Got bro. my 1st Gen iPhone. Bought on 20/04/2008 - still works today!
Only the mute switch starting to give problems - it's made of plastic unlike the current gen iPhones.

Even my iPhone 4 still works with some minor problems (sleep/wake button stuck, Home button replaced once).



Photo taken on the day I bought it, the screen that I saw online (photos and video) made me fall in love with the iPhone back then.

That's why I decided to go back to iPhone after my Note 2 died in less than 2 years. Even more reason was the bigger screen and battery size.

So far my iDevices are doing a good job doing the Bee Gees

So far I only have 3 videos for my 6 month old boy:
1) Twinkle Twinkle Little Star
2) Maxis Ohhsome Prepaid tv commercial (he loves the tune) for some reason
3) Pensonic tv commercial starring Amber Chia (I dunno if he's into Amber or the music or the visual effects of that video). Definitely mesmerized when watching it

I love the Space Grey. I sacrificed capacity for color

OT: I listen to many genres of music except metal. Country also was excluded but some are still "acceptable". Not too country though ... I'm more into R&B, Hip Hop, maybe some trance/house/whatever it's called these days. Music by artists like Chicane.

OT: thanks for the tip. This is only when he cries and needs to be pacified. So far have kept it about 30cm from his face. Also out of his arm's reach as he's at that grabbing phase now.

Sorry. I may not have been specific. I meant for mobile/iOS. Sometimes want to resize pics but Photo App can only crop. Same with another app I use - Skitch.

Guess it's been like this since iOS 7. Everything must be "transparent" I guess. Prefer the old look of iOS too.

Been looking for hi-red wallpapers. Loving the preinstalled wallpaper of the purple flower.

But wondering if I should keep this ... in line with my Space Grey and "Dark" look of my overall phone and casing ...

Nope. Not Zedge. Some unknown app. Probably that's why it crashed. I had Zedge in my iPhone 4. Time to install it again and see what's new.

So far this is the only time I had my phone crash and restart. Not sure if it's a normal restart cause it seemed to reboot quite quickly. Apple logo appeared for a couple of seconds. Weird.

Actually I guess it depends on what you want. My 6+ is unplugged about 7am +- and I tried re first couple of days of owning it testing the battery.

I can reach home just barely scraping by with 16% left.



My usage pattern is that when I'm at home, I don't charge my phone until I call it a day, which is before I go to sleep about 11:00/11:30 pm. I still need some juice at home to browse etc. while watching TV etc.

So my current practice is to charge in the office when my battery reaches about 50% or so.

Story from my friend scares me. His iPhone 5S got fried using car charger. Branded one too. I believe he was using a Belkin USB car charger. Maybe have to consider a power bank for 6 Plus too?!?!

Probably the output for the car battery sometimes fluctuates and with such high wattage, it might cause power surges. I'm no engineer, can someone verify?

My work-related says that previous production output was 70% (6) vs 30% (6 Plus). According to the article, it's supposed to be adjusted to 55:45.

Probably shortage in the market for the Plus due to that. Too bad I'm not able to find official sources in my research.

Actually when I was using my sister's phone with iOS 6.x, there was this problem too.

And my iPhone 4 on iOS 7.x also had this problem.

I also noticed another irritation when using Whatsapp. When typing, the assistive touch button would be "pushed" to the top of the screen where I'd normally have it in the middle right. Sometimes it stays there at the top, sometimes it floats up for awhile, then goes back to original position.

Quite irritating and it only happens with Whatsapp. For other apps, it's a good girl and does what I tell it to: which is to stay where she's supposed to stay.

Another thing, I think it was promoted that you can reply messages from anywhere from the top Notification bar. Not sure if this applies to iMessage only cause I can't do it for Whatsapp. Maybe not fixed yet.

I can only click on the bar to shortcut me to Whatsapp. I think it works for Facebook Messenger although I didn't get to test it much.
