Bro check your pm. Thank you Added on October 13, 2012, 2:40 pmBro. What's your copter size? 450mm? 550mm? Any significant difference in terms of price between the 450 and 550? I mean in overall, the motor, esc and battery. Thanks This post has been edited by edwardc: Oct 13 2012, 02:40 PM |

bigger size means bigger everything ... motors batteries ESCs etc etc
oso means bigger $$$ on the other hand u would be looking at bigger payload .. possibly longer flight times with less payload the size is actually the diameter of the copter ... the center being the CG and the motors being the radius my copter is customed .. 470mm diameter using 8x4.5inch props ... 1100kv motors AUW is close to 1KG ... flight time apprx 6mins with 2200mah 3S |

Yes, I am thinking of letting go my quad as well.
Asking for RM500 with the following setup: 1.) CF quad frame 450 size. 2.) SK motor from HobbyKing. 3.) KK+ controller red board. 4.) Turnigy 18A plush ESC. 5.) 8 LED strips attached to the body and night flying is not a problem for sure. But a little bit scare to send through shipment, got anyone COD in Penang/Ipoh? Cut the story short, i managed to get it down by using long stick. Btw, it seems that the second blade which is the bottom one doesn't turn anymore. Duno can be repair or not.. If kenot i will be getting this instead. Think the quality will be much better than that. This post has been edited by adriankhoo153: Nov 22 2012, 08:16 AM |

Looking for a simple, easy to fly, no maintenance, slow flying RC plane to burn some stress during my break. The best so far was the silverlit palm z, use to fly it in my office room. v911 is by far one of the most durable learning single rotor heli
great as a stress reliever ... charge the battery using your USB port at PC i have crashed it on purpose into a wall (not very high speed la of coz) at about 10ft high ... crash into wall ... i never even walked over to pick up the heli just throttle a little till the heli sits up and then straightaway fly back .. hahahaha Added on November 29, 2012, 9:10 pm QUOTE(eehtsitna @ Nov 28 2012, 08:40 AM) Guys! But now i am using the turningy ones here (in the plastic)the connector doesnt looks like that^^ Added on December 19, 2012, 3:30 amv929 is very good quadcopter i myself bought 2, and all friends around me also bought this but i experienced a lot that cannot balance after few crash, not because unbalance prop, but due to the board problem(the most expensive part to change) but all in all, it is a good helicopter if you are good luck(crash for many times and still flying ) Added on December 19, 2012, 3:33 am bro QiW, can you guide me to build a quadcopter on my own please want to know what parts that i need, and where can i get them cheap. want to lift a camera(maybe) and what is the best 4 channel helicopter? i have v911, and that is too slow for me, anything that is faster than that? thank you^^ For longer air time. Yeah i suffer the same board problem. Changed it to a new board for 45 bucks and it is flying rock solid. Thinking of getting another setup so that i can make it into this |

I've got myself a V911 too over the Christmas Weekend
Just a question, do we still need to do the swash plate leveling for the v911? I still find it not really flying stable enough. (can't go hands free). Could that due to the stock Radio or just user problem |

a module is the attachment behind those radios that are removable
u can change system from turnigy to dsm2 to flysky without changing the whole radio ... just change the module but of coz u will need to change the receivers to the ones compatible with your module la the module is the "thing" that converts standard ppm signal from your radio to the proprietary modulation of that module (dsm2 dsmx fasst flysky frsky etc etc) |

"turbo" mode is probably just a fancy gimmick, but i think if trex100 has that mode, it's just the same. |

Hi guys. I posted a thread in the audiophiles section regarding the battery for my MP3 player. From what I researched, it seems like the battery used is similar to RC models. Maybe a little help?

Would it damage the player, or should I stick to the 250? in terms of circuitry, a circuit will only draw as much power as it needs (as in amps). more mah simply means the batt will last longer, no damage what so ever. over voltage however, is dangerous. 1000mah lipos are fairly big though, so you might want to check fitting. here's a sample(with measurement):About the connections, I prefer to just purchase the battery, then go to my local electronic shop and ask them to solder it for me. the honeybee control board has receiver and gyro built in together
u have to separate the receiver section from the gyro section then re-wire the new receiver into gyro section .. yes it will work but modification work is needed .. http://www.rcgroups.com/forums/showpost.ph...&postcount=8274 http://www.rcgroups.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1034297 |

Guyyssss, I'm in need of help.
I have the Align T-REX 700 Nitro model with a 7 channel JR PROPO XG7 controller. I've assembled and flew it for the initial test flight, just to see it working so hovering it slightly above ground is enough for the time being. Thing is, I'm planning on adding additional servo for FPV and etc. I'm totally new and this is definitely gonna sound like a noob question so bear with me How do I actually switch to other remaining/spare channel aside from the rudder, elevator, aileron, and throttle? Been cracking my brain but I still can't figure it out. Hope Sifus in here can help. |

![]() Hai, everyone... I just bought this few weeks ago. Been flying and crashing for a few times. Can anyone here recommend a suitable RC plane flying site around KLANG. The only place I can find is the park in Pandamaran, its huge like 4 football field size. But its quite occupied with footballers in the weekend morning and evenings, only time its safe to fly is week day mornings. Another thing I would like to ask is,I sought of loss control or had only intermittent control of my plane last week after flying 20 minutes. I landed the plane and changed the planes lipo battery which was newly charged. But then it happened not long after take off. It crashed into a tree and managed to get it down. The radio's battery indicator was still green and when I went nearer I could still control all the control surfaces. Is this a sign that the plane went out of the radio's range??? |

hey guys. suddenly interested in this RC heli hobby. what you guys reckon a beginner buy? i've heard that more expensive ones with powerful motors are easier to fly due to their better power-to-weight ratio.
also, are gas-powered RC helis still available? might be interested in those too. budget 4-5k. and my aim is to build a nice heli with Airwolf fuselage (with all the bells and whistles like retractable landing gear, etc). hope sifu can shed some light on what to get and the recommended shops. i've so far heard of Hobbysportz Paradigm Mall and RC Smart Amcorp Mall. I'm from PJ area myself btw. cheers. |

IC powered or electric bigger is better coz its is less sensitive and handles wind better bigger is oso much more expensive ... unless u go the IC way IC = internal combustion .. u will need to know how to tune the engine well in order for it to operate well bad tuning normally results in poor power and engine shut down during flight i myself is an electric guy so cannot help u in the IC dept ... electric is just plug and play but batteries has higher cost in the long run your remaining 2k+ ... (if u choose to go the electric way) i would choose either a 450 size to be cost effective a decent 450 would be slightly less than 1k 300-400 for budget batts and charger (high end chargers cost much more) scale body apprx 300-700 depending on your choice thats almost 2k spent since u are starting from nothing ... and no RC experience with helis i suggest u keep the remaining balance of your budget for repairs and parts get a simulator to practice ... this way u can learn alot while crashing less then practice and practice more when u feel confident enuff ... put the scale body onto the heli good luck !!! |

Hi guys,
I'm new to this forum but have already flown several 4 ch FP helis like V911, mjx f45, v929 etc. Im starting to go with multirotors route, maybe aerial photography and FPV next. Recently I just ordered Walkera UFO MX400S (RTF and its just look sleek and nice). Anyone here have flown and deal with this model before? Any advice or tip would be very helpful since there are not many reviews or videos about this model on the internet. Thanks |

That's true. I guess im just lazy to build my own. Can you recommend any affordable multirotor kit with local support? I heard DJI NAZA has one of the best multirotor kit.

Now I need to find myself a shop to shop for the stuff. Any recommended ones? Is RC Smart (Amcorp Mall) or Hobbysportz (Paradigm Mall) better? Also, most likely will go for Futaba 8FG as you recommended. Mind to list what are the recommended exact parts to get for it (like which 450 model, and which batteries and charger, I don't mind to spend more for batteries as I'm a fan of really long flight times)? Or should I ask the shop to recommend to me? Cheers bro! QUOTE(kodox @ Apr 5 2013, 03:31 PM) Would like to know as well. |

i have not been to hobbysportz in a long time ... but not cheap la i know
rcsmart may have more choices ... and maybe slightly better prices i get most of my rc stuff online .. even my batteries now there is a very competitive local seller ... myrccorner.com.my ... i think his 450 heli and lipo batts are price very competitively dunno if he sells radio (8FG) .. |

Slapshock, you prefer cycling and I prefer "diving" nowadays. Not much words to say in the forum without you
I am back to Walkera now. The V120D02S is getting me poison again into the micro heli world. |

Don't like the radio and motor driven tail blade. Brushed motor also, am I right?
A lot of my friends are playing this V120D02S, much more durable than 4G6/4G6S. Crashed the heli at least 5 times but only broken the landing skid and 2 tail gears. Never changed my feathering and main shaft because it is not bent at all (but I crash on the field lah instead of concrete or tarmac). There was once I tried to cut grass but the heli sucked up by the grass, wahahahahhahahah. The BNF heli can be purchased around RM510 from HK including shipping. For WK 2801 Pro radio, you just need to add one adapter to control those Devo series heli like this one and the adapter only cost you around RM70. Where is Slapshock? Is this how a fireman behaving by starting a fire and then sneaking away? |

I got myself a v911 type helicopter and all I do when I try to fly it, is crash it. So I got myself a bigger heli (V-max) but that crashed on the very first flight (into the neighbor's roof) and cannot fly properly, it just keeps rotating on the ground. I have changed the stabilizer bar, had to resolder the wire and change other parts on the v911.
I'm thinking, this r/c helicopter hobby is not for everybody. Even hovering indoors takes so much of an effort and only to crash it. I think I'm giving up on this as I'm not going anywhere. Or maybe I'll try the FPV type flying. Any comments or suggestions are appreciated. Thank you. |

QUOTE I too, taught myself to fly. Got started in 2011. Practiced flying on simulator for months before flying an actual airplane. My first plane was an electric C182 foamy by ST Model. Got the RTF one with a China-made radio. On the first flight it dawned on me how different real world is to flying in the simulator. In the simulator there's very little depth perception unlike real world, so your eyes kinda get used to staring at the model all the time and you need to retrain yourself to rely on peripheral vision. Anyway my first flights were not so good, my landings were hard and I constantly had issues with the nosewheel of the plane (the plane was a scale plane, not built with beginners in mind, my mistake ). The final straw was when the motor threw a magnet and the C182 has never been flown since. I never had problems with CG or with putting parts together (the foamies are simple enough to begin with), coming from an aeronautics background (I'm an aero-engineering final year student, did my homework on electric flight as well). Over the months I practiced a lot more in the sim and moved on to better and bigger planes (all foam so far) I can now fly simple aerobatics and do proper take offs and landings (as in scale-like take offs, not jumping off the ground and gentle touch-down-on-the-main-wheels landings). Got myself computer radios as well, the DX6i and Futaba 6J. I think I can now call myself a semi-beginner, still a lot to learn 'cause I've only been flying on-and-off, like every three months whenever I'm away from uni on breaks. Last month got my first balsa ARF kit, planning to put it together after graduating. Wish me luck. You can teach yourself to fly, as long as you're prepared to at least learn how planes fly, to invest in a good simulator and spend endless hours practicing in said simulator and to always keep safety in mind. I fly alone all the time, never had anyone coaching me. Mind you, while the simulator is an indispensible tool, it's only good to train your orientation, it can never replace depth perception in 3-dimensional world, wind in your hair, turbulence, the heat, dust grass etc etc in the real world. Bottom line is, it is very possible to teach yourself to fly/belajar terbang sendiri.. Quoted from a bro at Rc forum name mazz738 This post has been edited by babyandy: Apr 21 2013, 02:10 AM |

zeroglyph,
I think the problem I have with LOS flying is that I'm not good at orientation and unless you are just going forward (away from you) it is never a constant. I find that particularly hard. It is also easier to launch it with my hands than from the floor. That only makes the helicopter spin around on the ground. I more or less rectified it as there was a strand of hair stuck in between the tail rotor and it couldn't spin as it should causing the whole helicopter to spin. It still spins but it can be controlled better. That's why I thought FPV flying maybe a better choice and I can get an AR Drone for about $1100+. infrasonic, Actually, I've been trying for more than 3 months (maybe 10 days flight of 20 min each). I've crashed it more than 20 times per flight (in that short time it is in the air: 5 to 15 seconds). The stabilizer bar broke after it got entangled with my blanket.I thought this will be marginally more difficult than r/c cars but the difference is significant. babyandy, Thanks a lot bro. I'll sure check out the link for any tips and locate a flying field with some experts near my house. BTW I also tried/use an android based simulator. |

QUOTE(zamorin @ Apr 22 2013, 09:48 AM) zeroglyph, LOS orientation experience can only be gained thru practice (whether SIMULATOR or real life)I think the problem I have with LOS flying is that I'm not good at orientation and unless you are just going forward (away from you) it is never a constant. BTW I also tried/use an android based simulator. orientations is practically the bane of this hobby. you just need to get use to it. which is why you 1st need to learn to hover tail-in(heli tail facing you). you should only starts different orientation after you can hover in tail-in with muscle memory. as in you don't have to think about it anymore. this is so that if you panicked in some other orientation, you can always go back to tail-in in a heart beat. then only starts forward flight, circles, figure 8 and what not. i came from RC heli sim games, so yeah, i too have orientation problems in the beginning, but getting more confident nowadays. 911 are pretty stable, i could hover it in mode 2 even though i'm only used to mode 1. so it should no pose much threat. the easy thing to do is to reposition yourself to tail-in everytime the heli changed direction, that how i practice. |

QiW,zeroglyph,
Thanks bros, for all your advices. I think the first time you try r/c flying, you tend to think you are a hero. Especially when the box advertise "Ready to fly". The big heli I bought went from ground to my neighbours house in a single finger action. I didn't get to do anything else. I'm going to try hovering for now. |

QUOTE(zamorin @ Apr 24 2013, 03:50 PM) QiW,zeroglyph, yup...its all in the word RTF. But at same time it can be either...RTF for both heli and flyer or RTF in terms of that you need no other components and that particular heli is really ready to be flown out of the box regardless whether we as flyer are already ok, still learning or a 1st timer. Most of us can learn to fly with or without sims. So...take it one at a time...good luck bro. Thanks bros, for all your advices. need a little verification here in regards to FPV flights. the basic things you would need for this would be:
1. a camera(duh!): this needs to be able to output the video to a screen (like tv or something). any camera will do as long as it can output the recorded video(i.e: what it sees). 2. a video tx: this will basically take the video output from the cam and transmit it wirelessly 3. a video rx: the will receive the signal from the tx and in turn, output it to something else 4. display unit: this will receive the video from the video rx and display it. can be either an LCD unit, a goggle or whatever that can receive the signal. am i getting this correctly? obviously the interfaces which these devices connects to each other needs to be considered, right? not likely it'll be standardized. |

typically .. the specs includes weight eg. this one http://www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/store/_...ransmitter.html weighs 25gm ... but thats without antenna and wires attached laa some like this one http://www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/store/_...amera_NTSC.html comes in a casing ... that casing oso acts as heatsink but the casing is super heavy ... can be removed .. u will need to make a lighter fin type heatsink for it la |

anyone has any experience with KDS 450QS RTF? seems like a great choice for my next flyer. not too much into 3D, just need something that's really an outdoor flyer and that's bigger than a HBFP.

Its really not as easy as it seems. I crashed mine real bad on the first few flight. |

Its been 4 months and I'm still flying the same plane, with some additional glue and tape and carbon fibre reinforcement every time it crashes. |

crashes are pretty much as frequent as charging in the beginning. and it doesn't end there.
so to save yourself the pain, get something that's crash resilient to train with. as much plastic parts as possible. plastics are cheaper to replace. it's not hard, thus it can break to save the other more expensive parts. a plastic heli rotor head > metal ones for training |

QUOTE(zerouzer @ Jul 28 2013, 12:59 PM) just got my v913.. still working on getting it to hover without moving sideways.. fun generally, when you require more throttle to hover than usual, it's time to stop flying and recharge. those beepers works too, if you have room to mount 'em.is there a way to check how much battery is left on the heli? or at least indications like harder to control etc? also what happens if the heli runs out of range? if say i put it on forward, then out of range will it continue going forward, or will it stop and just hover? QUOTE(FourZeroFour @ Aug 2 2013, 09:38 AM) depends on what you're running. obviously a brushless motor can run a bit longer than a brushed. also bigger batt capacity = longer flight. most stock 2 cell lipos heli could go 6-10mins. 3 cells lipos could go up to 12mins. most of the time, the concern is overheating motor(s) & overheating battery. helis requires constant power draw, this puts loads on the batt thus heating it up. and i'm sure most people know how dangerous a lipo can be when hot(cheap ones can downright goes bloated and explodes). try running a 15C lipo on any type of Extreme brushed motors for just 6mins |

sad to say i crashed the heli (~4-5m dive) after hitting a phone pole.. initial damage was minimal.. just had to reattach aileron/elevator arms to the servo. then the tail motor died.. seems the tail shaft bent from the crash.. now waiting for replacement motor to arrive

QUOTE(Chongster @ Sep 27 2013, 02:16 PM) Anyone still flying the Honey Bee FP? I am thinking of giving up on mine. i'm on a v2. could use the spare parts. parts are pretty scarce nowadays. i plan to keep mine flying(love the thing). PM me the deal. probably your motor(s) and/or 4-in-1 is busted. or that ring-like-o-rod on the main rotor is broken. the HB is pretty simple to figure out. usually if it won't take off, it's something to do with the rotor head. |

RC Aerial footage over Putrajaya Wetland There were a few other RC hobbyist there, but I was a bit shy la... Low altitude filming of other people flying their RC planes, not very successful. I think I'll leave the low altitude filming to Copters... lol Try identifying the other RC model on film... Not so clear cause vibration making it a bit blur |

QUOTE(mbax @ Dec 11 2013, 03:46 PM) guys, due to the law of physics and mechanics, any heli is harder to fly than a plane. the hard part with planes are the landings only. need advice, between this V911 RC copter and this cheap RC plane which one will be easier to fly? will get this as gift to my 12yr nephew. as long as your nephew has the space, the plane will be way easier. hi guys,
I am interested to get a quadcopter for Aerial photography purpose. Any recommendations on something that would be good for a Hero3? Budget below 1k if possible. I also have little experience doing RC flying, so something easy to fly or durable would be good. |

Filmed with 808 #16 Lens D camera, on an AXN Floater glider with Frsky module and FS-TH9X transmitter Sebana Cove, Johor It was a run down and neglected 5 star hotel + yacht club few years ago. Until recently it was acquired by IJM and a complete interior renovation have been carried out. An overnight stay cost RM280 for 2 and is well worth the price as it also offers fresh air, a serene environment and some small wildlife. There was some strong winds as it was near the sea and I didn't dare to fly too long as it was gradually picking up. The plane was stationary in the sky going against the wind at half throttle, and I usually cruise at half throttle. One test flight and another Aerial recording flight and I called it a day. Didn't have my laptop around so didn't realised the beautiful scenery that was captured. If I knew, I would brave any storm to continue filming and flying till all my batteries were drained. PS, One 2200mAh 3s pack can provide 20 minutes of flight time. And I had 3...T_T |

Recently, there has been an increase in RC flying in Malaysia. Several are simply hobbyists while some are commercial purposes.
It's important to highlight the efficient uses of these unmanned aerial vehicles/systems/platforms popularly known as drones. * Search and Rescue * Aerial Cinematography and Photography * Remote observation of towers, bridges, masts (hard or costly to reach places for maintenance) * Aerial Video Coverage of Sporting Events, Protests, human movements * Tactical Surveillance (help law enforcement is data acquisition) * GIS survey and Mapping * Accident Investigation * ETC..... Let us not be confused by the US military drones being used in combat theaters. We are more interested in discussing about any unmanned aerial system that could be used to improve civilian lives, and services. This thread is also open for comments and discussion on safe usage and privacy issues in regards to these machines. |

QUOTE(zeroglyph @ Mar 13 2014, 09:35 AM) I guess so though my purpose was not to reintroduce the thread but to seek to create some kind of awareness that we all could actually band together to form a more vibrant community of pilots, flyers, controllers, (whatever name one chooses), etc. The community could then grow and mature in ways that beat simple cyber-hangouts such as these. Not that i don't like it. I do understand that many of us have our different fly groups and areas where each prefers to fly but imagine if most of us could actually come together and fly; like a RC festival or something. we could also be able to become a force for positive change in the minds of people about these unmanned aerial platforms and the immerse advantages they bring in a whole lot of sectors. |

My very first quad-copter flight and video. Pardon my shaky decent guys. My apparent lack of piloting skill and the strong wind at high altitude contributed to the shaky vidz.

QUOTE(ocz @ Mar 18 2014, 11:16 AM) Any recommendations on where to get a DJI Phantom FC40 in the Klang Valley area? I've seen one or two eg March but they're advertising the FC40 at RM1799. Thinking of getting that plus the iPad Ground Station for some waypoint capability.Alternatively I could probably build my own with a F450 too but I'm not sure I want to go that route since my previous experience is mostly toy quads. |

hi;
anyone has experienced the Walkera V400D02? thinking of upgrading from my HBFPv2 to a CP, but don't really want to go to a full size 450 and all that fancy(complicated) stuff. not really into 3D flying either, just want something that can handle a bit more wind. some questions comes to mind: 1. i'm sure it'll fly the same as my HB(normal flight), but how does the "flybarless" system change the flight characteristics? 2. seems it runs on a 380 motor, would the xtreme motor upgrades for the honey bee works for it as well(also direct tail drive)? 3. it would be about the same size as a HBFPv2, right? |

You won't say a Toyota is a ripoff of Mercedes just because they both have four wheels. When they both perform the same function. Just one slightly better then the other. If your just starting into this RC hobby, I would advise you to prepare for crashes. You might be able to afford the Quad now, but try looking into how much the replacement parts cost, like the propellers, batterys, landing gears. Especially the propellers... Just my opinion and advice. I'm into fixed wing only and I have a small budget. |

I'm into fixed wing only and I have a small budget. hobbyking that u suggested there listed it at 659 usd (~rm2150) not including shipping+ taxes and you still have to buy your own gopro that's another 1.2k. For that kind of price I might as well get the phantom2 locally with the added advantage of having peace of mind in case need to repair or claim warranty. what do you mean by fixed wing? do you own a x350 pro already? |

QUOTE(sya_cd @ Apr 11 2014, 04:18 PM) oops my bad I checked the x350 not x350 PRO. Granted the x350 PRO is much better than its predecessor but tbh it costs more than phantom1 so you cant really say it's cheaper. Price difference for the whole unit in comparison, Walkera is only cheaper by a few hundred. But the price of replacement parts, hobbyking that u suggested there listed it at 659 usd (~rm2150) not including shipping+ taxes and you still have to buy your own gopro that's another 1.2k. Walkera battery cost about RM150 and DJI cost RM520 same capacity battery. Props for Walkera a pair is about RM10 and DJI is about RM55 a pair. Gimbal for Walkera is 2D and for DJI vision is just 1D. I don't think any of our RC equipment comes with any form of warranty... Foam airplanes = fixed wing... I was seriously considering to start on multirotor, but exceed my budget la. For now... |

Na... Sample of my noob aerial filming...
Its filmed with a plane, so don't expect it to stay static. Haha... Next step for me is FPV... If you've never really played RC before, I suggest you do some practice on simulators. So as to improve your orientation skills, so you won't crash the real thing as much. Multirotor crashes aren't cheap, especially with DJI. There are free ones if you're using an android phone. Just go to google play store and search for 'RC Simulator'. The helicopter ones should be the closes thing to multirotor. And I think majority of the RC enthusiast uses Mode 1 on their radio transmitter. There is a lot of other info in youtube also, search under 'Flitetest' and 'RCmodelreviews' This post has been edited by radver: Apr 12 2014, 11:16 AM |

wanna learn something new and save some money ??
build your own quad ... a cheap one will cost less than rm500 excluding radio and battery costs and it is capable of lifting a gopro without gimbal there are cheap options and expensive options when u build your own so everything is entirely up to u for eg. my 4 motors alone costs more than a complete axn cloudsfly but there are even motors that are much more expensive at the same time there are oso motors that are about half the price of mine majority of world champion level fliers uses mode 2 |

Its already on the way in the mail... I'm flying with Frsky... Guarantee no signal loss. I fly quite high also... Enough space and time to recover. If I do fly low, it would be over a field... |

I think you need to double the budget to even be able to built a cheap one yourself. Those that come ready to fly aren't cheap. At least 4 digit I would say |

My attempt at cloud surfing...
Lost site of the plane in my first attempt and saw it coming back down in a death spiral. Manage to get it back up with some elevator and throttle. This is my second attempt... Rain clouds are heavier and so they are the lowest clouds... |

That was at least a good 70~80m away from me and 4 storeys high. Thank god i managed to find it back, with no damage couldn't land it by the time i hit 40~m away from me as there are thick, thick bushes between where i was and the apartment block... so yeah, if you have a v911, buy some spares especially the flybar and also do not fly in windy weather. And when you think you can fly against the wind, you really can't the V911 is also very good for direction training to upgrade to the V933. After around 10~ flights, I flew back my V933 and i can control it much, much better and at least this time i can hover for pretty long without crashing it QUOTE(radver @ May 1 2014, 09:49 AM) Trying to reach the clouds again. yours is an FPV rig or just normal camera mounted on a quad? sorry, noob in quads Reach a thick layer of smog instead. Frsky is the way to go...
Got range... Got stability... Cheap for such a good system... I'm using FSTH9X + Frsky module + Open 9X, best system ever... But with a few hundred bucks you can get a Taranis... For the price, I feel its more of a intermediate to advance system. If your not flying around urban areas, got place to fly like open fields, with the nearest house 2 to 3km away, then even Flysky system will be enough for beginner. But if flying in a field surrounded by houses or building, Frsky is the way to go... More option to expand also if you want telemetry in the future. Finally got my hands on the Fatshark Predator V2 googles 5.8 Ghz, paired with hobbyking cloverleave antenna Got around 2km range at Setia area, because less populated so less electronic interference. At my other flying site which is densely populated I only got about 500 meter plus range for the video signal. My 4th FPV flight, flew too close to the building and people at 5:00, lesson learned. Nearly crashed into the tower crane. Never going to fly so near anymore... |

has anyone heard of WL V911B?
V911 with a B on the model name what's the difference with it? online research tells nothing other than V911-1 as far as I know the RC shop above Paradigm Mall shows me a different smaller box package as well as the heli with fatter legs This post has been edited by power911: Jul 13 2014, 11:06 PM |

anyone here kind enough to help out with my project? i'm a newb starting off with this uni project of building a quadcopter (gps flying vehicle) that can fly autonomously. I need help for suggestions, parts, price, etc
I have bought some of my equipment which i'm not certain of its capability. APM 2.6 flight controller 30A ESC 920kv motors 9" propellers 3300mAH 4s battery price: RM1500 I still need a remote control and frame. remote atleast 6-9channel cheap ones i saw a flysky RM400 is it ok? and frame cost rm150 for 450mm (looking for weird frames as mentioned its for uni project which i dont want my lecturer to think that i bought a ready made quadcopter such as the dji F450) Any suggestions? |

i'm new to RC flying, and i would like to build a quadcopter for some learning and weekend flying
planning to build one that is expandable to octocopter so that when i get good with a quad i will move on and upgrade then mount my DSLR with a gimbal underneath it planning to get some parts from Rotorbits in Hobby King site so roughly how much budget i should be looking at if let's say i would like to build a medium size quad, then later upgrade to hexa or octo flight controller should be reusable with different programming and motor also can reuse right? |

if u build a simple frame just for flying around ... it costs less than rm10 for the frame
just dump the old one and build a new one when u upgrade ... hahaha most controllers that can fly a quad can handle an octo motors and escs ... just get another 4 of the same ones when u upgrade to octo from quad |
