jst a mini update of my past enquiry of installment payment of credit card debt.

my sister wrote in letter and request of balance isntallment payment without incurring any interest. jst after 2 days and got the call from mbb that the plan approved and able to repay in 3mths time. however, the usage will be ceased for 3mths during the repayment. the card will back to normal after payment done within 3mths smile.gif

Just want to ask here as I'm also facing the similar situation
Is that mean if I charge RM3k for installment of 6 month on my 4k cc on Jan 2010,

1) Jan charged RM3k, i left RM 1k credit limit
2) Feb pay the 1st installment RM500, i still left RM 1k credit limit (not RM1.5k or RM4k)
3) March pay 2nd installment of RM 500, i still left Rm 1k credit limit, bla bla bla same for the following months
4) Last month July, I pay the last RM 500, then I have my credit limit back to RM4k

Is my calculation above correct? Or the bank using other formula?

Please help, thank you.

DA Gold card holders that got the free offer to upgrade to plat cards, which one are you going to potong? The gold or plat one? [This Q is targetted at ppl who plan to retain their DA Cards]

I checked DA website for the benefit difference between the gold and platinum one...seems like no difference also. Both cards have travel insurance.

For DA card holders who plan to potong, please potong at least 2 months before your anniversary date, as stated on DA's website.

If I were to keep DA, I'll go for DA Platinum.

I have asked DA CS that one can transfer any outstanding balance and accumulated points to the new offered DA Platinum.

David83: good to hear that. I just realised, I can't find current points accumulated in cimbclicks.

The benefit of DA platinum about access to KLIA Premium Lounge, is it a benefit to all platinum Mastercard holders in general?

The points can only be known from DA monthly statement. Cannot check online; sounded a little irony.

Generally Platinum cards comes with 'equivalent' priviledges. E.g. Yes, you can get MPO tickets but they are not your regular cheap tickets ... more like the suite tickets. Better to use cards that provide direct discounts that save your money.
*
Yeah those are for the box tickets. Boxes aren't sonically superior in the hall, they're mainly good for having not to sit directly next to other ppl, as well as to look around n have others see you since you stand out so much. Which is what the rich might like, hence why it's a platinum benefit.

Was just giving one example, showing that there are still a few additional benefits for the platinum card which are designed for, well, ppl whom platinum cards were meant for.

Haha...changing the colour of the card from gold to black lol. Well, it will blend in with most of our wallets laugh.gif

So the transfer of the oustanding balance and points are done automatically or you have to write letter etc. manually.

I guess this month will be a busy month for banks CS and a quiet month for CC agents.

Black? I thought it should be look like silver.

When you activate your DA Platinum, ask the CS on the line to request for those transfers!

You can call the CS to verify the cancellation status; perhaps they're overloaded with cancellation requests now.

I confirmed my cancellation of my MBB CC by giving a call to the CS.

For those who are canceling DA Gold, are you able to transfer points to your DA Plat?

Just checked my Amex Gold CC account and noticed that I got both 5x points and 15% rebate at MPH for the cashback promotion, that's pretty good.

@lara_

It seems like the 2x and 5x are features of the card, doesn't seem like there's a definite ending period for it
