My 1st time marathon... considered ok....  Once finish race.. walked towards the GB booth... feel the pain at my ankle... sprained my ankle. But thank God is after the race ^^

10km = 1.15hr, initially target to complete.. so the medal is a bonus. Now i can brag brag brag since all don't expect to complete, what more a medal tongue.gif

U ran the marathon or the 10K ? hmm.gif

finish my fist marathon 5h 43 minutes
really suffering like hell for the last 23km

any ideas how to improve my timing?,seems like i dont have enough endurance to run a marathon.
*
Dun have enuff endurance then U have to run more la. Not necessarily run the marathon distance (in Ur training), but at least prepare Ur body for the punishment of running 5 hrs plus. Meaning, LSD for 5 hrs la. It's pretty simple really, dun have endurance, run more LSD. Dun have speed, do more speedwork/intervals. Dun have energy, eat more. At least U finished. I dun dare try running a marathon yet, at least not in this couple of years. Not until the half marathon becomes second nature to me..

aiya, meet at P7. didn't read that. I park at P2, and met Frank there.

i did badly for my 21k. 2:55. was on m 7min per k pace till 13k, and then suffer cramp and feel like vomiting. I think due to my lack of sleep, a bad mistake.

steveysl: You sure that's P7 where we park? According to Jeff, it was P2 so I followed the P2 shuttle bus back. Upon dropoff, the signs say P7. Errr... Weird. Then some middle east fellow wanted me to fetch him to some roundabout cause he says he is drunk. Immediately I lock myself in the car, changed and drove off. Scared he got intention to rob me.

elgato: It was indeed to meet up with you again. Am sure you had a good run.

P2 is where the Sports Arena is... it's very close the Lingkaran Putrajaya (ie the main trunk road) and if you are in P2, you will be able to see a Basketball court near to the bus stop.

I think P7 is on the other side (quite far away).

i'll never know my exact finishing time as the results shows that i DNF. but oh well...its ok. as long as i know i made it back to the finishing line where my frens were cheering for me...felt proud of myself for completing the run despite the punishing heat beginning till the end of the run.

was the last female runner btw. being trailed by ambulance and 2 police bikes. i think i completed it in abt 7 hrs 40 mins. rclxub.gif

Frank, where we park was P2. I am just referring to the rest on the meeting for LYN group. When I took the return bus, and I asked the drive if that is P2, and he said P2. So, confirm where we park was P2.

Better be careful, not that we do not want to help the person. Anyway, there was a big group of us going to our parking. so no such issue.

Now U can buy one of those marathon tshirts Choi is selling. The one that says."The pain is temporary but the pride is forever".

I thought I parked at P7 but it was actually opposite P7. It was at the Cyberjaya bus terminal, it wasn't even a designated car parks. But quite a lot of runners parked there. My next half shud be the SCKLM, unless Klang Pacers have their Setia Alam half first la. In between there's the NB 15K, Larian Bomba... maybe Pesta Sukan MOF ...
