try a 21K first then go for the full.
I have registered 21k for BIM. now thinking should I go for SCSM for full. first got to go back to training first. |

shahwan86, Syd G is right. PBIM and SCSM is just 2 weeks apart, so you might not have enough time to recover. My plan is run BIM (Borneo Int) half, which already reg. Now is the SCSM, still thinking to do half or full.
My friend doing full for both. so, have running partner. |

phoenix: macau is just one day away from SC. I saw their route, looping on the same route. not sure this will cause confusion.

ccube, i will consider another pair later, maybe the white one, since i got the black, but not so soon. yes, definitely another pair of sock, no blister!
if you and your team ever come to Seremban, for run or for food, just give me shout. you know my contact. i am thinking of selling my asics, too big for me, US9.5, the smallest size the shop have. too eager to get it. :-$ i will stick with the FW3 now. |

wah! the forum suddenly become so active! we can meet up after the Mizuno Wave.
Came back from my BIM run, my first 21k. Fastwitch did well, (saw a number of people wearing it) but my knee did not corporate, walk the last 10k. Will try harder the next 21k. need to get my knee "tougher". overall, the route is nice, and almost flat (even for the 42k). there are more than enough water, 100%, banana to go around. the powerbar team was there. there were lots of volunteers working. next year, Borneo Mar. will be at 14April 2010, so go and plan for it. |

QUOTE(Johannbeckham @ Oct 22 2009, 02:14 PM) By the way guys, I've found this site runnersworld.com to be very helpful. I got a lot of tips on how to train. Now I'm following this training program here The Rookie Marathon Training Program and I'm on my 10th week already. Do you have any other resource for training plans except for what's there in Runnersworld? all the best in your races. |

QUOTE(phoenix @ Oct 22 2009, 04:05 PM) strinq: Please read my review on both the original and 2.0 edition. Frank, thanks for the formula. this really help, can't afford a fancy watch yet.* If you guys roughly want to know how much your calories consumption is for an hour, you can use this formula. Just an estimate but may be useful for planning your energy intake during races. 0.15 (easy run) or 0.16 (moderate run) or 0.17 (hard run) X 60 minutes X body weight in KG. For example mine will be: 0.17 X 60 minutes X 48.5KG = 494.7kcal an hour This post has been edited by steveysl: Oct 22 2009, 04:28 PM |
