The Level 2 autonomous driving assistance in the flagship is very useful and worth it and will make the car much more "future proof" for the next 4-5 years IMHO

I have seen Philippine and China Ones but they are not so much L2 at all so I’m wondering where the heck they get another system to support L2 and who the heck built it.

Wtf 103K doesn’t make sense man I estimated the highest is 95K for highest variant.

If they really price 103K then i confirm Proton is trying to raise the price range bar for the future models including revamped Saga and Iris.

It’s possible that we are getting this ‘low quality’ camera because it’s CKD with 45% parts/component locally assembled.

They trying to cut down cost while keeping the price high for profit 🤷🏼‍♂️

Pricing between 75-95k would be in the sweet spot. Those that doesn't want the bells and whistles can go for the lower end and those who want the canggih stuff can fork out another 20k which put just below the x70 base model.

Putting aside the cost of manufacturing and the tax structure of this car (which we don't know), if I were Proton, I would price my car as below judging from the different between the equipment provided.

Standard: 76K
Executive: 80K
Premium: 86K
Flagship: 95K

I dont know if i would go for the flagship even if its below 100k. The sunroof kind of worries me.

Went over to a Proton Edar showroom to book a unit today.
According to my SA, they had 5K bookings nationwide on Malaysia Day itself.
Most likely they breached 10K already by now...

The estimated delivery date would be from 3 to 6 months.
Even signed disclaimer to say I might not get the sales tax exemption lol.

I'm targeting the Premium. Not infavor of these upgrades:

1. TGDi engine - DI engine tends to buildup premature carbon. This will need additional maintenance

2 .Panoramic sunroof - Dont find this useful in our weather

3. Driver assist - Dont think it will be useful for my driving

Agreed! I think if proton maintain all the features in coolray (+ the rear vents) and charging 100k wouldn't be a problem. Really disappointed with the quality of the cameras and infotainment system.

Before any deduction. They mentioned its the price they memang want to charge us but after getting all our roars they believe there is a reason to revise the price. But it wont run too far away from this price range.

How about focusing on the positives instead of nitpicking:

177hp, 255m torque
Real world 8.5 sec 0-100km/h acceleration
Level 2 autonomous driving assistance with ICC & ACC, AEB, blindspot warning, etc
Lovely interior with a 10.25" infotainment screen with 360 camera
Panoramic sunroof

No other car within the same category and price range that can match the specifications of the Proton X50.

Hi guys, any good SA to recommend? I doubt any from proton will be giving cash rebates for such newly launch model huh? Do you guys think we still can make it to get the car by end of this year to make it for the tax discount? Now almost end of Sept. Price also haven't announced, test drive unit also wont be so soon I guess  :confused:
