people who put on tempered glass screen protectors, do you notice if the touch sensitivity is reduced?

i've got one on (got it at pasar malam) and somehow i feel that touching and tapping seem less reliable, i've not really used my iphone 6 without the screen protector so i can't compare before and after

While I do not yet have an iPhone 6, I experienced the same loss of touch sensitivity at first after installing a tempered glass screen protector on my kid's iPad Mini Retina. But over time, I found that it has normalized, ha ha..

How thick is the glass screen protector you installed? (in mm)
*
i assume 0.3mm, got it at pasar malam and didn't bother checking the details heh.

hmm, so that's one downside of having it...

been using the iPhone 6 for more than a week now, so far i'm not impressed with the battery life.
not really using it heavily and it's down to 20% in less than 10 hours.

Don't be fool by the Standby Time of less than 10 hours... It's the Usage Time that counts. It's just that you use your phone more often in a day than some other people in 2 days...

...
*
I know that, but depleting the battery with only 6hrs of usage time (and about 10hrs of total time) which isn't heavy is arguably not good. I wasn't doing any gaming but only normal messaging, web browsing, Facebook etc

QUOTE(attw @ Nov 17 2014, 10:00 PM)
Somebody posted earlier that Usage Time is not equivalent to Screen On Time for Android,  if I'm not mistaken. Would be good if it is, then I would say 5 hours more than adequate for me.
*
it's not, I listen to podcasts with the screen off and it counts as usage time

iPhone 6 battery life. Yes iPhone 6. Not 6 plus.

the best i can get on 6,

usage: 8 hours 18 minutes
standby: 1 day 19 hours
*
i have no idea how you guys managed that, mine dies in 10 hours with 6 hours of normal usage, i've even turned off background app refresh. the only anomaly i can think of is i've got a lot of mailboxes.

Anyway, anyone else have problem using AirDrop with their Mac and iPhone 6 ? It used to work fine. I don't know if it is iOS or OS X problem because my Mac or iPhone can’t seem to detect each other anymore even if I set both to everyone.
*
takes a longass time for them to detect each other, by the time they detect i would've been able to upload to dropbox and sync across lol.

I get why we put cases on the iphone , so we sacrifice a little time molesting the naked chassis of the phone during our day to day use.

I do draw the line however, at sacrificing usability and even going so far as to enable an ugly accessibility button that obscures our view of the graphical user interface just so we don't "wear down" the phone's home button too much. Who's the master here? The phone, or us as the consumer?
*
i don't like using the home button, it's harder to reach given the bigger size and it's kinda hard to click.
i'm considering jailbreaking just to add a virtual home button

No need to Jailbreak it to have the virtual home button.
All you need to do is to set the "AssistiveTouch" to "ON" in Settings>General>Accessibility>AssistiveTouch>On. Simple as that.
Or you can even customise the Accessibility Shortcut with Triple-Click The Home Button For: AssistiveTouch to activate it.
*
i knew that, it's not good enough, a virtual home button is much much better than tapping twice to access it.

The problem is often we charge overnight. It's not a good idea but sometimes cannot help it.

If you had this habit just plug in a timer adapter to cut off current flow after say 3-4 hours
*
but why? thought nowadays the chargers will just stop charging once reach 100%?

is there any way to check MLC or TLC without jailbreaking the phone ? i often use my phone to access my bank app , so i cannot go jailbreak, wont .
*
jailbreaking clashes with bank apps? can you elaborate? i'm thinking of jailbreaking but not certain what the implications are.

QUOTE(Seng_Kiat @ Dec 1 2014, 08:57 PM)
You will forget as soon as you hold your iphone... you will love as soon as you see the retina display .. biggrin.gif
*
but the display isn't as sharp as other high-end android phones. one thing i dislike about the iphone 6 is i wish it's got a higher ppi, can still notice the pixels eg when you look at the reception dots, when looking at my friend's oppo find 7 can see that it has a much sharper display, really can't distinguish the pixels even very close-up.

and i'm not impressed with my iphone 6's battery life, i don't think i use it heavily, refer to the attached screenshot, however i think the usage time isn't accurate as i think i've used more than that.
