no idea: Don't worry, it's normal: the connection to PTPTN's application site has a problem of frequent time out. Just try later, or use the alternative address. smile.gif

hey....my fren's ptptn is the last batch for the exemption of repaying if get 1st class....however, the ptptn fella din grant him the exemption although he got 1st class last time, reason given was that my fren extended 1 more sem

but in the agreement, it was not stated anything about the graduates must get 1st class within the stipulated time, it just said, if u get 1st class honours, then u get exemption....n my fren din even get the loan during his extension period (last sem)

do u think my fren is eligible for the exemption or not? y?

There's 2 batches if I'm not mistaken. So you can go for the second batch you cannot make it the first batch. Maybe it's the connection but I cannot load any of the address and I'd been trying for a week now. =.=. Gonna go look for help when enroll.

It's Ijazah Sarjana Muda, like in my case. However, PTPTN don't have that option, so Ijazah Pertama is the closest one. I found my course using that option, and the course's code is the same with the one I applied in UPU. smile.gif

According to PTPTN website, you can check the result of you application starting three days after the application deadline.

About the certified documents, only those who got the loan need to pass up.

That means 3 days after today, check your result. Then, if you got it, go into uni and pass up all the doc. After that, wait for the money. Finally, go get your money and spend it.

Hi, anyone knows if i can appeal for a conversion to scholarship for getting a 1st class honours?Im a 1st class degree holder from mmu, just graduated last month.

From the website, i got this info:
Peminjam yang layak adalah peminjam yang diluluskan pinjaman sebelum 1 Julai 2005 dan telah menamatkan pengajian Ijazah Sarjana Muda dengan mendapat keputusan Kepujian Kelas Pertama.

My prob is, my contract is dated 7 julai 2009. Do you think i can appeal?Anyone successfully got converted to scholarship for a 1st class result? Is it a long process?

I am a STPM student and I can confirm that I have received WPP for my IPTA.
Since I am studying in MMU Cyberjaya now, I have sent back the WPP.

Btw, I have applied for PTPTN loan for the course that I am currently studying. They passed my loan today. They only gave RM 49, 500. It is not enough for me. My course fees itself is RM 39, 500. I cannot survive with RM 10, 000 for 3 years. I put my parents' salary as RM 1700 only. Isn't that enough to get a full loan?

Anyway, as I was looking at the loan offer letter, it states that my studies are for 6 semesters only. It should be 9 sem.
But, they did state the duration of studies correctly which is 3 years.

What should I do now? I have also applied for JPA scholarship with my CGPA which is 3.59. Do anyone know when the results will be anounced?

Need help here regarding the datelines. Was wondering how u guys know where to check the dateline for PTPTN application? I'm going to IPTS and I don't seem to find the dateline for the application for IPTS. All I can see is the IPTA schedule...Also my IPTS starts next Monday...very worried.
BTW, I applied and send in my online application in July 2nd and the PTPTN ppl ask me to check my "status permohonan" around today: 23rd July...still the "status" have yet to change...

That means 3 days after today, check your result. Then, if you got it, go into uni and pass up all the doc. After that, wait for the money. Finally, go get your money and spend it.
*
however, the docs are not pass to U. there are certain dates for PTPTN representative to come to each U in Malaysia to collect the docs.

add:
the closing date for 2nd batch is 19th, now its already 25th. i just checked my application for 2nd batch, they said still in progress.

one more thing to ask. when the application approved, applicant need to print out certain docs from PTPTn website. does anyone knows who shud sign those docs?are those docs needed to be certified?

I've a question,
let's say i have applied for PTPTN for a diploma course in TARC. After submitting the application, i have changed to another U, am i still able to obtain the loan for the other U?i will have to notify them once my loan is approved or what?
what if the course im taking is a foundation course?will they defer the loan to when i take my degree course?

I think they will forfeit your PTPTN loan, as the one you applied is for TARC.

Regarding the documents that need to be certified; those "document sokongan" i.e SPM result, parents' payslip, ic etc needs to be certifed and can only be certified by legatimate ppl approved by PTPTN. can read their FAQ on the website. Still all in all, best is that one go back to secondary school and get those document certified by school principal.

Other than that, there r agreement contract that u'll print once ur application is approved. Among those, there r 2 piece that needs a witness (not ur parents) but u can get ur school principal for that as well.

One more thing is 2nd batch is 19th...but it's for IPTA...and i do hope it applies the same for IPTS, coz I'm suppose to register myself tomorrow (27th July) and they still have yet to approve my applicaton which i've sent in since 2nd...prays hard that the result will be out tomorrow morning

This morning recieved ptptn sms.... say they approve liao.

Lol... i put RM 5k for my dad salary and mum RM 3k... cuz mum is teacher and dad is Private sector.... now they only give me RM 6300 for my ptptn... i dare not lie in the form i scared they take legal action. sad.gif

How is the cash divided ? If rm 6300 divided by 6 sems... RM 1k per sem ??? Omg thats damn low.

I have several questions. If my pin number expires. do i need to renew it or buy a new one?
I heard that you can buy pin numbers in bsn atms. is it true?
If yes, what should i do to buy via atms? do i need like a atm card or something?
Thanks in advance. Any help will very much be appreciated. smile.gif

And how can I get 1% administration rate? my current rate is 3%.

My dad has retired and my mom is a housewife, can I get full loan?

Thanks in advance.

Do any of you guys know how to find the 'No. Surat Tawaran' from the Penyata Kira-kira Pinjaman Pendidikan' letter? I can see a bunch of numbers here under the bar code though.

I'm asking this because I'm helping my sister to pay her PTPTN loan by using CIMB Clicks, and because she doesn't remember where she put the Surat Tawaran (this was years ago).

You need to get the offer letter from the college and comfirming that you are the student there and then go apply online.
They will check whether you really got into college or not.
If you apply online first I don think they will approve. So better don take the risk.

not sure about that.. this ptptn got their dateline, so the earlier you apply the faster you get the money but then hope you got the money to pay for your 1st sem fees first. just in case.

There's an insurance of donno how many charged one wor... So if I'm not mistaken, you'll get slightly less than the full amount, maybe you should ask the staff in charge in your college/uni.

I'll be frank...my parents combined salary is more than ....Rm7000, both are government servants, where their pay slip is issued by the government itself...should i act clever, like...puting one of my parents is unemployed?

Don't say my family can afford my IPTA fees...its a total of RM18,000++, and my family just bought our 1 and only house 2 years ago, and a new car this week...and i have 3 other siblings that are currently studying also...

I plan to apply for the next semester....

Is ptptn stringent in checking out family's earnings?

I wish that they are also stringent in checking out the family's expenses too!

So jealous of those who manage to get full loan (or even half), even when their socio-economic background is good!

is it worth to take a gamble for my future?

I received the wang pendahuluan also, but I sent the cheque back. I don't know if it's required, but my aunt called PTPTN and they told her that I should send it back if I don't cash it.

No. so discuss with your college to difer payment IF you're still waiting for money, provided your loan has been approved

Should be alright, as long as you dont fail any subject?
But i think they will look at your SPM results.

My PTPTN online application has been approved and the officers will be coming to my university this Thursday to collect our documents.

I have gotten my documents ready and stamped, but I have a question that I'd like to ask here:

My mum, who is my second guarantor, is not working. For Surat Pengesahan Tidak Bekerja must I type a letter on behalf of my mum? A friend told me the PTPTN officers will ask us to fill a letter on the spot to certify that a parent is not working. But I'm worried I'll be asked for the letter on that day.

Another friend told me I'm supposed to type a letter on behalf of my mum and have my mum sign it, then I'd have to have it certified.

I'm confused.

Urgent replies needed. Thank you.

Dun worry. Just print the pengesahan pendapatan form from PTPTN Website and have ur mother sign it. Make sure u put the salary as RM 0. Then, just get it certified.
I also faced the same problem on the Hari Bersama PTPTN day. I was only missing my mother's pengesahan pendapatan form. Hence, I took a form from them immediately, filled it, signed it myself, get it verified by my uni and passed up to them. brows.gif

The pengesahan pendapatan form, I can get it from the PTPTN website? I'm in university now, and I won't be going back until Raya, so I can't get my mother to sign them.

In your case, on the Hari Bersama PTPTN, you can get the form on the spot? Will the university people be there to certify your form? And when you signed it yourself, it was your mother's sign or your own's?

I've already sent the typed letter to my mum by email to let her print and then certify by the Commissioner of Oaths back in my hometown, then have her send it back to me through Poslaju on Tuesday morning (tomorrow is Merdeka day!). If I don't get it on Wednesday then I'll have to do like what you did!

I'm very worried!

Even when my documents were certified, the officer didn't ask me any question. The PTPTM officer also was like 'tutup mata' when receiving my pengesahan pendapatan form.
They all understand our situation since not everyone can signatures from their parents right away. Dun worry about anything. Just be cool.

And one more reminder, wake up early and go to ur uni as early as possible since there will be a long queue. For me, I waited from 8:30 am to 4:30 pm to get my documents submitted.

If you have a single parent, only one guarantor is enough for PTPTN. Just produce the appropriate death certificate.
My friend also faced the same situation as you.

Thank you very much for the information. I hope my university officers will be as lenient in certifying the documents as yours because there was once when I went to certify my certs, they asked me to show them the original documents.

I'm not as worried as I was before already, thanks! Hopefully everything will fall into place on that day biggrin.gif

I would like to apply for a loan for my third year in LLB External Law Programme, but I was wondering if they would consider Finals Part 2 to be one academic year (As it is officially only 9 months)? I am not sure if I would be able to qualify as the terms suggested that the period of study would need to exceed one year. Does anyone have any info on this matter?

Thank you.
*
Well, PTPTN will surely reject ur application if ur course is finishing in one year. They reject many applications from my university of those who are studying in final year.

Hey guys, a couple of questions here.

1. I'm currently in my 2nd semester, and i got my first disbursement of the loan, i'm supposed to get it again this sem, my college officials told me that i would be receiving it the week before last week & last week, but so far nth yet, plus some of the students which applied the same time as me had already received their 2nd payment..according to college officials. Why dont PTPTN bank in the money for all the students at once? *I'm in a private coll* the first time, they were quite fast, but now...

2.Why is in the PTPTN website, my application is still 'tunggu pengesahan' will they never update it?

well, im taking my diploma so i applied for the loan, i dont plan to apply for ptptn during degree as i think its not viable if u applied for more then 20k..cos at the end, when you're working, you gotta pay it back monthly and it adds to ur expenditures...

hmm usually your college will have a briefing session & the loan officer will guide you thru the procedures. It's not really safe to do it alone without proper guidance as once small error will result in your loan getting canceled.

I called ptptn today just to double confirm my ptptn reference number before i start paying them through cimbclicks. The reference number that they gave me is totally different from the reference number that is stated in my ptptn surat tawaran. Now i'm having some doubts. Has anyone faced this kind of problem before?

Just wondering, if my younger sis who looking forward for this ptptn loan, she is in IPTS in Inti College, just wondering is she elligible for th eptptn loan?
requirements depend on the subjects or institution "diiktirafkan" by government?
which step should she start for the applying of ptptn?

thanks in advance

she's in INTI shld be yeah. As long as the course is:
1.certified by MQA (correct me if i'm wrong)
2.Have at least 3 credits in SPM (B.M is compulsory), or with a cgpa of above 2.0 iin the previous sem.

just go to a commissioner of oath to write a letter, usually they have a typist there, just pay an amount to chop & sign.

depends on what course are you taking: diploma or degree level at and also what stream. If ur taking science based subjects, the full loan are slightly more compared to the arts based subjects. For an example, i'm taking diploma in business based subject which is an arts based subject , and for that i'm eligible for 8k per year (full loan)

I'm not from KL so can i know what is in KL Sentral? But its okay if you can get any higher authority such as a commissioner of oath to sign a declaration letter that ur dad is doing his own business.

You can obtain a ''no pay slip'' form frm the college i think, and get someone to certify it, a lawyer, commissioner of oath & so on.

Hi all, I submitted my online application last two weeks. Before I apply, I opened a CIMB islamic account, is that eligible for PTPTN loan? Also for income part, my father has his own business, do I need "no pay slip" to submit in order to get the loan?

I need to clear this out as uni tuition fee is very expensive...

Hi, for the bank issue, you will need a Bank Simpanan Nasional account & also any bank which have been chosen by your U depending you're on private or public U..
For the pay slip, you can actually just write a letter, then have it certified by the commissioner of oath (pesuruhjaya sumpah) or anyone else in the similar position

Hi, I am curious about certain issues:

1) If I am PTPTN Holder, after I graduate, can I go to Singapore to work and pay PTPTN monthly? Will I be barred from exiting Malaysia? And, it's a must to stay in Malaysia to work?

2) If I want to straight away further undergo Master program in oversea like UK, will I be barred to going UK?

Just to help you, my friend taking ptptn went to UK for further his studies. I think it will be alright as long as you can pay back the loan. Ppl need to pay back for 20 years if taking science course, it wouldn't be possible they barred them from exiting msia for 20 years yawn.gif

usually ur application is depending on your University's choice, and so far i think they all do it online, there will be a session & briefing with the personnel in charge at your University. Do check for the dates with the loan officer in your University

Can anyone explain about administration cost PTPTN charge with the loan repayment? They say it charge 3% annually base on the monthly loan amount. I'm a bit confuse here..... If 3% annually, the monthly loan amount is meaningless rite? The percentage only will be charge base on annual loan amount. hmm.gif

I applied during the month of July and my interest rate was 1% only. Not sure about those who applied earlier.

My mother don't have the slip gaji. So I need to fill up the Borang Pengesahan Pendapatan.
In the borang, there are two columns : penjaga and pasangan penjaga.
Which column should I fill? My mum's status is Penjaga 2 or Pasangan penjaga?
If my mum is pasangan penjaga, should i include my father as penjaga although he has his own slip gaji??

my total loan is RM30,300.. and it is supposed to be for 4 years..

sure you can but still you need to pay your debts
send money to your parents and ask them help you to pay or come back once or twice in a month to clear your debt yourself

I have done this. What I did was print out the "borang batal dan tolak" from the website here http://www.ptptn.gov.my/web/guest/borang2
Fill it in then you sent it to the states address. Contact your college ptptn representative to ask if they have updated your status and you can start paying them. Well that was what i did. laugh.gif

Hehe, didn't read through the whole thread.

Anybody knows what is the max loan we can get from PTPTN? Any diff between SPM or STPM graduate?

Can we get higher loan overall if our course is maybe 4 years compared to the commonly 3 years course? Example if I want to do ADP, it's 4 years but the fees is maybe just 50k? Any chance can get RM16K X 4 years instead of just RM48k max?

Mind to share, anybody? thanks smile.gif

I have got a question wrt PTPTN.

let's say I have RM 100K in the SSPN a/c does that mean my child can get a loan of another RM 100K? I.e. a ringgit to a ringgit.

The max loan you can get from PTPTN depends on the course you are pursuing. Like me, im taking diploma in business studies which is under arts stream -my full loan is 20K. There should be no difference between SPM and STPM grad, as long as your qualifications are sufficient to apply for apply for the loan.

About ADP im not so sure, maybe others can help you out or u can check the ptptn website.

Hey all,

I've never applied online before for PTPTN, and was wondering what is the process? I tried going to the website, and they asked something like the BSN pin.

1) Yes.
2) After u cancel the loan. you have to pay back the amount they have given u so far + administration charges in 2 months time. Or you can ask PTPTN to delay the payment until u graduate. There is another form for this. For the time being, after u submit the cancellation form, u should wait for the confimation letter from PTPTN and then fill up the other form which will delay the payment. To know more about how to pay back the money, u can refer to the PTPTN website.
3) I am not sure about this. Have to ask some seniors.

Btw, I am also a JPA Scholar like you and I am in the process of cancelling my PTPTN loan. At the moment, I am waiting for the confirmation letter from PTPTN.

Hello everyone,

I would like to inquire:

If a lump sum payment to PTPTN is made, can one be questioned by Lembaga Hasil Dalam Negeri if the amount is big?

Just go to PTPTN One Stop Center at level 2 KL sentral..
Been there, done canceling my loan, because I got other sponsorship, and to get that sponsorship, i need to cancel any current sponsorship and show "Surat Pelepasan" or "release letter" from PTPTN (correct translation or not?)

basically all i did was like this.

-go to PTPTN at KL Sentral,
-ambil nombor (pilih "Pertanyaan") laugh.gif
-ask for loan cancellation, (basically after cancellation, need to repay back in lump sump within 60 days)
-but if you got proof showing that you are still studying, or further study by showing the offer letter (must be certified true copy by Pegawai kelas A),
you can delay the payment until the date you finish study,
-need to fill in "Borang penangguhan bayaran balik" and attach relevant certified true copy with it.
-and to get "Surat Pelepasan", at the PTPTN KL Sentral, got 3 computers provided for public usage, inside there already got template, you need to write a formal letter asking for surat pelepasan, inside the computer already got surat made by some students, so you just need edit it using Microsoft word to change it to your name, address and ic. Printer is provided too, so after print, can straight go submit at the counter (no need to take number)
-"Surat Pelepasan" will be ready in 3 working days..

icon_rolleyes.gif

and remember, after you finish study, you still need to pay back the loan in lump sump.. because you only delay the "perintah membayar" sweat.gif

i dunno, u kena ask your uni first, whether PTPTN officer will come to your uni or not.. if they do, easier mah.. let the uni do the process, u can concentrate on study..
and also, PTPTN loan is only applicable to courses that got approval from MQA or previously known as LAN.
if you are near to KL sentral and got free time, why not go there ask any question you want to know..

open at 8.30am - 5.00pm weekdays i think.

Hi I have a question, I asked my college's staff (taylor's university college) around when will my ptptn payment be made, she told me it's approximately 10th December like that. However, I checked my account today and realized there's RM 7872 credited to my account on 24th Nov (but my loan amount is rm24k for 1 year, so it should be rm12k each time?). This is why now I am not sure if that payment is made by PTPTN or not... How do I confirm this? Should I call PTPTN to ask whether payment has been made? If it is made by them, is it normal that the amount will differ so much?

Nola cause it's a bit weird. I applied PTPTN 2 years back, they do not need it. It is because of the online system?

excuse me, guys, i want to ask that if my father is a businessman and he of course has got no payslip for himself as the business owned by himself....so will the ptptn loan recognize the fact that my father business suffering impact of economic downturn and surely both parents income lower than rm30k annually(monthly less than 1500), therefore i am validated to get the maximum loan of rm66000 to study in ipts??? what solid proof needed to show the low income less than rm1500 of sole trader rather than the payslip of employees...anyone know clearly of this how to show the concrete proof of parental low income when he or she runs sole trader business???

Added on December 7, 2009, 2:58 amI MEANT MORE EXACTLY WILL THE PTPTN LOAN RECOGNIZES THE PROOF WE SUBMITTED FOR THE LOW INCOME OF OUR SOLE TRADER PARENT???WHAT DOES IT TAKE TO VALIDATE THE PROOF?? BY CERTIFICATION OF WHO??? TAX DEPARTMENT?? COMMISSION OF OATH???DONT MAKE FUN OF ME LAH!!!

when u are applying the loan, got many forms to fill in..
one of them asking for this payslip, i cannot remember but i think for those businessman parents, need to see Ketua Kampung, and certify the income..
sorry i cant remember,
are u already filling in the forms??? can you read?
no need to be panic like dat lah,

there are many students like you also..
i think businessman parents more easy to tipu about income, many of my friends got maximum loan..

let's say I have RM 100K in the SSPN a/c does that mean my child can get a loan of another RM 100K? I.e. a ringgit to a ringgit.

for PTPTN loan is available now already.but this is the 1st batch only, got 2 more batch.
there's always 3 batch for students to apply for loan each time PTPTN open the application.
this info i got from my U's HEP

JPA will open the application on mid of the year if i'm not mistaken.

goto ptptn website n check. there shud be plenty info there.
ptptn loan doesnt need gud result for application.
so far for me and my frens, those who are bad in results nvr do anything to "boost" the chances to get loan from ptptn.
we just applied and get the loan.

Can i Ask something about the application for ptptn??
i applied ptptn online last year about march2009, and they approved my application.
but the problem is, i filled the wrong information which i put my aunt name instead of my father's in the guarantor section..
so, during the time of collecting document,i cant pass up mine because of this problem.
how can i reaply ptptn since i have put the wrong info??
or i can buy a new pin and apply again??
i'm currently a 2nd yr student..

how about you guys? received your statement yet?

Sekian, harap maklum."

Hey there everyone! Actually i have a few problems/questions regarding PTPTN. Different people tell me different stuff. Im now all confused as i dont know who's right and all. And i scared my application will be rejected. Perhaps you guys can help me out? icon_question.gif

1) I've enrolled in TUC and wanted to do 2+2 course (UK). But when i receive the letter of acceptance(LOA), it's stated 4yrs degree course. Then i asked my consultant who helped me in registeration earlier.
Me : Why isn't it 2+2 degree course that i want to do. I do not intend to do 4yrs here.
Consultant : It's stated 4yrs in your LOA because we have to put the name of the course in general.
Me : . . . . okaaayyyy. . . .

So i go on, i went to apply online. Then i stumbled upon NAMA PROGRAM.
There are 2 options for me to put here, one is '2+2(UK)' , another one is '4years course in TUC'
I checked the booklet of guideline for PTPTN. They say, NAMA PROGRAM : AS STATED IN LOA. i was like uh-oh!
So i called the TUC, asking them what i should put. They say '2+2(UK)' as is THAT is what i wanna do. I followed.

So guys, did i do the right thing? Im really scared that they would reject me as the program in LOA & online application is different(same course, but diff in terms of Duration Of Program)

2) Where/How can i get the 'Borang Pengesahan Pendapatan' ??

3) About certified documents. they say if government servant(high school) do it is better than taylors chop for u. is it true??

and is there any documents that i need to prepare?

2. if necessary, can i buy another pin to daftar a new online form, then just ignore the previous one?

same situation as i was. just fill RM0 or dash at the gaji column.
for me i just get the Borang Pengesahan Pendapatan and fill it up, faked my own parent signature, give to my lecturer and sign it. then submit
the next month after approval, i get RM3500.

u can buy as much pin as u like and apply new application as much as you like.

*
there are two parts in registration:
1--online registration->depend on internet speed and the network traffic of ptptn website.
->last time i apply online registration, it took me a few times (several days) to complete it.
->the longest period i waited for the website to reply to my request is two hours++.
->duno whether ptptn has improved this or not.
2--submitting the form of online registration
->depend on ptptn when to go to ur IPT to collect the document. Usually a month after the registration close.
->the ptptn officer then will come to ur U and make collection.(3 days)

about the approval, as i recalled, last time i waited about one month or so, then i check my cimb acc, got RM3500 already, means ptptn already approve and bank in the money to my acc. However, this situation may be differ from different U. Depend on ur luck.

Hello everyone, I have a few questions here,

I'm currently a TARC diploma student, going to finish my diploma soon.

1. If I were to continue my advance diploma in TARC, and I intend to continue borrow PTPTN for my advance diploma, what should I do?

2. If i were to continue a degree in another university, and I intent to continue borrow PTPTN for my degree, what should I do?

As I've heard from people saying things like have to do something like extend the paying period, something like that.

Please enlighten me.

TQ

Jitstuck -for TUC students refer to Cik Nazihah, she knows best. Your LOA is 4 years because you're no more birmingham student you're taylors student but taylors have MOU with birmingham due to relationships before, thats why they allow transfer but higher %65 if nt mistaken, a 2:1(you can transfer to other uni with that result also but depends on the uni if they want to accept you or not) ....but dunno why they nvr update ptptn.

PTPTN gives you 10+ years to repay but if you're continuing studies I believe that you can have a penagguhan to your previous loan payment. This is what I know you can tangguh PTPTN until you get a full time job(part time-depends you want to pay or nt). But i remember reading somewhere on ptptn website that you can add on and borrow if you want to continue say degree or masters and I believe you should call them or check their website on this.

I don't think you can do this because you've already declared in the agreement the amount loaned to you kan?
So, it's not possible I believe.

I dun think this is possible , as wat u doing here is like demanding how much u want to borrow , so ,u can imagine how many ppl borrowing ptptn , if everyone act like u .... however, try to fail ur exam , then u can skip the ptptn for next sem drool.gif kidding oni

this is the best part of the news article:

To meet the needs of a generation of IT-savvy tertiary students, PTPTN also gives the flexibility to check their account balances through by sending and receiving My SMS 15888.

It gives the borrower an accurate and fast way to check the balance anywhere using the mobile phone.

“The network is very extensive. But because of some people’s attitudes, we still have defaulters. Then we have to follow the normal legal procedures,” Yunos said in an interview.

For defaulters, they would receive three notices if they do not pay their PTPTN loans for three consecutive months.

“If there is no action taken after the 3rd reminder, we will send a legal notice of demand.

“The notice will be sent by our panel of lawyers. When we file the summons, we are basically withdrawing all existing contract, which means that the entire loan amount is due.

“It means they have breached the original contract. Simultaneously, we will put their names into the Immigration Department’s blacklist database to forbid them from travelling.

“If you can travel, what does it mean? It means you have money,” he said.

oh man..ur words turns out somehow to be sumtin like selfish. u already graduated, using ptptn money and rite now u dun wanna pay.think bout future generation man..

u pay what u borrow.if ur fren dun wanna pay, then u suppose to tell them to do so.
bcoz of ppl who reluctant to pay back their loan juz like u,
others suffer from late ptptn disbursement.

dun be selfish when others need it the most. mayb u r rich, lots of money but ppl who need it
suffer from late payment. buying books, fees n to eat,its not easy to depend only from parent.

ppl like u should think before u say sumtin man.dun be ridiculous.

"not even 10%" even tho its not even 10%, they still pay what they use.
dun juz giving us (who pay back the loan) a bad name - not paying ptptn juz like u.

yes,peacee

It is normal to think of ourselves FIRST before thinking about others.

It might be excusable in situations where we are fighting for survival below the poverty line for food, shelter, clothings but you have internet access which puts you in the top 30% of the world population ?

Can you survive without 'others' ? What if everyone thinks like you ?

What if you end up as a CEO of a manufacturing company and has to decide if you should spend money to reduce pollution from your factories ?

What if you are the owner of a express bus and decide not to maintain it properly e.g. the brakes to have higher profit ? Who the heck cares about accidents. Right ?

there are a lot of student making loan with ptptn and don't/late payback, but how do u know that its less than 10%?
have u been doing the statistical data about this?
i SEE/HEARD those of my frens that din payback, getting themselves with handcuffs by police and go to police station.
one of my roomates faced this problem. He always talking about "Jangan tak bayar balik wit ptptn, nanti kene masuk balai...."

the loan is not durian jatuh from the sky.
its the tax payers' money(i know including ur parents, but still ur parents' tax only take up, like 0.00001% of all malaysian).
pls be grateful and think "trice" before u said anything.

Agree.. You need the letter first. In the meantime, surf around and learn or ask more about PTPTN.
Ask your seniors or family members too.

You can also start doing a budget sheet, planning your future spending. wink.gif

You can open SSPN together with bank account. Just tell the bank officer that this account is for PTPTN. They will automatically open up an account linked with SSPN. The fee is RM20.

Cancellations from loan to scholarship for those who graduate with 1st class would be a bummer.

do ptptn bank in money for student in phase or all in one?
exm: several student in my class got the money last week, but not me..
asked my fren also same,,
their class only 1-2 person only got the payment but not others.

or college control money for student which ptptn already give to them?

Depends on college. Some bank in directly to the bank while some bank in directly to a dummy account which your college will automatically deducts from there. smile.gif

PTPTN office in KL Sentral is just in front of my office building, I went over to enquire on this because mine is 3%.
They told me it is by batch, eventually everyone will be reverted back to 1%.
Just that the extra 2% you paid earlier will be either refunded or brought forward to cover your future payment.

er guys, how does ptptn decide whether to give you a loan or not?
cause i'm afraid that after i get the loan for my first year, they don't approve my loan for the second year or likewise.
and is it easy to get if i study in tarc for diploma courses?
and is there any problem in getting a loan if i finish my diploma courses and i proceed to a degree course in utar.will i still be able to get a loan?
thanks for your help ^^

Hi,

I'm currently a diploma student, and I borrowed from PTPTN for my diploma level course. Now I'm about to finish my diploma course, and I am considering entering Uni to pursue a degree. I require funding, and my only option is PTPTN.

Problem is, recently when I went to some unis(private unis), they told me that if I have already borrowed money during my diploma level, I'll have to pay up my debt before being able to get another loan.

How true is that? I don't plan on working after getting my diploma, and its very likely I'll be continuing my studies within 3 months of my graduation from my diploma course.

Any information regarding the matter is greatly appreciated~!

Hey, quick question - is PTPTN available while one is already in 2nd or 3rd year of a degree, just to finish up the remaining years?

I thought they have like a max borrowing amount whereby if you finish your diploma you can borrow again before you payback. I guess they changed it huh.

As for applying it in second year I believe you can do that......however not sure if the loan is for the entire course or starting from your 2nd/3rd year. However do note that it is up to PTPTN to make the final judgment on this issue, ask you uni PTPTN rep.

No such thing as a transfer. They either allow you to continue by giving you a new loan and ask you to pay back the old one, or don't know if this option is available but they allow you to carry your old loan till you grad.
