long neck and narrow shoulder people also have high traps insertion
i am 1 of them

i dont consider it as good genetics because i have hard time to balance proportion between traps and shoulders

Hey I have big traps due to my long neck too. Used to think of it as weird, but then again as I balance it out I don't have to do shrugs or any direct trap work at all.

john you doing heavy deadlift wont it gives you traps work?
i am having problem for balancing them
any extra delts work you do to catch up them ?

i might add in 2 session of delt per week .
the deadlift i used to do gives me extra traps work so i have stop working them until i get balance them doh.gif

i feel my traps get some work when i do shoulder and back exercise. I am not sure if I get some work at traps during deadlift because i dont deadlift often.

High trap is compensated with broad shoulder i guess.. if narrow shoulder might look a lil weird. i have high trap too. doesn't look that bad at all with my shoulder. to ur surprise it actually look good on tshirts.. bulgin trap. always had good comments..

Surprise surprise! I don't do deadlifts. However, I think my trap work are mostly done during lateral raises. Cant help it... or am I doing them the wrong way? hmm.gif

I do alots different way raise.partial mostly to prevent traps involved
I remember several bodybuilders they have natural sloped shoulders too
arnold is 1 of them and he mentioned in his encyclopedia

you can find different way of lateral raises from his book
personally i am doing incline raise and it seems like works for me
and

maybe the fat is not on your arm. if not surely your arm is bigger than mine.

btw, i really think that creatine helps me building up strength. added more weights to almost all of my exercise.
