surprising at all that luxury car makes saw increased sales than usual since its tax haven season

Typical people with safe job would play safe and spent on affordable japan make car. The ones who spent on luxury car even during bad times are those from own/family business. While I was at the SC waiting, I saw a lot of business uncle and also sons with parents at the 'signing room'.

The 1.4T accelerates to 100km/h in 13 seconds? If it's true, I really hope Proton offers the 1.5T as well sweat.gif

I guess it makes sense though, bad times usually would need people to spend to stimulate the economy and these are the people that are able to do it most

0-100km/h acceleration which takes 13 seconds is bloody slow, even slower than a Myvi!

Based on some video reviews on YT, the vibration/noise/rattling of the 3 cylinder engine can be mostly felt at low RPMs..

7:00 onwards:

13 seconds is because the reviewer from the source blog used the sister company car with 1.4T 4 cylinder model as baseline. Both sisters shared a lot of the same spec for 1.4T variant.

Thanks for the video bro ! hardly find review on low-rev caused vibration noise for 3 cylinder car but this time you found it somemore from chinese channel haha.
But I cant really say much about 3 cylinder because F30 318i is 3 cylinder but doesnt sound like and move like one. It just feel like 4.

The only time i can hear louder engine sound is when i accelerate near 80km/h about 2800rpm. But I dont feel any vibration at all.

I heard proton will give some government agencies to test out x50 in limited units
Later it will be sold as demo unit (of course cheaper but may high mileage n wear n tear)

if the tax advantage which the X70 gets is also applied to this X50, no reason why it won't sell

Really doubt the 1.4T takes 13 seconds to 100kmh. If similar powered and weight setups like the Preve CFE are to go by, it'll likely take around 9.5 seconds in most normal conditions.

The only possible reason is that Proton swap the whole lux hardware/component out with cheapskate/locally made/low quality ones... like the speaker cry.gif

This looks a little different from the photo that is being shared in another fb group.
I guess looking at this the premium is the best choice to go with although the engine not TDGI

I’m going over to my nearest Proton showroom to book one today smile.gif
Just wondering when I book Flagship variant, does it mean I am going to stick to that until loan approved ? Or I can change my option to Premium later on if anything ?

i think u can tell them ur preferred model lo.. then also 2nd choice. if u wanna think twice, u can submit loan for 2 variant, then u see which loan u wan to accept lo. just that u cannot submit loan for 2 banks lol. u can tell ur SA la they can arrange for u.

The SA I've contacted said just book your preferred variant first, but we are allowed to change later.

Expected queues & long waiting times. Some SA even took bookings since August

Can refer your SA to me ? I called proton hotline asking which showroom I can book X50, they tell me it’s closed today due to holiday and ask me to call again tomorrow 😂😂

Hold on, took booking since August ? I thought official announced no booking unless Proton make it official otherwise all scam ?

Usually how long does bookings open for? 1-2 months?

Personally, don't feel the rush to make the booking yet as I'm not 100% decided on the colour and would prefer to take a look at the car this Saturday first... tongue.gif

But if there's a quota, for example first 10k bookings = Batch 1, subsequent 10k bookings = Batch 2, then I think there might be more urgency to book quickly sad.gif

i believe booking is dealer based. definitely not nationwide under same booking, that is very hard to manage. They send the car to dealership based on quota also. So if u go big dealer u might get ur car sooner, but big dealer means more booking in queue. So sometimes small dealer less booking then then easily next is ur queue already. This is what i knew from SA. Why queue not nationwide, because the people spread around the states, let say 1st booking is in KL, 2nd in penang, 3rd in sarawak, impossible they send only 1 car to this dealer then next dealer another car, then later send sarawak, like tat logistic nightmare and the logistics cost lol.

so when booking u go the dealer u ask them how many booking ahead lo. like tat easier gauge ur chance. if only 10 booking ahead then u can get ur car soon, if 100-200 queue already maybe u go other dealer faster lol. so best is if u have SA in proton.

While im getting a D seg sedan in future

worst come to worst if she has bought HRV, I wouldn't be happy and I wouldn't drive/sit that car tbh

go to facebook and look for the following groups and show your gf

1) Honda Owners Club (Technical Problems)
2) I Will Not Buy Another Honda Malaysia (iWN-BAHM)

Go read there... only honda has group like this, not toyota or other cars. their reliability is not what it used to be.

thx for sharing. I'm surprise that toyota doesn't have this sort of FB group? meaning they're not so many major issue after all?

Hope this really can change my gf mind.

I know each car has it's own fault but need to scrutinize what's the probability, meaning 5 out of 10 cars has issue, then it's gonna be a problem. If 1 out of 10 cars, maybe just unlucky.

Asked my China friends' opinion on this car. They said, if buy, use 3-4 years or 100K km, then sell it off.
Most of the problems comes after that.

Depends how long until they launch, usually is between Soft launch ~ Launch date, like X70

X70 book 1 month after launch end up only getting 5/6 months later haha

I have seen Philippine and China Ones but they are not so much L2 at all so I’m wondering where the heck they get another system to support L2 and who the heck built it.

I wouldn’t want to risk it if the system is built by local 😵

i believe L2 is better than honda sensing. i believe la.. i dunno never try. cos honda sensing never say they are on par with l2 autonomous.

Level 2: partial automation
Partial automation enables drivers to disengage from some driving functions. Level 2 vehicles are able to assist with functions like steering, acceleration, braking, and maintaining speed, although drivers still need to have both hands on the wheel and be ready to take control if necessary.

With steering, Level 2 vehicles assist by centering the car within the lane, whereas the speed control function ensures that the correct distance is kept from other cars. An example of a car with Level 2 autonomy is the 2019 Volvo S60, with its auto-braking feature and Pilot Assist capabilities.

PJ White Ballroom. But you need to register timing through a SA.

I see. Anyone got slots left? I watch the videos, seems like the quality of the cameras are not that good. Or is it just the preview unit only like that?

It's possible but could be due to indoor poor lighting. This saturday got public viewing so we'll get more info..

my gf (soon to be fiance) want to have a SUV b-seg, and keep say HRV better than x50 due to honda, japanese car, more reliable bla bla bla. looking at proton like low level like that...i'm so keen to have x50 but gf (w/o car knowledge) keep have those "listen parents/fren say" mentality, making the purchase of x50 is very impossible...

While im getting a D seg sedan in future

worst come to worst if she has bought HRV, I wouldn't be happy and I wouldn't drive/sit that car tbh
*
If she is a simple point A to B driver, then Honda might be the better choice. For normal service, Honda is good, bar the warranty claim issue. If she can ignore minor squicky2 sound, go Honda.

Proton older models are mechanically reliable but rattle quite sooner than other brands. Service quality is bad, even in COSE have to wait half a day to change oil even if you are 1st in queue. If older model, can go to authorised service center like Lim Tayar to do minor service quickly. If geely model, cannot run away from 3S and 4S.

Malaysian like leather seats.

Wtf 103K doesn’t make sense man I estimated the highest is 95K for highest variant.

If they really price 103K then i confirm Proton is trying to raise the price range bar for the future models including revamped Saga and Iris.

It’s possible that we are getting this ‘low quality’ camera because it’s CKD with 45% parts/component locally assembled.

They trying to cut down cost while keeping the price high for profit 🤷🏼‍♂️

Agree but my friend who drives a City 2017 claims that each service cost minimum 560 and more than 800 for major ones.

So unless Geely components are that expensive, don’t think you will pay more than 500 for proton car service unless major

That's why I was saying if the Executive model is below RM80k, it makes a lot of sense for many ppl. Not everyone needs L2 autonomous driving and sun roof. Small SUV also no need 360 camera in the Premium.

Executive already has sync leather seats and reserve camera. 17" wheel is cheaper to maintain and more comfort. 1.5T with MPI on the lower end model makes more sense on longevity.

ppl buy x70 and buy x50 is diff market le, x70 is more family car, x50 is more like single or just married or decide to have 1 kid punya ppl car. but i agree they should not eat into each price range. just like hrv will not eat into CRV range.

If is 103k is really overkill. The binyue in China only cost around 11k rmb which is like 73k? Lol.

While I really like both x70 x50 , I really hope Proton remain the price competitive and provide us a bargain. After all we are one of the very first market being penetrated

But Philippines import the car directly while we assemble in Malaysia. Not all parts sourced from China too.
Honestly I was hoping it would be 10k cheaper for the flagship.

Seems like 103K is fake news so I sincerely hope they don’t price it any higher than 100K because it just doesn’t make sense.

Look at the rumored price range For each variant, it’s 10K gap between each other ! That is outrageous.

Yea I agree it actually values around 70-80K for Malaysian to buy a slightly advanced local car. Not more than that.

1.5T on longevity I’m not so sure if it makes any significant difference between MPI and direct. We will see in 3 years span

Pricing between 75-95k would be in the sweet spot. Those that doesn't want the bells and whistles can go for the lower end and those who want the canggih stuff can fork out another 20k which put just below the x70 base model.

Putting aside the cost of manufacturing and the tax structure of this car (which we don't know), if I were Proton, I would price my car as below judging from the different between the equipment provided.

Standard: 76K
Executive: 80K
Premium: 86K
Flagship: 95K

sales tax is sales tax, don confuse with import tax and excise duty lol. CKD is 100% exemption, regardless of car company.

cos u need to see the sales tax calculation. cos this sales tax structure is not simple calculation bro. don think too much, just think ada discount can already.

This is possible. It would make sense since buyer can decide if he wants x50 premium or x70 standard. If flagship too high, Proton still need to educate people on why they should pay more for the ADAS 2.0.

Also, much cheaper can grab sales from new city and almera.

all of my SA told me the flagship model should be priced below 100k

for all model variant should be from 75k to 99k

I think proton is playing the marketing game with Honda & Nissan
all waiting for their competitor to release their price first only then they'll adjust their launch price

There's a sun shade covering the sunroof as per Geely Binyue and Geely Coolray. If it isn't enough, can opt to get the glass tinted to 100%

if the shade is piece of plastic like x70 then that one i think still can feel some heat radiated inside the car.

But the sunroof would be an extra maintenance. Like future leaking and so on. Its cool to open it I guess.

Yeah, I don't know why they had the sunroof option as probably I would say 9/10 people wouldn't use it. Don't know about the Philippines or China, but there's no market in Malaysia. They should already know from the x70 CKD. Rather they save the cost and pass down to consumers.

I won't be opening it either, just pull the shade away to let in more light during a cloudy day or at night. It does make the car feel more spacious. Philipinno reviewers did mention this.

I'm hoping the flagship parts comes from geely mostly, since it's almost the same as geely binyue (especially the ADAS). Honda civic has issues with it's front sensors..

Just a good tint for the sunroof and windscreen/window with good heat rejection.

So far, X70 aircond did a good job in cooling the cabin.

If find it very nice to have panoramic sunroof while driving. I normally open the shade while driving and rear passenger will appreciate it as well ✌

Initially I booked a Premium variant, thought it comes with a 4 cylinder engine. But later immediately changed to flagship after knowing all are 3 cylinders.

I do appreciate it having sunroof. I been complaining about my car feeling stuffy whether it’s Alza or old e240 or the F30 318i.

Able to glance through the sunroof to get sunlight or look at the sky enlighten the atmosphere in the car

Went over to a Proton Edar showroom to book a unit today.
According to my SA, they had 5K bookings nationwide on Malaysia Day itself.
Most likely they breached 10K already by now...

The estimated delivery date would be from 3 to 6 months.
Even signed disclaimer to say I might not get the sales tax exemption lol.

Then they should do it like the x70, those who want sunroof can take the variant with extra 3k. No one stopping you from getting it. The reason why they split the variant for x70 because majority of ppl didn’t want sunroof (word from proton SA, not myself).

I also appreciate the inclusion of the panoramic sunroof. Really sets it apart from others. Definitely worth it in my honest opinion with it. To each their own I suppose, some might want it some don’t. Some prefer halogen yellow light, sone LED, some HID, some want different rim, some want these adaptive safety equipment some think can save few thousand if come in an empty metal box with 5 speed manual and 15’ steel rims lol.

The sunroof of the x70 is very bad design in that even when closed, the binds does not stop sunlight and heat from entering the cabin

If the roof design in the x70 was similar to the x50, more people may opt for it

I'm targeting the Premium. Not infavor of these upgrades:

1. TGDi engine - DI engine tends to buildup premature carbon. This will need additional maintenance

2 .Panoramic sunroof - Dont find this useful in our weather

3. Driver assist - Dont think it will be useful for my driving

euro4m standard will eliminate the carbon build up. that one happened becos last time our fuel is euro2 only. now even ron95 is euro4m, so this should not be an issue. panoramic sunroof is like love it or hate it. i never drive 1 before so i dunno, but i think can open during morning and not in afternoon then is still cool. probably open at night is very breathtaking.

driver assist, this one good for kl ppl or place alot jam. but if u drive in smaller city area then no much use.

After market installation Ambient lighting won’t look original and nice because in Coolray the ambient lighting sits between door panel and glove compartment.

It’s memang like that already Proton cut cost until like that so they have to swap in local cheap camera and call it ‘HD’.

Good news is though it’s cheap quality but since it’s HD, you still get at least 720p video quality.

Why is no one talking about the reduction of HP of the 2 engine variants?
Seems like the engine is similar to the rumored 1.4L 4 cylinder engine.
I wonder how much difference of performance would the flagship and remaining have

My concern here is not really on the camera quality, rather than the quality standards in proton. If you see from this link, the parking lot is a lot darker wheres the X50 preview is in a very bright hall, but there is no green-ish tint on the 360 camera view screen like the one we see in the X50 from some of the local youtube videos.

The question is, what else do they cheap on?

I'm guessing Proton will offer ambient lighting as additional accessories. Which is good because to me, a sunroof is far more functional than ambient lighting or paddle shifters. At least I can sunbathe and get a nice tan when stuck in KL traffic, or get some romantic action under the moonlight. Good job Proton!

you have to understand direct injection vs port fuel injection, if you did, you wont ask why reduction of HP biggrin.gif
is not something worth discussing... the flagship do have something "seems" better and understandable (maybe some still prefer port fuel injection engine) among 3 other variants

probably I guess proton want to sell flagship with higher pricing, making 3 other variants more economy biggrin.gif

Its not so much of why there is a reduction of HP but how much it would affect the performance. Its no longer 0-100 in 7.9sec.
I was hoping at least the premium would have the direct injection engine too.
Rather than discussing about ambient light in the car

wapcar speculate earlier the low end variant is 4 cylinder engine but proton already confirm it both is 3 cylinder.

I think what is more disappointing is that if it has dashcam feature like Coolray, it won’t record in good clarity and quality.

How about focusing on the positives instead of nitpicking:

177hp, 255m torque
Real world 8.5 sec 0-100km/h acceleration
Level 2 autonomous driving assistance with ICC & ACC, AEB, blindspot warning, etc
Lovely interior with a 10.25" infotainment screen with 360 camera
Sleek exterior with dual tone colour
Panoramic sunroof

No other car within the same category and price range that can match the specifications of the Proton X50.

Agree with the positive points. But hey, this is Proton we are paying almost 100K for. This is not a foreign car bro.

If you are comparing Geely Binyue to similar category then 100K is too good to be true. But we are talking about a national local brand car.

Really can do like this ka? Next month launch, now can ping pong price? Let say they decided next week, price is 80k - 100k, submit price to MITI(or whatever gov body for approval), the next day can sell with that price?

Never thought this automotive industry is level kilang kicap only. doh.gif

They have. It’s just that they are playing with the price game.

RRP already submitted to MITI for sure otherwise won’t make it if they launch next month.

How they play with it while bypassing MITI is by using “Discount and rebate” strategy.

If you understand how business and marketing work, they tend to strategize this way to attract customer. While keeping customer’s curiosity or I would say, budget in check.

Exec might be the sweet spot of the range. If priced below RM83k would be a pretty good deal. Most car shoppers have a budgets of below 90k (where the Vios and Citys are)

Actually yes, you can. SA can apply with estimated price 1st, I've seen some people got their x50's loans approved.

My SA already hand-in my loan application yesterday, was told that it will take around 3 days to process. Just curious what's the normal rates would be around.

Actually yes, you can. SA can apply with estimated price 1st, I've seen some people got their x50's loans approved.
My SA already hand-in my loan application yesterday, was told that it will take around 3 days to process. Just curious what's the normal rates would be around.

Can bank actually loan you money without a product/purchase statement after approval ?

Are you sure car loan works this way ? This sounds like personal loan to me.

Let alone mortgage loan.

wonder if proton 4S will get more car allocation compared to oter dealers?
*
I think it's more like if the 3S/4S are cash rich. Meaning they are able to pay cash immediately for the stocks.

The 1S cannot buy X70/X50 directly from Proton but from 3S/4S, so 1S sure slower delivery as 3S/4S will prioritise it's own customers ** Unless the 1S is adik to another 3S, meaning the boss owns both these 2 branches **

My SA from Proton Edar told me the exact same thing as the above post. They’ll submit the loan application with estimated pricing. Once the car price confirmed, they’ll revise to the actual amount.

Think the logic here is that SAs want you to get approved for the credit facility to ease the final loan application. If banks know you’re good for 100K now, you should be good for 100K when car is delivered. Thus, quicker loan approval when the final pricing is confirmed.

Just curious bro why you want to switch from x70 to x50?
I believe it is different segment and x70 would be more spacious if
you have family right?

Impress with the interior and technology. Ya,,maybe size wise will need to sacrifice. Anyhow, I will need to see the actual product launch then will decide again while waiting for X70

I don't think they submit based from estimated price. Probably submit loan for x70 standard variant, later once car price announced, just change car type and adjust abit since similarly priced. Reason is to speed up process like what you said, can loan for 97k car surely can loan for whatever x50 variant you want.

No it’s the fact that you can get loan approved without a purchase statement. At least for house loan you need property information plus proof of property only can submit for approval right ?

Otherwise everyone can take out all sorts of loan like personal loan ??? What is the purpose of labeling ‘mortgage loan’ and ‘car loan’ ?

Well, technically, if the hire purchase loan is approved, the funds get transferred directly to the vendor/merchant (Proton) and doesn’t reach my pocket at all. So, I don’t really see how anyone would take advantage of this to commit fraud.

And I’m 100% sure banks have their own checks in place to prevent this from happening.

Relax je... if loan is ‘pre-approved’ and I can get the car early, win win for everyone. Proton gets the money. Banks get a new customer. I get the car.

Hi all, internal announcement from Proton to dealers.

“ Good morning all dealer bosses.

Kindly take note HQ is started full production base on actual client booking on X50 by model, color, each respectively. As foreseen the over whelming of booking, we want the Rm500 booking to transfer from dealer to (censored) Account. (Refer to memo (censored/MSD/2020/199)

For those dealer treat your VIP client zero booking fees, kindly advise and compulsory to pay the Rm500 booking in order to get the earlier stock allocation.

This is to make sure earlybid get car in prior and avoid manipulation in system, jump queue etc.

Happy selling”

No more zero booking even if your SA treat like VIP

Yeah that's my consideration too but you know being Malaysian we always look for good bargain that's why still waiting for the car price.
Since I'm single either car still ok for me.

Hi guys, any good SA to recommend? I doubt any from proton will be giving cash rebates for such newly launch model huh? Do you guys think we still can make it to get the car by end of this year to make it for the tax discount? Now almost end of Sept. Price also haven't announced, test drive unit also wont be so soon I guess confused.gif

You all already placed your bookings? Thinking to consider x50 among hr-v & subaru xv (cash rebate 10k quite attractive)

Placed booking since there is no other car that's equivalent within x50 budget. If you get early, you might get tax rebate. If not, also good since you will get it next year, which is a 2020 car.

Why lah X50 still using timing belt engine?? To keep the turbo engine ”low noise” according to the engineer..Leceh need to fork out time and money when reaching 80k km milleage. Looks like better top up a bit to get the x70 exec if the price nearing rm90~100k..

Why lah X50 still using timing belt engine?? To keep the turbo engine ”low noise” according to the engineer..Leceh need to fork out time and money when reaching 80k km milleage. Looks like better top up a bit to get the x70 exec if the price nearing rm90~100k..

Rm600++for likes of saga/persona...Labour + oil change etc prepare rm1k. If It's not about the money but is not practical as will have the dillema scaring the timing belt to snap when car about reaching 80k km..if for a rm80k+ car worth it? Where else timing chain using in axia can lasted over 250k km. That's why the myvi sells >10x more than iriz even more solid at cheaper pricing.

Why didn't book earlier? Booking fees are refundable

Out of that 15k bookings, perhaps only 50% will be able to make the actual deposit or secure a loan

Sorry might be a noob question to ask but how you guys got your loan approvals? My SA told me loan application will only be submitted after the launching, likely end of next month because next month only they all will be going for the proton training. You guys apply loan yourself? I am new to the process actually sweat.gif

To put things simply and clearer, you are saying that you submit loan application, get approval from bank, and then hold your confirmation to provision the loan until the official price is set.

Once official price announce, you recalculate how much you need to pay for deposit and proceed to ‘confirm and sign’ with bank for loan.

Correct ?

Other car manufacturers are moving towards 3 cylinder and turbo to reduce carbon emission tax.. plus this engine is not by proton, it is used by Geely in collaboration with Volvo. They also sell Geely binyue and Coolray in other countries.. if you don't want turbo or 3 cylinder, you are limited to city/vios at this price.. unless you can afford mazda..

That’s my concern too. Bootspace is really small it might not fit much after stroller. You could to try out with your own stroller once sales gallery is open.

Anyway family car should consider x70. This one more for youngsters buat gaya 🤣

Yup agree. I need to spend 30K more to get Mazda 3 and top up another 20K or get CX5.

So proton X50 is somewhat better than CX3 in many areas despite cheaper

It shows that it is indeed very shaky but the we don’t have to worry about it being transferred to the interior in 1-2 years time.

Do wonder if it stays the same after 3 years 🤔

From bobby video think it's 9.8sec.

Maybe they test turun bukit that's why can get 7.9s. Haha

Inconsistent results from all the other videos that I watched. Perhaps the driver could play a factor in some of the variables in the test results. After all they are all from the media & not professional drag racers I supposed. From paul tan video, bobby ang & few others seems like x50 pulls ahead. Don't take my word for it, you can watch it from the video from 2.09 onwards.

The result from Engear and Nazz video also vary. But i love the way they discuss the acceleration test result in Engear.
Love the overall explanation by that pakcik janggut.

Yup can clearly see in Nazz video also here starting at 2.22. He drove x50 first & it won the race. He drove bmw second & bmw won the race?? Clearly shows driver plays a big factor as well, best to get professional drivers to do the test if want a proper results.

that should cost some time

century sprint should be with single driver, up to temp. tyres, low fuel, hot and dry day, grippy tarmac

then only official time is good, like manufacturers' official fuel consumption figure

So the AEB works. Instead of fully crash the car in front it reduces the impact.

It works, yes. AEB is definitely not meant to prevent 100% crash. However, from what i saw in the video, the cars are not moving that fast and I believe the AEB should have prevented.

I can think of 2 factors:
1. X50 is heavier than IRIZ and perhaps need a longer braking distance ? AEB triggered but ultimately it still dependent on the overall braking capability.
2. Response of the AEB system (processing speed) is not as fast (or could be calibrated to react more aggressively).

Donno lah...the one that i read and study, you should not do AEB test repeatedly and using the same car...sometimes the ECU can become crazy...just imagine you drive from office to your house, how many times you wanted to langgar front car?just my 2 cent

Guys got a question?

Whats the price difference between comprehensive cover insurance vs third party vs third party+fire+theft?

My agent estimated around RM3,200 premium per year. How much would third party be?

Yes, this is normal for turbo engines with direct injection. Just budget RM500-600 for walnut blasting every 50,000km. For mine, i plan to do it every 40k km, as I let the car sit idle for long periods + traffic jams.

X50 should be directly compared with CX-3, which is an SUV version of the Mazda 2.

You can opt for the non flagship variant if worried about carbon build up. He did mentioned proton claimed they tested for 100k KM & did not notice any carbon build up though. I read about it before saying that since now we are using Euro 4m fuel for ron95, the chances of carbon build up is reduced. Anyways worst to worst also just pay to clean up the carbon build up if there is any when the time comes. I did overhaul my old 15 years old car engine last year to clean the carbon it build up over the years.

Very true, one should judge the car overall by all the important key points & most importantly its price. But you know la, x50 kan. Noone has test driven it yet apart from the media, so even I can't answer your question lol.

If you ask me, if i can afford a Mazda, i will go for mazda. But ask yourself what you can do with the savings when you get x50, especially during this pandemic..

It's official from Proton, even though Proton quoted the engine only output 177PS instead of 179PS in Binyue/Coolray.

There are some Coolray owners managed to sprint in 7.8s (search YouTube). But most reviews in Russia tested around 8.6s.

I think high chances most will, if out of budget they will just downgrade to the lower spec models. After all even the lower specs are still quite good compared to the other brands out there in the market. On top of that my friend just told me his friend working in maybank said most of the loan application for the x50 passed sweat.gif sweat.gif

Banks probably get direction to pass loans easier.. property different story.

It's official from Proton, even though Proton quoted the engine only output 177PS instead of 179PS in Binyue/Coolray.

There are some Coolray owners managed to sprint in 7.8s (search YouTube). But most reviews in Russia tested around 8.6s.

Paultan said 177ps based on ron92 petrol.
If use ron95 can get 179ps.

The thing is do we even have ron92 standard here in malaysia ?

Its weird that they display stats that does not belongs to our malaysian petrol standard which is 95. 97 and ron 100.

Walao campro used to be local heroes favorite leh 😏

But seriously they should have done local benchmark instead of just direct copy and paste.

Now so misleading cannot prove 7.9 sprint time adui

I remember there was a YouTuber in sepang testing all the three cars with timer, measured the BMW X1 sDrive 18i with 12s++, but BMW claimed it can do in 9.6s.

I think official benchmark is just a reference and most manufacturers will just put the "best" result that not necessarily achievable in different driving condition.

Regardless, it still looks better than any car if you are upgrading from saga/wira/any Perodua car bro.
Hell I would even say the same for older Vios and City

Adaptive/intelligent cruise control all control your paddle electronically so if anything fails, you cannot start your car/move your car lah etc.

Which applies to expensive car too 😂
