Everyone is charged the admin fee. It used to be 4%, then I think they brought it down to 3% but now you can reduce it to 1% if you sign up for auto-deduct your salary through your employer.

But it's just a matter of wordplay. What they are charging you is very simple: it's INTEREST. Like any loan. At even 3%, your ptptn loan interest is higher than many new car loans which are at times only 2.3-2.9%.  rclxub.gif

i

wait . the amount written on the agreement .

eg : pay rm320 monthly for 20 years . ( for my case ) . already include the interest .

is that all i need to pay ? i heard there got hidden fees which is charged to the account every month which is quite scary.

even u pay monthly accordingly, your loan also still will keep increasing .

anyone have the ptptn statement to share about this issue?

PTPTN is a loan, just like how banks offer loans. Whether you like it or not, if you don't want to draw a debt, then don't overpay for your degrees.

PTPTN are for underprivileged people?[cool.gif More like middle class/almost rich people wanting to "purchase" a degree from overpriced colleges/universities.[/]

I've seen many kids using PTPTN money to buy iPhones, Samsung S4 and etc. In fact, many kids are using PTPTN for their hobbies rather than education.

Most underprivileged people I know went through Form 6/matriculation or get sponsors from scholarships, get a spot in local unis and did not whine when they draw and repay PTPTN.

The issue of you donating to rich or poor does not matter, it's the act that matters. How could you say donating money to different people is different, when the act of donating is the same?

Conclusion is, if one does not want to be burdened by PTPTN, then don't draw it. Nobody's forcing you to take the loan, it's an option.

The issue with interest would disappear, if everyone start paying their dues of the loans drawn by themselves.

i agreed on ptptn is still a loan , 1% compared to the others , But not on the Bold statement.
It can be true on somebody ,but it is not represent all the student in private u .
Purchase a degree ? that so wrong bro . Not everybody can enter Matriculation ( aka pra u) . At the end , taking foundation plus degree will be better and faster than taking stpm plus + ( still dunno which degree course you will get).

I have a lot of friend still went to Private U eventhou they got placement in Public Uni , why ? because they got the course which they dont like ,thats why changing to private U so that they can choose which course that they interested on .

If it easy to enter matric , i guess no people want to borrow ptptn already .

i bet you are a very good student ,but your mindset so wrong.
