do u have an aircraft that u think is suitable for FPV ??
if not u will have to include the cost of that aircraft ...
radio system ?? add radio system cost in if u do not have one already
then add in
video transmitter/receiver .. costs range from rm200-600 depending on specs
goggles/viewing screen ... costs range from rm100plus - rm few thousand depending on specs
camera .. costs range from rm60 - rm1k+ depending on what u want and specs

there are other optional things that some ppl put in FPV aircrafts
not necessary but some ppl just wants it for safety and redundacy
some wants it for bling2 ... hahahahaha

i have sold all my rc stuff except for my lama v3,my hk450 and my trex250. as much as i love flying i think this hobby does not give me any other benefuts other than enjoyments....

now im very active in mountainbiking scene, spend almost 10k for my mountainbike already and think this is really for me, it makes me healthy too.

but maybe one day, when i have the dough, i will do FPV... by that time, i hopr its a dirt cheap.

fly your 929 1st laa .. once u get used to it u can go to something bigger
normally bigger = more $$$

it is easier to just list your budget ... and what u already have and dont have ... so we can recommend u stuff to get

if u can fly the trex or BCP competently then u will not have a problem with multicopters

the multicopter FPV kakis current fav site is at air panas on weekends
coz there got obstacles and shade ... hahaha

bigger size means bigger everything ... motors batteries ESCs etc etc
oso means bigger $$$
on the other hand u would be looking at bigger payload .. possibly longer flight times with less payload

the size is actually the diameter of the copter ... the center being the CG and the motors being the radius

my copter is customed .. 470mm diameter
using 8x4.5inch props ... 1100kv motors
AUW is close to 1KG ... flight time apprx 6mins with 2200mah 3S

hehehe .... asking such general questions wont get answer in MRC la
u will need to list out a few choices ... and what u wanna do
and hopefully someone answers u laa ...
or start something and makes lots of mistakes and then ask for help ... hahahahaa

quadcopters are the absolutely easiest thing to learn ... besides planes la

u will need a radio controller no matter what u fly
then just get yourself a simulator ... goggle RC SIMULATOR and see if u can get the ehmm ehmmm versions
then make a choice of what u wanna learn to fly

then choose the aircraft according to your budget ...
try and find a group close to your location for more hands on info and guidance ...

I'm in Sarawak and the nearest group I know is in Miri ... About 300km away

Where does everyone get their models from? I've seen some in shops, but the quality is very questionable

Yes, I am thinking of letting go my quad as well.
Asking for RM500 with the following setup:

1.) CF quad frame 450 size.
2.) SK motor from HobbyKing.
3.) KK+ controller red board.
4.) Turnigy 18A plush ESC.
5.) 8 LED strips attached to the body and night flying is not a problem for sure.

But a little bit scare to send through shipment, got anyone COD in Penang/Ipoh?

v911 is the easiest single rotor heli to fly AFAIK ...
can handsfree it for quite a long time if no wind blowing

dunno when i will be going setapak again ... it is a random last minute thing for me

v911 ... best bang for buck and very resilient to crashes
as some has stated above .. rm99 from shop in puchong
of coz times square do sell this v911 and will cost more laa since they are operating in a higher cost location

most of the v911 comes in mode 2 ... mode 2 is the closest thing to the controls of a real aircraft
if your dad is starting from scratch ... it would be easy for him to learn any mode

Just started to play rc helicopter too. Bought FXD Aviator 6 and seems that my license terbang failed badly.
When taking off it seems that the heli goes backwards. Still duno how to control the remote.
Any tips for begginer likee me?

that heli in the picture will not tolerate wind ... so dont take it outdoors or any place with wind stronger that small fan
there should be some trim tabs/buttons on the controller ... just push/press a few click of elevator trim forward and it should be ok

Bro, how to see if the heli can't tolerate wind? Mind to teach me a bit?
Yesterday evening while playing it crashed into tree and hang on top of the tree.
Cut the story short, i managed to get it down by using long stick.
Btw, it seems that the second blade which is the bottom one doesn't turn anymore.
Duno can be repair or not.. If kenot i will be getting this instead. Think the quality will be much better than that.

Where to buy slow flying indoor small plane? Looking for a basic 2 channel plane?

the design of the copter u posted is known as a coaxial
ie. top and bottom fixed pitch propellers
by design those cannot handle windy conditions

i would not waste time and $$$ trying to repair that copter
parts will be hard to get and expensive

the new one u listed will handle wind much better and fly better
but flying it will be slightly harder than your old coaxial copter

i would just get the v911 and learn on that
it can handle some wind and quite sturdy to crashes

Is flying small heli same as in flying medium or big one?
maybe i will jes get the smallest one and try flying that first.

looks like the new one listed has a 45 degree flybar, so most likely it will fly quite similar to a coax, just a bit better. as oppose to something like a HBFP.

small helis are a little more twitchy and sensitive. bigger ones, because of the weight is less twitchy and more stable, which is why it can handle wind better.

also do note that this hobby requires spare parts. so go with something that you can easily find spare parts. else, you'll be grounded after just a few crashes. remember, spare parts are a must, upgrade parts are optional. definitely true for any beginners. so getting something from walkera or esky is another option as oppose to getting some brand-less one, as these 2 brands have easily accessible parts should you need any, especially in the klang valley.

Yeah, all the parts come with parts. I think i am gonna get that. This time might fly low and maybe indoor training b4 going outdoor. Starting to like flying..haha

indoors is definitely the starting point, to eliminate any wind interference while you're trying get used to the controls. make sure you have enough spave though.

Last time I checked at Amcorp, no one was selling these small planes, one idiot have cheeky enough to tell me they don't sell children's toys.

Thanks for the tip, I work in a high pressure environment. Looking for a simple, easy to fly, no maintenance, slow flying RC plane to burn some stress during my break. The best so far was the silverlit palm z, use to fly it in my office room. However it broke down beyond repair after 2 years, and I have been searching for a replacement. Silverlit no longer produces the palm z.

v911 is by far one of the most durable learning single rotor heli
great as a stress reliever ... charge the battery using your USB port at PC

i have crashed it on purpose into a wall (not very high speed la of coz)
at about 10ft high ... crash into wall ... i never even walked over to pick up the heli
just throttle a little till the heli sits up and then straightaway fly back .. hahahaha

u will have to consider a radio (starts from rm200+) .. charger (rm100+) .. batteries (rm100+) .. and crash repair costs
and then the cost of aircraft ...

u can get a quadcopter for around rm300+ if u buy the stuff and build it yourself

or u can choose to get the 929 quadcopter which is perfectly good for learning ... really cheap too

just wondering your v929 throttle is left or right hand side? (the one which dont spring back to centre position)

mine is mode 2 throttle is on the left side.

i myself bought 2, and all friends around me also bought this

but i experienced a lot that cannot balance after few crash, not because unbalance prop, but due to the board problem(the most expensive part to change)

but all in all, it is a good helicopter if you are good luck(crash for many times and still flying )
