Finally have time to set up my 6 plus which I received earlier. First impression coming from 5S, not as smooth response and its huge. Battery life feels damn good as well! Next up is why Apple didn't introduce the iPad gestures here 😝 can avoid using the the TouchID much avoiding wear and tear without a floating ball around.

Apple doesnt brag on their camera capabilities but they simply come out top notch....unlike some other brands which openly claim that their camera is the best, but produces mediocre quality pics

Most people I know are not willing to buy from the Apple Store. That's because of the warranty claim which can only be done from the Store via courier.

If buy from Telco or APR, you can just bring back to them for a 1 to 1 exchange in person until satisfied.

A Telco set is best as there's the price subsidy with a plan plus the 1 to 1 warranty claim in person.

If one takes the  iValue Plan for one year for a Plus 64gb say, that's a RM620 or 20% "discount" to retail for one very hot phone. That's why there's the mad rush for Telco sets everywhere in the world.

The 1 to 1 exchange is also a "delusion" for Apple Store warranty claims then. The Store will send a refurbished "plain box" replacement via courier. If you have problems with the replacement, it's the same process again - you lodge claim; wait for courier to collect from set from you; you wait (wait time same as ordering a new set, now 3 to 4 weeks); and finally courier arrives with replacement set. If ok, kaw tim. If not, more to-and-fro couriering till you're happy.

With Telcos, you can just walk into any shop, and seek a replacement, and follow up with Customer Service. Whether the service sucks or rocks, depends all on your charm lol.  The Telcos will have standby replacement sets even on Launch Day itself.

The Telcos also receive, and have priority over APRs, the most sets from Apple because of the Telcos huge sales volume. Therefore the chances of receiving a replacement set is much faster with a Telco compared to the Store and APRs particularly if you're a priority customer.

International warranty is a moot point if one's living in Msia. But assuming one bought a set from Apple Store Msia, and one's in Melbourne say with a defective set, the Store will still insist they collect the set from you from your Msian address, and courier the replacement to that same address to safeguard against fraud. So you'll have to be back in Msia to initiate the warranty claim process.

Above said, it's not that Apple Store purchases are not good. It's just that the warranty claim and follow-up process is very, very mafun (troublesome).

The only reason most people would buy from a Telco would be because they already need a phone plan so they want the subsidies. Anyone who has dealt with Apple's customer service before knows they are much better than our telco's customer service (of course, I am speaking from my own experience, and based on majority of what I've been reading on most forums).

Previously I didn't buy subsidised phones, but realize how painful it is when the time comes for me to sell off the phone, coz of the resale value, particularly for Androids... So now I prefer to sign a contract coz I need a plan anyway, and even if it's the lowest plan a little subsidy is better than no subsidy.

But I choose not to fight for stocks or participate in long queues anymore, and I also don't see a point in harrasing the telcos' CS and bringing up cases to tribunals (really?)...

Guys, especially those using iPhone 6. How's the battery life? I'm not really a heavy user but my WeChat, WhatsApp and Facebook must be left running in background. Besides, I also surf net and stream some short Facebook or YouTube videos.

Roughly how long can your battery last with how long usage?

I know iPhone 6+ has much longer battery life but I cannot convince myself to get a phone >RM 3k (64GB)... In addition, it is thin but the size is big, so I feel not that good in my grip. I have been using Note II previously and Note 3 now, so the size is not a problem but just that 6+ is too thin...

I hope I won't regret of buying iPhone 6, instead of 6+...

6+. Im using htc one now. 6 is like my htc size now. Initially all my ip5 frens asked me to get 6 coz 6+ is too big for my small palm. So i went to Digi n epi to confirm.  6+ no doubt is my choice.👍

i like casing which two in one without giving any bulky, such as lifeproof which slim and got build in screen

defender ok but quite bulky. it should be the last option for me.

my preferable: lifeproof (most of the time), lunatik (gonna try this time), otterbox defender (will try to avoid it if got chances), element case (the last resort) and ultra hybrid (the best among slimmest case)
