Judging by how people are hyped about the car you think people would be lining up for it when it is announced next week?

Can't wait to know the price and go make booking.
I am a little worried about the sunroof maintenance later on.

Got it from other group.

This looks a little different from the photo that is being shared in another fb group.
I guess looking at this the premium is the best choice to go with although the engine not TDGI

Still no news where the city preview will be?

PJ White Ballroom. But you need to register timing through a SA.

I was told each dealer only can bring 20 pax. Most likely out already..

Yea. My SA told me he already registered me. Told me to wait for the email with QR latest by end of today.
Fingers crossed.

cheaper in china bcoz its cheaper to built there from the local parts & labour.

but if compare to filipina ..  staring price at 83k, premium at 92k & sports at 102k
so i guest in here price is almost there too .. maybe just lower a bit
*
But Philippines import the car directly while we assemble in Malaysia. Not all parts sourced from China too.
Honestly I was hoping it would be 10k cheaper for the flagship.

Anyone already booked the car but didn't receive the sms confirmation?

I dont know if i would go for the flagship even if its below 100k. The sunroof kind of worries me.

But the sunroof would be an extra maintenance. Like future leaking and so on. Its cool to open it I guess.

Why is no one talking about the reduction of HP of the 2 engine variants?
Seems like the engine is similar to the rumored 1.4L 4 cylinder engine.
I wonder how much difference of performance would the flagship and remaining have

you have to understand direct injection vs port fuel injection, if you did, you wont ask why reduction of HP biggrin.gif
is not something worth discussing... the flagship do have something "seems" better and understandable (maybe some still prefer port fuel injection engine) among 3 other variants

probably I guess proton want to sell flagship with higher pricing, making 3 other variants more economy biggrin.gif
*
Its not so much of why there is a reduction of HP but how much it would affect the performance. Its no longer 0-100 in 7.9sec.
I was hoping at least the premium would have the direct injection engine too.
Rather than discussing about ambient light in the car

Why they keep showing flagship version only? I've been wondering about the lower end versions.

I'm quite surprised that so many people here are nitpicking on all the little things about the X50.

Right off the bat - it's a great car, first impressions are nothing disappointing. Most also comparing 0-100km/h times like it's a necessity, how many of you are going to be sprinting like that everyday ah?

Regarding maintenance, it's obviously going to be expensive la.
Turbo-charged engine + DCT (look-up Volkswagens as a rough example) + 17"/18" wheels + all the electronics in the world. You seriously can't expect maintenance to be cheaper or similar to a simplified Honda/Perodua?
*
I think it is because there is a comparison with Geely version that people are expecting better from Proton.
Also, I think its a good warning about the maintenance. Not many people who have purchased local cars would know about it.
Heck my Myvi maintenance is only 200.

I am a little disappointed with the price. I thought it would be the price b4 tax exemption.

Price valid for peninsular only

So I guess EM should be 105K and 107K OTR

My expectation for Flagship variants was around 95-99K only  sad.gif

Yea this was my expectation too.
If Premium has the same engine as flagship i think I would go for it but now I think i'll wait for honda and see.
