The 1.4T accelerates to 100km/h in 13 seconds? If it's true, I really hope Proton offers the 1.5T as well Proton X50 2020 v1, B-Segment killer

QUOTE(exdtan @ Jul 20 2020, 12:05 AM) I hope so too but a lot of people giving out bad impression on 3 cylinder bro. Proton Malaysia Hard to predict 0-100km/h acceleration which takes 13 seconds is bloody slow, even slower than a Myvi!Based on some video reviews on YT, the vibration/noise/rattling of the 3 cylinder engine can be mostly felt at low RPMs.. 7:00 onwards: This post has been edited by -kytz-: Jul 20 2020, 12:34 AM |

Anyone knows if the Level 2 autonomous driving assist is only available to the Geely Binyue Sports variant in China? Hopefully the L2 including the parking assist is available to all variants of th Proton X50

QUOTE(exdtan @ Sep 16 2020, 08:03 AM) I’m going over to my nearest Proton showroom to book one today Usually how long does bookings open for? 1-2 months?Just wondering when I book Flagship variant, does it mean I am going to stick to that until loan approved ? Or I can change my option to Premium later on if anything ? Personally, don't feel the rush to make the booking yet as I'm not 100% decided on the colour and would prefer to take a look at the car this Saturday first... But if there's a quota, for example first 10k bookings = Batch 1, subsequent 10k bookings = Batch 2, then I think there might be more urgency to book quickly |

QUOTE(ben3003 @ Sep 16 2020, 10:53 AM) i believe booking is dealer based. definitely not nationwide under same booking, that is very hard to manage. They send the car to dealership based on quota also. So if u go big dealer u might get ur car sooner, but big dealer means more booking in queue. So sometimes small dealer less booking then then easily next is ur queue already. This is what i knew from SA. Why queue not nationwide, because the people spread around the states, let say 1st booking is in KL, 2nd in penang, 3rd in sarawak, impossible they send only 1 car to this dealer then next dealer another car, then later send sarawak, like tat logistic nightmare and the logistics cost lol. If that's the case, any smaller dealers you can recommend in KL?so when booking u go the dealer u ask them how many booking ahead lo. like tat easier gauge ur chance. if only 10 booking ahead then u can get ur car soon, if 100-200 queue already maybe u go other dealer faster lol. so best is if u have SA in proton. Getting a little anxious here |

QUOTE(EvanSoon @ Sep 18 2020, 03:46 PM) But the sunroof would be an extra maintenance. Like future leaking and so on. Its cool to open it I guess. QUOTE(tifosi @ Sep 18 2020, 03:51 PM) Yeah, I don't know why they had the sunroof option as probably I would say 9/10 people wouldn't use it. Don't know about the Philippines or China, but there's no market in Malaysia. They should already know from the x70 CKD. Rather they save the cost and pass down to consumers. I won't be opening it either, just pull the shade away to let in more light during a cloudy day or at night. It does make the car feel more spacious. Philipinno reviewers did mention this. |

Since you guys are talking about the cameras, does the car come with dashcam though?
Thinking of getting a pair of dashcam for the front and back... QUOTE(ycs @ Sep 21 2020, 09:55 AM) The features of the car is so much more than the whatever the car is lacking of. |

QUOTE(infernoaswen @ Sep 27 2020, 08:47 PM) My SA told me there are about 15k bookings already so there is a possibility of a lot of customers who wont be able to get the car by end of the year Why didn't book earlier? Booking fees are refundableThought of going to go to make the booking tomorrow Out of that 15k bookings, perhaps only 50% will be able to make the actual deposit or secure a loan |

Guys got a question?
Whats the price difference between comprehensive cover insurance vs third party vs third party+fire+theft? My agent estimated around RM3,200 premium per year. How much would third party be? |

QUOTE(infernoaswen @ Oct 11 2020, 01:09 AM) Btw just sharing something I noticed is proton maintenance tends to be slightly more expensive than honda as they tend to recommend to change fluids/parts more frequently. Was trying to roughly figure out what's the maintenance cost for x50. Probably not a fair apple to apple comparison but would roughly give you an estimate I guess. All of these service is covered under the 5 years warranty right?https://www.proton.com/en/after-sales/service-maintenance https://www.honda.com.my/doc/maintenance/1240 ![]() ![]() |

QUOTE(infernoaswen @ Oct 22 2020, 12:56 PM) The purpose of the virtual launch is to announced the pricing, else no point to have virtual launch. Hahahaha I'm hoping early next month can test drive the car My source quite accurate, 27th Also heard the cars wont be available at the showroom, to prevent public from rushing to showroom to spread covid further. Not sure how true this is, I guess all we can do is wait & see. Even the SA also all now working from home.... |
