To get higher credit limit, the bank need your income statement to support it, right ?

You can get DA Platinum with salary of RM80k per annum.

If you show good paying records and spendings consistently for a few years, you should be able to upgrade to platinum.

Citibank min CL is just around RM25k.

Platinum card means u have to pay more annual fee sweat.gif

Got offer letter from HLB 2 weeks ago to upgrade my gold to platinum, with my credit limit being increased to RM65.5k, straight away i canceled my card. I think some banks are too desperate to get customer coz my annual income not even reach 80k and with RM65.5k credit limit, it's suicide.

Not really. Almost all Platinum cardholders are not paying any annual fee for the Platinum card(s) they are holding.

Oh yes ... that I agree fully! No longer a big deal and it's just a method for the bank to

1. Charge more annual fee (if they do charge)
2. Customer retention and loyalty tool

Sorry you are wrong. I got bonus rebate and points for the petrol. Maybe you need to check yours?
Why do you keep arguing with me? I am VERY SURE what I told you is real. Tomorrow I am gonna scan my scan my statement and show you. biggrin.gif

QUOTE(zenquix @ Jan 3 2010, 10:48 PM)
This is what I got from the Younique website. Quoted a few posts above.

Rebates - Cash rebates for all retail. Likely [Normal points except for petrol and government transactions.]
Rewards - 2x points for all retail except petrol and government transactions.
Rates - Low finance charge

Choose 1 only
It is pointless to argue with that fellow, unless he is showing proof of his statement. smile.gif

They want cardholders to retain DA. No choice.

Seems like MBB is not as desperate as them. I shall cut all MBB CC and keep DA instead. hmm.gif

Some do have genuine additional benefits right? Like MBB's (and few others) can help u get box seats at MPO a lil easier, among other things

Generally Platinum cards comes with 'equivalent' priviledges. E.g. Yes, you can get MPO tickets but they are not your regular cheap tickets ... more like the suite tickets. Better to use cards that provide direct discounts that save your money.

The plan has been renewed and extended till 30 June 2010. The information is available at the DA mailer. There's no updated information at DA website.
