If you're looking to form a non-competitive team, I may be interested tongue.gif

Yup, me too. Have been trying to form a team from my company but due to it being held on a long weekend (Aug 31 Mon is a PH) most cannot commit as they'll be away from KL. So if there's still space here for me, I'll be glad to join. tongue.gif

I bought the Forerunner 50 from one of bro Adam's dealer. Very good running watch if you can live without GPS. For me, the watch + footpod (and HRM) is good enuff.

angrydog: there's a chap here name is akuadam (flip back a couple pages and I think you'll see his reply) who sells Garmin Forerunner stuff. What you need is a Forerunner 50 + footpod (or if budget allow a FR305 or FR405).

I've got 2 Mizunos, Crusader 2 (trainer) & Wave Aero 5 (racer). I've been very happy with both. I'm planning to get Adizero Ace, going for 30% at Studio R. Boston was also at 30% off I think. Normal price both the same, RM399. But Ace is slightly lighter than Boston, at 7.4 oz.
*
I have the Ace and luv the shoes. It's not a trainer though as it's thin on the cushioning but if you wear it for race day, it's great as it's light.

btw I saw RSH Pavilion only 20%. Where did u see 30%? IF yes, I may want to get another pair. tongue.gif

Hmm... think I found the answer myself. I suppose I go along Jln Kuching until the Segambut area and the exit into the MRR2/Duke heading towards the Ulu Kelang direction. The first toll I hit will be the Batu Toll yes?

Sat morning prolly 6.30am as usual (but I mentally record it as 6.00am since I'll need to wait for carpark to open, wear shoes, stretch etc)

Duke run 7:30am I think... usually FTAAA runs start at that time. 5km only biggrin.gif
*
Will likely join u to pirate the Duke Run. I've late Fri nights so getting up early Sat morning is tough. rclxub.gif But Sun morning shud be fine and since the Duke Run reg is closed, pirating seems to be the only option hehe

There's a charity run organized by Jusco this Sun 12/12. Short distance 5km RM10 but details are very sketchy. What I know is that a few Juscos are having the run ie Damansara, Alpha Angle, Klang etc..

anyone going for this?

Hooha has online registration for this now....

but do note if you register online at Hooha, race kit collection will be at Putrajaya. If you register at OCM, you can collect race kit at OCM (which is in Jln Hang Jebat). Unfortunately for OCM, you've to walk-in.

yah just wanna make sure FTAAA is ready to register.  If register online hv to pickup bib @ Putrajaya (i was told)
*
I just did this afternoon. I'd wanted to do online @ Hooha (note that online have a RM4 charge but that's okay considering the time savings from having to drive to OCM office) but when I saw Hooha online registration means you pick up your race kt at Putrajaya, that discouraged me.

The fTAAA office in OCM has the forms so you can just walk up, ask for the form, fill it up then submit with your cash. They'll give you a 4-slipreceipt (similar to the one you get for Shape's Nite Run) which is used to collect your race kit (one of the slip has your t-shirt size on it).

FTAAA office is on the 2nd Floor of the OCM Building.

Seems like the reg form is the old one at their website (referring to Putrajaya as venue). Does anyone know if they plan to uploade revised reg form or we can use the old one? Thnks.

U mean there are runners who are willing to pay RM500+ for this brand.  Even if there is the percentage is very small within MY market. The stocking cost can kill me unless I can get a good price and order based on runners need.
*
Yes the stocking cost can sink you but I think there are interests given the large num of runners locally. Maybe what you can do is to get those who want this to do a pre-order with you, place some deposit and once you get enough numbers, you ship them in. Win-win for all.

u mean for the 7.7km one? i don't think u can potong Q.. when u arrive at finishing line, they give u a position card, only with that card u can take ur medal.. i think they only have 400 position cards kuar..
*
the potong queue is on the bridge linking PICC... I think originally there was supposed to be a rubber band runners need to collect when they ran around PICC and back to the bridge.... none was given on that evening (at least I didn't get any).

So wat happened was on my way back on the bridge (ie heading back towards Istana Kehakiman), I saw some runners on the opposite side (ie. they were just coming into the bridge towards PICC... literally just walked across the road divider into my side!

This saved them the round-trip around PICC which is like 2+ km.... I hope those runners have the integrity NOT to collect the finisher's medal which is not rightfully theirs and deny someone who ran the full 7.7 km.

At the finishing line, Navilink is correct that each runner coming in gets a position card with the number marked on it... I suppose they'll stop issuing that at #400. You need to present that card to claim your finisher medal.
