16G is not enough unless you use only call & text....BTW, 5S 64G now at RM2299, Ip6 16G at RM2749.

If you have no issues with the smaller screen size then I have no doubts that the 5S is a very capable phone, in fact, based on some feedback I've read over the past few versions of this thread, most apps have yet to be optimized for the 6 and also some commented that the UI for the 6 is still not as smooth as that of the 5S. It's a real good phone, but you need to bear in mind that you're spending over RM2k for a phone that is one generation older and may not be as future proof.

Amazing, iphone 5S 64GB models are discontinued and no longer sold on machines and apple store online.

Starts at 2199 for 32GB 5S, 2399 for 16GB i6, 2749 for 64GB i6.

About RM550 difference, you pay 25% more of 5S price to jump from 5S to the decent storage of the latest iphone.

So it depends on your situation, how frustrated are you with your current phone, vs how much you're willing to wait and save up for the 6.

Probably some leftover stocks need clearing...

as I tested at Switch last night, IMO I admit 5s is more solid than 6.. and 5s is nice to hold on my hand.. size a bit smaller than my mi3.. since before this I use Note 2, so I'm done with big screen, or more accurate, I don't really care about screen size..

at first I think to get ip6 16gb only.. now I currently using Mi3, so I know how is 16gb will limit me. after saw promo 5s 64gb now I'm thinking back, with the same price as ip6 16gb I can get 5s 64gb.. I did saw someone from here said Ip5s can serve me well for next 2 years at least.. so if the performace wise, then the main issue will be the storage.. and warranty purpose, as 5s new unit will no longer available, if anything happened will get refurbished unit.. which is a repaired unit right?

Well, there is no frust for my current phone mi3. mi3 serve me well too. I just wanna try something else like IOS. I saw people move from Android to IOS purely for smoothness and easiness to use.. without think much about tweak here and there.. so I think I need that right now.. I'm done with beta, flashing, root or anything like that to make phone better.. but if I want to switch back, mi3 always there.. I'm not gonna sell it..

and yes i do agree that apps are not optimized for the 6+ (not sure about 6). most third party apps in fact. whatsapp is the worst. laggy and crashes.
native apps like safari etc are working fine though. hope they can optimize it asap.

for those who are on a budget, and don't care about screen size, 5s seems like the way to go. solid, and i believe it will be useable for another 2 years at least. plenty of 5s are on sale in garage sales as well, some with warranty still valid at rm1.5k price.

I'm in torn whether to buy 16gb or 64gb..i'm not a games lover..don't like to upload song...I only used phone for fb, ig, whatsapp,..only download basic app...I love to take photo but always upload into cloud...

BUT...I'm not frequently change the phone every...my phone life time normally 3 - 6 yrs (hahaha old skool meh)...

Anyways, if your usage is at is says it is, 16GB may still not enough if you consider how many iOS upgrades you'll need to do over the 6 years (that is if you upgrade OTA). Need plenty of discipline to maintain a phone at 16GB.

I have a problem here..
I just port in to DiGi network and I can't online cause they said i haven activate my internet data cellular.. but when i call to digi, they ask me manually set my APN to 'diginet' due to it is quite new and they dont have the setting yet..
The problem here is i can't find my APN at cellular data there.. I remember last time there is an APN setting in the Setting>Network..
Anyone can help me?

I have not seen how bad those unoptimised apps fare on the 6+, but from my POV on the 6, whatsapp and waze run fine... no crash whatsoever...

before this, ip4 until ip5 im using 16gb.

then 5s i took 64gb

after that, never look back again.

yes you may.. just simply add in the address..they won't check it...

It has nothing to do with your settings on the phone. When the sim card is loaded into the phone, the phone automatically downloads the network settings for both data and sms. Ask your provider to sent you the mms/data settings manually and they will send you by sms. Install and it should be okay already. However, for your case I would suspect your telco hasn't activated your data plan for you on their side or second scenario would be you have to ask them to manually reset their data port for your line on their side.

My usage is just like you. I've got 30 apps and only 1 game (COC) and 309 photos at this point of time.
I've got around 6gb left so definitely it is usable. The only problem is when you wanna update.
But I think you can just backup all into PC and update from there. Slightly more hassle but iOS dont update all the time so it's ok.

I find myself using the plus very often now. Some people find it big, but i find it OK. Can't do 1 hand though. Now I'll watch you tube on my wireless headphone while on the treadmill because the screen is big enough.

Ya, that is another consideration, my son used to ask me to put all his videos inside... Hi-5, Wiggles, etc. Completely drained my 16GB iPhone 4 storage previously... Ha ha...

I've been monitoring and calculating statistics on the battery. Obsessed... 😅 Based on my usage and about 3 sample sizes for calculation I estimate the battery to be draining at a rate of an average of 8.8% per hour for the iphone 6.

So you can use this value to decide when to charge

Got bro. my 1st Gen iPhone. Bought on 20/04/2008 - still works today!
Only the mute switch starting to give problems - it's made of plastic unlike the current gen iPhones.

Even my iPhone 4 still works with some minor problems (sleep/wake button stuck, Home button replaced once).



Photo taken on the day I bought it, the screen that I saw online (photos and video) made me fall in love with the iPhone back then.

That's why I decided to go back to iPhone after my Note 2 died in less than 2 years. Even more reason was the bigger screen and battery size.

So far my iDevices are doing a good job doing the Bee Gees
