fate has it.. i broke my personal best yesterday by breaking the hour.. & this morning while riding my motorbike to work, going at 80km/h+, my rear tire came off, & i went down crashing.. broke my left radius (arm). the doc said they need to insert a plate, right now it's in a partial cast. i dunno how long it's gonna take to heal.. i hope i can still make the adidas kotr. other than broken left arm, there are cuts & bruises everywhere ? a deep cut in my left toe, dislocated shoulder.. thts it i guess..  sad.gif
*
oh boy, i am sorry to hear that. reading wat u have described oredi sent shivers to my mind. let alone experiencing it. and how can ur rear tyre came off. u mean the bolts and nuts that fasten/tighten the tyre all came out. cry.gif

Uh Syd has helped me to register Siemens for me edi

Anyway, I saw the form 10KM leh? but anyway, whack only biggrin.gif 1KM more. Thanks bro!
On a side note

DAMN!!!! I got an email from Mindshare group.(And got a phone call to be told about the email =.=  sweat.gif ) What the hell, I have to send to them my DRAFT review, wait for approval BEFORE being allowed to publish it.

Where is the freedom of speech? Now i know the difference between being invited directly by Nike =.= Much more interesting even on collection day itself.

doh.gif  doh.gif  doh.gif  doh.gif  doh.gif  doh.gif So I have to suck up to Nike eh? Damnit.

What ever happened to 'Just Do it'
*
Y the double standard. Shoe reviews are meant to be very OPEN and no hidden agenda. If its good or bad, the runners gotta voice it out, otherwise it will send a wrong message to consumers doh.gif

Runnerz, do you think it's advisable for me to go for my first full marathon debut at SCSM when the max I can go at my comfortable pace now is only <15km?

It's less than 5 months away but almost another 30 km to gain is the main question that's playing in my head. What do u guys think? Just do it?
*
Shah,
4 months shud be sufficient to build up ur endurance. But the only problem for you is the puasa month break, that will disrupt ur training. If u can hack it, then just aim for completion of the run with no timing in mind. Taking into consideration ur endurance level is low ie <15k.

Aug - Sept: Base training ie make sure u can clock weekly mileage of 30k-40k. And Sat/Sun will be a longer run of 15k to 20k

Oct - Nov: Your weekly mileage shud be hitting 40k to 50k. Sat/Sun LSD shud be alternating between 25k, 28k and 30k+

This is a very tight program bcos you dont have a base foundation and the puasa month will disrupt ur training. if u think u can hack it, i will draw out a more detail prg for you to follow.

CCube going for the full mara in Singapore? nice and easy training plan you posted man...im at least targetting to complete the Singapore Marathon around 4.00-4.15 since its a pretty flat terrain

lots of speedwork and tempo and LSD ahead...
*
wow.....4:00 to 4:15 is cinya fast liao. anyway Sg Marathon is nvr a good hunting grd for me. Nvr run faster than 4:30 there, so no high hopes for me.

My left knee feel pain after SCKLM... That was my first 10km run. Hence, I stop for a while and it recover pretty good.

But, yesterday I practice 10km run to prepare myself for Men's Health run next saturday... That 'pain' feeling come back again after run... Any sifus here can share about their experience on knee pain??
*
if u constantly hv knee problem after a run, chk out ur shoes. u may be having the wrong type of shoe. either its not support u well or the shoe is too hard.

Congrats to those who ran Siemens Run yday. It was indeed a very well organised race especially for the Pom Pom gals who gave me extra booster for the final push.

SHAPE Run, we all from LYN gotta gather together and take a picture, what do u think. Maybe we can park at the carpark next to the Palace Of Justice, and meet at a specific time. Be early so that there is more time for us to lepak and sembang. Deal??

Anyone still giving away or selling SHAPE Run bib (mens), plz let me know.
