Hello.. Anyone has Citibank Platinum Card now?

Mind to share experience of your fee waiver? Because it is not cheap, about RM600.

What requirement for fee waiver? how many times have to swap?
*
Fee waiver on citibank plat is easy , just maintain minimum swipe like at least 2 times / month or having auto debit like insurance or some telco bills will do. No hassle for me to request for the waiver once it charged to my statement, the CS will reverse the fee for you on the spot. rclxms.gif

No harms getting a platinum card if you are first time owning a platinum. Only thing is the actual exclusiveness of Platinum is not there anymore. By the way seems CIMB , SCB and few others bank is giving away platinum card massively as people are letting go their cards. Good time to get yours today brows.gif

I thought the lowest limit for platinum card is capped at 15k ?

Early this month i went to TAG HEUER annual sale exclusive for CIMB VI and WMC holders at plaza central, damn pack with people , so i guess its nothing exclusive for VI and WMC laugh.gif .

However the offer discount over there is awesome , up to 70% discount and surprised Grand Carrera series gets 60% ! Quite a good deal .

erh, actually in comparision to the cards I had mentioned, the Amex Plat card is a doozie. But I do concur that its hard to maintain as people are becoming smarter and no longer willing to pay that much for a card. Further, its not fair to compare the Amex Plat to the Visa Infinite or World Mastercard, which were created to challenge the Centurion Card  tongue.gif

Actually, nowdays a lot of people have more than RM250K in cash though such may not be reflected from members of this forum, which mostly comprises youngsters  icon_rolleyes.gif

That's why I only mentioned the CIMB Enrich World Mastercard and not their generic VI or WMC. Btw, tag normally has a 30% or so discount rate so a 60% on sale should be pretty normal  hmm.gif
*
Yeah , for year 2006 it was , since 2007 LVMH has controlled the discount capped at max 20% for its own boutique and also their authorized agent like Watchshoppe , HourGlass , Wata Time etc. Thats why makes those discount offered this time to CIMB VI and WMC looks great brows.gif .

The RHB website only mention about waiver fee for platinum or gold card if you're their PB customers.

Yes, I like Citibank phone customer service.
Seldom you have to wait long, and the officer is professional and helpful.
I am quite satisfy with their service.

Now what, how to apply world card and infinity?

Anyone get it already?

For World and Visa Infinite Series , you will need at least 50k for SCB VI ( but it's only for their PB customers now ) , for CIMB VI and WMC you need at least 100k CL to apply. MBF and RHB is by invitation only. icon_rolleyes.gif

how many % u had increase??

DA do double up my CL  sweat.gif  but still cut whistling.gif

It is roughly 135% from my previous limit.. Now thats funny as the limit has exceeded my current VI and WMC. By the way my citibank card anniversary month falls on July, so i still have time to consider whether to keep or cancel laugh.gif

Good luck & enjoy your glory of being the first  rclxms.gif

Btw, I have two Mas Golden Lounge vouchers which is expiring by 10/02/2010. As its tied to the CIMB VI/WMC which I had terminated, any such cardmembers travelling before that period and willing to trade me something for them? Anything is better than wasting them. Thks  smile.gif

I have two also tied with CIMB VI cards , unfortunately , expired on yesterday. sweat.gif

Is the above true for all banks ?
I thought we can "gain" back some CL once we start paying the monthly 0% installments....  cry.gif
*
IIRC MBB card installment amount is released as you pay , which is like you get something for RM 10,000 , swiped as 0% EPP , thus per month is 833.33 . For the first month of installment , bank will release the 833.33 CL as you pay and thats follow until the EPP finished.

Not really. Almost all Platinum cardholders are not paying any annual fee for the Platinum card(s) they are holding.
*
i second to that brows.gif , i never paid for the annual fee except for AMEX PLAT CC but in the end i get more than what i paid for. icon_rolleyes.gif

Hi All,

is RM17k CL enough to apply for any platinum cards? If so, which banks?

Thanks!!
*
You can go for EON Bank, StanChart, UOB or MBF , which they only require 15k CL to eligible for their platinum series. 20k CL will give you more access to bank like citibank, mbb, cimb, rhb, ambank, hongleong, etc.. 30k and you'll get HSBC and that was the highest requirement i believe in plat series.
hope this helps. good luck thumbup.gif

@rockefeller,
So how many miles do I need wor?! I'm not too familiar with all these airline miles - I ain't as widely travelled as U people.  Gee.... and I just used up like 625,000 MR points on the Tag Heuer - should have kept the points for this option! *siGh*
*
Tinkerbel , i think you missed the Tag Heuer sale in last december which they give up to 70% discount on their watches, which i assume much more cheaper than that 625k MR you traded for it tongue.gif

Today just heard a credit card roadshow promoter said that Amex Gold charge card is very difficult to get? Is this true?
*
I dont think it is true , i have few friends applied for the card using their > 1 year CC with the lowest one 6k CL , all approved biggrin.gif , it just a myth charge card is harder to get. At this time people are abandoning their cards , will be much more easier to get approved.

Hi all, I have something to ask.

I would like to upgrade my VISA classic to GOLD card, do I have to contact my agent to help me to handle or call the bank directly and handle by myself?
*
Either way will do , the fastest way is to get to download a card upgrade form , attach with ur salary slip and fax it to them , then call in to CS to ask about the status biggrin.gif
