As DA Visa is useless, I'm going to replace it.
Now still consider between Alliance Gold and Amex Gold. Which one is recommended? |

QUOTE(lara_ @ Jan 5 2010, 12:15 AM) As DA Visa is useless, I'm going to replace it. Alliance Bank credit card is the better choice obviously as it issues only either VISA or Mastercard and both are widely accepted unlike AMEX.Now still consider between Alliance Gold and Amex Gold. Which one is recommended? |

QUOTE(David83 @ Jan 4 2010, 08:14 PM) You can call the CS to verify the cancellation status; perhaps they're overloaded with cancellation requests now. I already ring them, but they put a 8 minutes duration songs for me to listen I confirmed my cancellation of my MBB CC by giving a call to the CS. Just hang it up, later will call back to them. |

I've been thinking, since DA plat is a new card issued, is the RM50 GST automatically charged upon card issuance or at anniversary date??

QUOTE(arsenal @ Jan 3 2010, 09:51 PM) Sorry you are wrong. I got bonus rebate and points for the petrol. Maybe you need to check yours? My Dear ARSENAL,See my statement as attached CLEARLY. Alliance Younique MC was shown as MasterCard Gold in the statement. In August, I spent on Shell petrol for RM64.62 and another retail transaction for RM5,000. In the end, I was given 5,000 timeless bonus points for that particular month. WHAT SAY YOU?

She told me that the DA Platinum was issued in December 2009 and therefore, will be charged RM50 on the anniversary date. |

Perhaps there are TOO MANY peoples being upgraded, it may took a while.Anyone actually received the Card yet? Its already 2 weeks! QUOTE(winner @ Jan 5 2010, 10:02 AM) Alliance Younique's rebate rate is similar to Alliance Plat's rate, which is MUCH HIGHER than Alliance Gold. It depends on monthly spending actually. For my range (1000-3000), alliance gold is the best.I like the younique design very much. If younique card can give me gold rate, I will go for younique |

Hello all experts, I enrolled in AKPK Program. Recently I found out that AKPK interest is killing as well...
Initially my outstanding balance for AMbank is just RM5k+ .. with my monhtly re-payment for 2 years.. the outstanding did not reduce but increase to RM8k+.... Now i wanted to make full settlement for all my cards.. Do you guys think I can ask/negotiate for the discount on the full settlement amount??? For eg, The full settlement with HSBC is RM9k... Can i negotiate? |

QUOTE(lara_ @ Jan 5 2010, 10:47 AM) I don't get what you mean. Since both Alliance Younique and Alliance Gold give cash back and Younique's rebate rate is higher, why don't you switch over to Younique? Income requirement for Younique is damn low - RM18,000 per annum. |

Since both Alliance Younique and Alliance Gold give cash back and Younique's rebate rate is higher, why don't you switch over to Younique? Income requirement for Younique is damn low - RM18,000 per annum. My understanding is Alliance Classic, Gold and Platinum (Younique) rebate rate are cater for different monthly spending rate. For example, 1. Monthly Spending 1000, Classic Card is better 2. Monthly Spending 3000, Gold Card is better --> My Range 3. Monthly Spending 5000, Platinum is better Rebate Rate: http://www.alliancebank.com.my/ccard_cashback.html Note: 1. Classic start to give 0.8% at RM351 and 1.2% at RM651. 2. Gold start to give 0.8% at RM601 and 1.3% at RM951. 3. Platinum start to give 0.9% at RM1351 and 2% at RM2551. If you always spend below RM2551, the best rate is 0.9% which you can get when you spend RM351 with classic card. Please correct me is my understanding is wrong. |

QUOTE(lara_ @ Jan 5 2010, 11:39 AM) 1. Monthly Spending 1000, Classic Card is better Correct. Alliance CCs were customised to meet different spending appetite. If you spend between RM1k to RM3k per month, Alliance Gold cc suits you most. 2. Monthly Spending 3000, Gold Card is better --> My Range 3. Monthly Spending 5000, Platinum is better |

QUOTE(adreina @ Jan 5 2010, 10:33 AM) Hello all experts, I enrolled in AKPK Program. Recently I found out that AKPK interest is killing as well... You may try to inquire but I doubt so the bank will entertain you if you are asking for a discount based on your original purchase amount (without the interest) Eg. Your original retail purchase was RM5k and everything extra was the interest. Possibly the bank will discount the interest only.Initially my outstanding balance for AMbank is just RM5k+ .. with my monhtly re-payment for 2 years.. the outstanding did not reduce but increase to RM8k+.... Now i wanted to make full settlement for all my cards.. Do you guys think I can ask/negotiate for the discount on the full settlement amount??? For eg, The full settlement with HSBC is RM9k... Can i negotiate? Still ... if you are able to do full settlement then please do so. (irrespective whether got discount or not) CC interest are a real killer and not a lot of people realise this until they get into trouble because of cc debts.
