Standard goodies that comes with the car upon buying: 1)Mazda woven sling bag(those that you use on a No Plastic Bag Day) 2)Emergency Box 3)Electronic Tyre pump( can use to pump basketball/football)
Things to get/bargain from Sales Advisor 1)Tinting voucher(price might have been inflated though) 2)Smart tag 3)Umbrella 4)Thermos 5)Mazda Rm30 bag(you can try your luck) 6)Cash rebate(you can try your luck) 7)FREE BODY KIT(might be limited offer)
What the Malaysian Mazda2 dont have compared to other markets? 1)No I-Eloop 2)No I-Active Sense 3)No Smart City Brake 4)No Signature LED headlamps and DRL 5)No cruise control
Why should you buy a Mazda2?
1) For it's price(RM88k), its the only car with a cool HUD that displays your speed including navigation that will appear on it(If you opted for the optional navigation) 2) The only car in it's class to feature a reverse camera as standard(in exception of Iriz and Myvi). 3) The only car in it's class to have engine idle stop(I-STOP) feature 4) Better fuel efficiency with it's higher fuel compression ratio 14.0:1 and efficient Engine/Transmission combo. (Traffic route: PJ Seapark KFC/Shell Station ---> Jalan 222------>Federal highway----->Oasis Square, Ara Damansara------>Jalan pelukis, Glenmarie------>Empire,Subang-----> Federal highway------> Jalan 222------->KFC) AVG SPEED:75KMph, 75% Highway 25% City, Driver: little-sama
(Traffic route: Klang to KLIA via NKVE and Elite) AVG SPEED:85kmph, 90% Highway 10% City, Driver:little-traveller
5) Unlike Toyota(Old vvti engine) or Honda(Old i-vtec engine Not Earth Dreams engine), the latest Skyactiv-G engine and 6-Speed auto trans are in place. 6) The exterior looks and interior looks is well balance and is a contender for the Miss Hong Kong crown inside out(with the LED it will be crowned immediately). 7) Paddle shift is available for you to play with unlike Honda's City/Jazz as well as Toyota. 8) Cool control knob like BMW's 9) Best looking gear knob that will anchor it to the Mr.Universe title. 10) Sport mode for you to play with. 11) Like a Ford Fiesta, it has Voice control for the MZD connect. 12) Mazda offer Free 3 years service. 13) Have a go with it's handling. 14) Got Walk-away autolock feature
What will stop you from buying this beaut?
1) Small interior space(Rear passenger space). Ridiculously small for a 4metre-long car. Its a front wheel drive car but yet it has a huge bump(its a really huge bump) right at the center of the rear passenger seat. 2) Resale Value and maintenance. Not as good as Toyota and Honda in almost all aspects. 3) No ash tray for you to put coins. Only 1 glove box, 2 Cup holders, and 1 bottle compartment on each side of the front doors. At the back, you only get a pocket pouch on the front passenger seat for you to place magazines and etc. 4) Aircon is not as good as Proton and its not very pleasant when I-stop activates. 5) MZD connect has no mirror-link feature that is available on a Honda. 6) Might get irritated and must get use with the 6-speed auto. It's abit slow to react but when it does it does(Mazda purposely made it so for better fuel consumption). 7) No armrest 8) Only 2 airbags(for those safety cautious drivers out there) 9) No cruise control(for those who wants everything in the market) 10) Engine noise inside the car is great but not so for rain noise. The rain noise is bad. 11)Only 3 years warranty against Honda/Ford's 5 years warranty
Basic FAQ 1) Car only has 1 rear fog light on the right cheek for HB. For Sedan its right at the center. 2) I-stop can be turned off upon starting up the car(Must turn off everytime you start your car) 3) Switching your gear to N will sometimes activate I-STOP 4) I-STOP will not activate whenever you Full Blast your aircon fan speed / 18 degrees celcius, steering is not straight or signal light is on. 5) Sedan's remote key has extra button to open the boot. No such feature for HB. 6) HB has rear wiper. No such feature for Sedan. 7) Interior space for HB and Sedan is the SAME 8) Sedan has more boot space but less practicality for parking against HB. 9) Sedan's rear light doesn't have the same cool LED light like Mazda 3. Its just an ordinary shiny chrome red paint inside. 10)No autolock feature. There isnt any button for you to lock all doors as well. Have to lock all doors via the driver's lock. 11) In case you need to replace your Tyres, http://www.goodyear.com.my/tyre_details.asp?tyre_code=exec
Stuff to inspect upon before signing off to receive your car 1)HUD Snowflake cracks
0 to 100kmph for 1.5 Skyactiv-G HB by Youdontknowmyname
Other cars to test to challenge Mazda2
Sporty Hatchback 1)Ford Fiesta 1.5/Ecoboost - More power and better handling 2)Honda Jazz - More practical 3)Kia Rio - Cheaper 4)Volkswagen Polo 5)Peugeot 208 6)Proton Iriz - Buy 1 Mazda2 can get you 2 entry level Iriz 7)Perodua Myvi - Buy 1 Mazda2 can get you 2 entry level Myvi 8)Proton Satria Neo R3 9)Mitsubishi Mirage - Better claimed fuel Consumption 10)Suzuki Swift 11)Renault Clio
Sedan 1)Ford Fiesta Sedan 2)Honda City - More practical 3)Toyota Vios - More practical and superior Resale value 4)Nissan Almera - More practical 5)Mitsubishi Attrage - Better claimed fuel consumption 6)Volkswagen Polo Sedan 7)Proton Saga FLX - Buy 1 Mazda 2 can almost get you 3 entry level SAGA

in my previous car (swift), I modded alot of stuff, the sound system was the best of all and it sounded really good, suspension and rims all made the car look good too. But what it also did it made the ride harsh, the wear and tear of anything to do with the suspension or the bush, the engine mounting, and everything that is movable deteriorated over time as well. In that 8 years I own that car and when I sold it - I compared to my brother's myvi which was stock and the ride was so much comfy cause... nothing was touched.
Performance mod only for people who have the money to maintain and know what they are doing. ICE and styling is more for laymen people like myself.

Nice headlamp design, but would the headlamp leveling knob works for third party lights?
Based on Google Translate the TS said it took 14 hours of work and from the looks of the design + 14 hours of glue ripping, I'd say this is a retrofit...
Resell value not good compare with toyota or honda, Parts expensive. Not much room in rear seats. Other than these, everything is perfect Any way it's japan's car of the year (2014-2015) which beats the mercedes C class.

Just aware there is v2... can someone answer my above questions.. Tq
From what I understand, the ori Dunlop Enasave is designed to last longer and save FC. So bear in mind the increase of FC and tyre price when u change.
BTW... RRP for potential replacement tyres:
Tyre Brand Size RRP (RM)
Michelin Energy XM2 205/60R16 460 Michelin Energy XM2 215/60R16 484 Continental CPC2 215/60R16 390 Pirelli P7 215/60R16 410 Yokohama 215/60R16 C Drive-2 330

going from 185 to 215, you may need to change rims too
tyre's diameter from stock 24.7" (185/60R16) drop to 24" (195/55R16)
185/60R16 vs 195/55R16 Diameter 24.7" vs 24.4" (-1.2%) Width 7.28" vs 7.68" (+5.5%) Sidewall 4.37" vs 4.22" (-3.4%) Circumference 77.7" vs 76.8" (-1.2%) Revs/Mile 815.6 vs 825.5 (+1.2%)
All Specs are in Inches. Speed Difference Tire 1 Tire 2 20 mph 19.8 30 mph 29.6 40 mph 39.5 50 mph 49.4 60 mph 59.3 70 mph 69.1 (dial show 112.6km/h but actual speed 111.2km/h) 80 mph 79 90 mph 88.9
So in the end, you are safe from speed traps. Not sure what about the FC though, since need to spin the wheels more to achieve the same distance (+1.2%). So if as claimed 5.5l/100km (18.2km/l) +1.2% = 5.57l/100km (17.97km/l), full tank 42l, so every full tank you lost 9.66km. All based on theoretical numbers.
I believe some tyre shops will import it in eventually, just a matter of time and price.

The only 195/55R16 tyre I can find is RM1k for now.
Nice, if it is available there, then we can ask some Dunlop shops to import it in (more expensive) or wait locally-made tyre manufacturers (Continental/Dunlop) to churn out this size. If there is market for this size, they can churn out this size. Time will tell, most probably after 1.5 years or 60,000km, only then you will need to find replacement, unless got nailed at the side wall (touch wood).

yeah... but I see Continental Malaysia like never carry Enasave series. Only got the formula D series. But Dunlop Formula series usually <RM300. If got size den good liao. If not den die liao...

I could see it's an urgent issue for us, if we could not find tire for our rim. Anyone when doing their servicing can ask the staff in service center? They should have ready stock for us to change if really something bad happens to our tire.
Then, no 1 will mod the headlamp within the warranty period
I believe nothing should be done until warranty is expired. Else, you are giving them a reason to deny warranty, unless you change back to original.

Apparently yes.

But in choosing City you let go the "Wow factor", leather interior, sporty engine and handling and gain resale value.
Just want to add something about the struggling hill climb. Apparently, the 5th-6th gear only will struggle during hill climb at 2krpm. Tried using manual mode downshift to gear 3 managed to climb with light paddling at 2krpm at about 40km/h. Upshift to 4 for more speed if the hill is not so steep.

LLumar, Raytech, 3M, VKool are top of the range super expensive stuff. If you willing to pay the premium then good la. If not look for others. I took the RM1100 package from this: http://www.car-tint.com.my/p/hamelPromotion
If security not really a concern for u then maybe the RM499 6 mil package good enough for you.

Then you should explorer 3rd party tint shop options around your area. As long as they can give u 5 yrs or more warranty, ur acceptable level of heat rejection and your acceptable of JPJ compliance den enough. No need to pay more than RM1.2k for tinting. Unless the tint can make ur car bullet resistant.

Tint over there are much much more expensive. Try go around KK and ask for price. Should be cheaper without Llumar, but Llumar is one of the famous tint in Malaysia.
I asked at Sunway, KL area, the price for Llumar tint is about RM1600 for Crystal grade, haven't nego, just walk in ask around.

Remember to check the rim offset as well. You don't want to buy a rim offset too outwards/inwards and bump your fenders, or wheelwell. Happened to my Myvi before, and don't trust the tyre shop selling you the rim saying can fit can fit, 99% cannot fit and have problem due to wrong offset, yet they want to push their sales, later got tyre rubbing sound against the fender or inner wheelwell, then the tyre shop say, sold is sold, go change your absorber to harder so won't happen, then I 120% you will fuuuuuuu him. Do your research about the rim offset for Mazda 2 then buy as accordingly.

I was offered RM1.8k for 97% infrared rejection with 10 years warranty. Additional RM700 for +2% infrared rejection and additional 3 years warranty. I didn't take it.

worked on mine. Smart Tag never have problem so far. GPS lock time also no diff for my Nexus 5 and Redmi 2. But my wife's Note 3 went haywire.
My SA give me Llumar tint, not sure which, but mentioned it is anti-thief type. Now stands at 70% windscreen 50% the rest. Come 1st May should be 70%-50% front windows-30% rear passenger and rear window.
I am thinking of whether to wait till then to put 30%.
Then, inb4, postpone again.
anti-thief is security film which is usually 5mil and above. Hamel 6 mil 85% IR rejection package RM499.

lol did a quick google for 185/60/R16 tyre stock availability in malaysia market but nth turns up.. is it a risk for us drivers?
If anything happen, temp solution (other than the spare) is to get different slightly off spec size? Sorry, I am noob on this tyre sizing thingy. Appreciate if some1 can enlighten me. .=)

Just wanna share some amazing fc story here. The fc did improved after the first service. I used 1 litre of petrol for 23km just now. (4.3l/100km) No jam and mostly on highway.

Can, tell the branch sales manager to change your SA, since the branch want your sales, and they will assign you another if you ask.

Great fc ! Diesel version probably kill those hybrid.
That is Mazda Skyactiv for you, then again, run until empty tank to know the true FC, my '06 Honda City clocked at 19km/l 1st drive after full tank but after running till empty, 14.8 km/l. Fuel tank are bigger at the top so the fuel decreases slowly until if past the half way mark. Fuel indicator are usually linearly calibrated to the float in fuel tank, hence, the computer thought the car used up fuel at a lower rate then.
I am curious what is the rpm when Mazda 2 is travelling at 110km/h?

no wonder the 1st drop can last for 150-200km, thx for ur info 110km/h, speed 6, rpm below 3k
3k rpm for 130kmh. 110kmh around 2.5k (not so sure) but around that.

My current '06 Honda City (flywheel CVT) clocked 2.6k rpm @ 110km/h, while a friend's Vios (4 spd AT) clocked 2.8k(?) rpm @ 110km/h.
It seems that 1.5L engine cars are clocked more than 2.5k rpm @ 110km/h, so if Mazda 2 can beat my 14.8km/l full tank run, then I am looking forward to this Skyactiv technology.
The fuel consumption on this vehicle is absolutely amazing, I've been driving everyday for 5 days now and the fuel bar only went down by 1/3 of the first bar. 1/3 of the first bar for 5 days of driving (Subang to KL and back everyday)! I average 60km/h - 75km/h when I drive. Definitely one of the upsides of having this car.

14.8km/l for full city driving? The 2005/6 city can definitely do 18-19km/l on highway at legal speed limit and i don't mean just from the trip computer reading but from refuelling calculation If go by the trip computer, i've seen 25km/l at constant 80km/h for a distance of about 5km till i run into traffic Prius is known to clock 3l/100km at constant 80kmk/h and number around 4l/100km is common for daily city commute
Would really love to see the diesel M2 here. Wouldn't mind paying 95k for it if equipped with 6 airbags
I think many non Mazda driver still don't know how the new m2 calculate the fc. The Mazda connect has an application can will show the average fc on everytime we start the engine till we stop. I could see the figure increase and decrease depends on traffic condition.

But do M2 have a overall fuel consumption calculator based on trip meter, the one you can reset? In '06 City, FC computer will calculate based on the total trip traveled after last reset. For the fuel consumption, I don't know where the computer get the figures from.

My 1st tank can get 16.25km/L. 50%highway, 50%city+jam. So far satisfy for FC
M2 i-Stop should give some savings in trafficlight conditions. I noticed in one of my test drive that more brake force is required to activate the i-Stop. Yet, very little brake force is required to brake during normal drive, I could just rest my feet on the brake pedal and it would gives a lot of braking power to the car. I wonder would anyone be unaware that because if the brake pedal is not pressed harder, the i-Stop won't function, hence, giving lower FC. Maybe they could have better FC in city if i-Stop is properly utilised.

Sometimes the istop bad mood it wouldn't stop no matter how you brake or change To N. I would say it's kepala ada angin.
sometimes the MZD will display the reason why i-stop not kicking in. on the FC page where they show a car body 1. A lot reasons are affecting i-stop to kicks in such as ur tyre position, air-con, temperature to name a few.
But for my driving habit, cause I drive in very jam road, usually if short jam I will not switch to N. (Usually I switch to N will trigger i-stop immediately). Instead of that, I press brake softly so that i-stop wont kicks in, worry if the car keep on start n stop engine gonna make the battery die faster(I not sure is it true or not).

try to look on the i-stop indicator light below ur trip meter, if light up mean it's ready while N and brake, i just press brake pedal as usual (not harder) the i-stop will kick-in i believe that indicator light is measure your battery level whether enough to supply all the electronic components during i-stop kick-in

I've read in the manual that there's this brake assist thing that helps you with how much brake pressure you have to use. I'm not sure if it is available for Malaysian variant. As it sounds like a i active sense to me which is not part of our variant.
I've never had this brake issue. The only time when I don't get istop to work is during hot weather (my aircon is at full blast and put very low temp.) or my car is on a slope. Even small slopes will not allow me to go into istop mode. Other than that, everytime I expect it to work, it works. I'm so used to it that I don't have to look at my dashboard anymore to know if istop will kick in or not.

what they got less: -Fabric Seat.
Will this spec come to Malaysia?
They are using this as a test mull to try out the Euro2 diesel I believe. Japanese spec M2 has rear drum brakes. But, M2 Skyactiv-D engines will have to wait until Euro5 diesel implementation, 2016/2018? Or inb4 delayed again. Mazda might have Skyactiv+ technology by then, who knows?

It might be because your aircon is switched to the lowest temperature setting? So i-Stop won't kick in because your cabin temperature is not achieved. As quoted below, a lot of reasons, steering wheel must be straight?

M2 don't have i-ELoop (the one using capacitors, CKD M3 also doesn't has it), only i-Stop, hence the electrical components of the car are sucking the juice away from the electronics. Don't worry, since the car is drawing the electricity from battery all the time. The engine alternator is there to recharge the battery when needed. i-Stop won't use battery to restart the engine, it uses fuel combustion to restart, don't know why it works in Skyactiv engines not on normal engines, ask the Mazda engineers who designed the Skyactiv engines. Hence the restart bit rougher than hybrid cars.

Brake assist is available in Malaysia variant, as well in a lot of other cars like Vios and City. We don't have the i-Active Sense package such as Active City Braking, where it will help you brake automatically if it sense you are going to collide in front at speeds 4 to 30km/h.
For me It didn't need to. As long as the car stop, the i-Stop will kick in. For me so far at night no issues.

Tentatively 2016, depends on when the Euro5 diesel will be implemented in Malaysia. If Euro5 delay, Skyactiv-D sure delay.
Mazda had invested a lot in Thailand for building M2 and got Thailand EEV incentive. Unless Mazda willing to build another line to cater for M2, M2 CKD is not going to happen.
M3 is different, there are no production outside Japan for right hand drive, hence, Malaysia gets it first due to Malaysia EEV incentives.

Just looked through Yokohama's Tyre catalogue. Looks like they also don't produce 185-195/60R16. Only 185-195/55R16. Not sure Malaysia have it or not yet.

Diesel are high torque but low HP. Good at winning acceleration race but not very high topspeed. No doubt diesel FC is better compared to petrol variant, but the pollution NOx and black smoke generate under hard acceleration are its drawback.
QUOTE(murasame85 @ Apr 9 2015, 09:37 AM)
probably because of turbocharge? im not really know about the power thing actually. hahaha
QUOTE(t3chn0m4nc3r @ Apr 9 2015, 09:40 AM)
I not really that good but usually turbo charged cars should have more both horse power and torque and not gain 1 loose another.
Plus... the max torque at 1500-2500rpm...
Due to the variable geometry turbo, constant torque can be achieved at low rpm range, the one we normally drive in, city & highway. But not the racing rpm range. Hence, more FC.
QUOTE(murasame85 @ Apr 9 2015, 09:42 AM)
based on i read. the D 104hp is on 4k rpm. while the G 114hp on 6k rpm. does this mean D is more powerful?
No, diesel engines generally has lower rpm redline, but that torque is addictive, provided the engine is turbocharged, natural aspirated diesel engine on the other hand, has bad performance. It is like chocolate vs sh*t.
Under current diesel quality yes it is is very polluting. But when Euro 5 diesel comes, diesel would be much cleaner, probably cleaner than petrol. I m looking forward to Euro 5. I don't mind paying a bit more for Euro 5.
Bought this dashcam from amazon. It can capture razer sharp video 1080p @ 30 fps. Very bright & clear at night too. Hide the power cable in door seal rubber makes it totally invisible. Mount it behind the rear mirror. Support 32gb micro SD, can record up to 5 hours of video on full HD 30fps. Highly recommended.
basically the diesel variant is more for naik bukit at 1500-2500rpm...
Yup, not really, but it can accelerate faster as in the rpm increment is faster.

Less polluting for sulphur content, but NOx and black smoke (incomplete burned fuel) is dependant on the diesel engine combustion chamber/piston head design. According to Mazda, the Skyactiv-D can lower these two polluting component.

So far only the following have 185/60R16 1. Dunlop Enasave EC300+ (OEM Thailand M2) 2. Toyo Proxes R39 (OEM Japan/Europe M2)
Other alternatives I got so far:
Michelin Energy XM2 185/55R16 RM260-RM300 Michelin Primacy HP 195/55R16 RM1k+ (can forget about this 1) Continental CPC2 185/55R16 RM260+/- Continental CPC2 195/50R16 RM270 (The Yokohama shop near my house recommend this) Apparently that shop don't have any R16 Yokohama tyres.

I think 205/55R16 is more similar to the current wheelsize. (0.6 % larger only), else it will affect our speedometer and mileage reading a lot.

2) u willing to pay about RM400-500 per piece for it.
Might as well buy the original size from SC if RM400-500. LoL! Anyways, it will be around that price if change outside too. Either Toyo or Dunlop, hopefully other manufacturers are going to make this size within this year, else, cham lor.

What's there to worry about tyres when most ppl not receiving their cars yet. I m sure there are alternative to this size.
Why not to worry if one get a tyre nailed at the sidewall and your alternative is to drive with 3 big and 1 small diameter (not the spare wheel) wheels?

Yup if only try to find during the incident, it will become big pain to us loh. So better reflect this as urgent issue to Mazda ao at least there is direct replacement which are ready for us. And have to make sure ready in all regions.
Can I change my dealer after my loan is approved? I scare they don't have Aluminum Metallic after the SA told me they will have it and can deliver this month to me. The SA now seems like want to go back on her words.

I am thinking of cancelling too, if my SA really go back on her words, she chase me so fast for loan approval, now I chase her for car, now I can feel her trembling in fear cannot deliver the car.
For your case, if your loan is approved, but you haven't pay any downpayment right? Only booking fee. You can cancel without any problem. No harm to you, and you can get back your deposit, I believe, give them reason like you want a bigger car now because your family moved into your house for whatever funny reason you can give. Try go to Setia Alam Mazda, or Old Klang Road Mazda, they are desperate for sales, RM500 discount upon first enquiry and RM500 booking fee now.

If the loan is approved, it should take a few days to change the documents, rather than getting no discount and freebies and no car coming for 1 month.

I tot i-stop uses battery also to start the engine. Hence the battery is a bit special(bigger and more expensive compare to normal battery).
Mazda's iStop still uses battery to fire the spark plug to ignite the fuel in the selected cylinder.
The difference is that it does not use the starter like other carmakers. Using the starter will suck more battery juice compare to just firing just one spark plug.

compared to 60 for sure 55 is closer. 185/55R16 is Honda City Spec if I not mistaken. You won be able to get rid of the weird slim tyre look of 185s...

just check the infrared, UV or TSER rejection rate in % and compare. Of course the higher the better while maintaining VLT 50% for side windows and 70% for windscreen.

21k to be exact~~ still M2 is still the best B segment out there~~ oh and many girls like it haha
Actually M2 is the sportiest B segment. Not the best.
It has the wow factor in exchange for (compare to Honda City full spec) space, # of airbags (not so important to me), cruise control, HDMI/mirrorlink (I want this very badly now) and resale value.
Just spoted Falken 912 195/55/R16 RM260... but not everyshop has this brand... The size is perfect but not sure about the rubber...

It will be the BEST B Segment if it comes with the LED headlights.
Mirrorlink to me not tht important since your not suppose to BUSY PLAY Handphone and drive at the same time. In exception of Waze of course
For resale value, as mentioned before in V1, drive for 10 years, what car also no value. U just lose 4-5k more on a Mazda.
It will be near perfect if it comes with at least I-Eloop to help save more petrol(sportiest, decent power and torque but yet best fc by miles ahead of its rivals).
It will be perfect if not because of whats concerning us right now, TYRE REPLACEMENT!!! Wtf o???

The tyre means we nees to replace 4 together if only one of our tyre is not working. But the price is reasonable lah. I am sending email to Mazda to push them made the tyre available for us.

Bi-Xenon Projector Headlights for me.
With mirror link den no need to play with your phone and drive. It's strictly for Google Maps and Waze since other GPS system need GPS coordinate to go certain places and may not be as updated.
I don't intend to drive my M2 for more than my loan duration cuz after 3 years might need to change many major parts to maintain drivability of the car. I experienced this with my Vios deswai I rather buy new car rather than maintain old car.
Don't so biased la. I also M2 owner ma.
Tyre replacement option already out there just not exact same size as ori tyre. Honda City owners (those full spec or those upgraded to Honda OEM 16" RIM) also dowan use ori size.

At least if really one tyre fails, can replace just one tyre @ RM400, rather than change the whole set at RM260 x 4 = RM1040.

I asked one SA at another dealer about Soul Red and she said Soul Red if need touch up is harder and more expensive (3 layers), advised me if I don't mind the Soul Red, then can go ahead (not sure is it because she want my sales because I asked about Soul Red and Aluminum Metallic.
If what she said is true about 3 layers, then most probably the production line for CKD is not catered for these complex paintjob, and also QC will be harder, rather have other colours than a horrible QC Soul Red, later not named Soul Red but Angry Red.

Last I asked from my friend, his supplier is bringing in Toyo Proxes R39 for 185/60R16, should be arriving in one or two months after this 1/4/2015 GST mess, since a lot of businesses are playing "wait n see" game before 1/4/2015. So at least, for those who like being original and don't like to mod car (like me), have this option. Good or average tyres, it is just a B-segment M2, not a RX-7. Drive from A and can arrive safely at B with some personal enjoyment in the car is enough for me.

Used Falken tyres on a Land Cruiser (my dad's) once before, every corner sure got screeching sound, even cornering at 40km/h. It could be the tyre sidewall is rounder, hence the tyre screeching sound when taking corners. Sound like drifting, but looks like understeering. Later changed to BFGoodrich & Michelin tyres, no more screeching sound on both. So either something is wrong with Falken tyres design or the secret recipe used to make the tyres.

R15 can get for RM250-300 similar price to Michelin XM2.
Should be expensive. Performance tyres.
Could look for 205/55R16 (+0.8% bigger than original), according to Toyo, 205/55R16 T1R can fit 5.5j rims. Not sure about others, but according to this blog, price for 205/55R16 Michelin is about RM458 (XM2) to RM550 (Pilot Sport 3).
Only have to watch out whether it rub against the fender or wheelwell, +1cm on each side of the wheel.

Sorry to hear that, this is what M2 owners are fearing before you mentioned SC has stock. You are many M2 owner savior. So tyre problem solved. Expensive a bit for now, but better than cannot change at all.
Last time my S-Hybrid Serena got nailed at the sidewall even before collect car, they ask me to go SC change without charges, asked what is the price, quite expensive, something like RM600/pc? Bridgestone Ecopia.
little-sama Time to update the front page, Mazda Bangi SC sells RM350/pc Dunlop original tyre.
QUOTE(little-sama @ Apr 10 2015, 04:29 PM)
Hopefully lo. dun tell me purposely import those tyres to cater for M2? M2 market not sufficient yet man
Supplier will import the size, just don't know what is the price and availability at every tyre shop, most probably tyre shop be like "you want can order for you" type, don't keep stock. As always doing business, if can sell by volume, stock up in volume to get cheaper price since other competitors are also eyeing on the market; if cannot sell by volume, then don't stock and priced it higher a bit because need to earn the same amount to make a living.

Then die. becoz during tht time when u need it, where on earth can u find tyres
Use spare tyre until they received the stock, usually within two or three days, even my old '06 Honda City 185/55R15(?), not everywhere has this size. They recommend change to 195/50R15.

55 to 50 no big diff... But 60 to 50 can pretty much diff Liao until the ride height also can see diff.

Hey guys wanna ask is this normal at the brakes????
How long have you had the car? I've had mine for 2 weeks now, been driving through puddles of water a lot (no choice), and no signs of rust on mine yet.
Only problem I've had with the car so far is that the passenger side vanity mirror keeps dropping out. The first time it dropped out was as soon as I removed the plastic from the visor.
At first I thought it was some secret compartment for cards or something but the more I think about it, the more I feel its loose or something is broken. Anybody else with this problem?

Going thought puddle of water won't have this problem, it is the long exposure to moisture after driving will make the disc brake rust, i.e. after parking at home at night and suddenly it rains overnight. After the rain, there will be a thin layer of brownish rust on the disc, but after you drive and use the brake, the rust will come off, and back to shiny disc. The brownish rust on the rim may be due to some water rolling off the disc and onto the rim.

same like u 2 weeks!!! the rusty dirt on the rims can wash off easily but on the disc so susah to clean coz block by the rims... but why is it rusty liddat so fast?? isn't it suppose to be design to brake??

Yes, disc brakes are made of cast iron, not stainless steel. Hence it will rust, but if I am not mistaken, for every 2 to 3 brake pads change, most probably the disc will be thin and need to be changed due to wear and tear. No worries about rusty/dirty brake disc, no need to clean. It is normal. If it ain't dirty, it ain't working.

same here, i believe it came from the inner part. When the road is straight and smooth there is no vibrating sound but once u going thru a bad road or bump u will hear it vibrate. seems like im not the only one facing this issue. Anyone else notice the vibrating sound here?

Can elaborate further on how the vibration noise like? is it sounds like two plastic or metal knocking each other?

Nope don't have sound coming from there. I have sound from the front ceiling part of the car, near where the lights are. It vibrates when I go thru bumps, but when I hold it firm the sound is gone. So I'm gonna ask SC to see if they have a solution for me.
I remember someone also mentioned "tick tick" sound from odometer. I don't have that.
yes @shujiro89. the sound should be two pieces of plastic vibrating knocking each other. do experience this? its kinda obvious and annoying
Nope, didn have that noise. but hv tick-tack sound from the odometer 5 secs after engine ignition.. this is the relay sound, so can't do anything about it.
By the way, normally, rust only gets built up on the rotor surface when the car is not used for a whole day or 2 as your brake pad would remove the rusts for you unless you don't use the brakes. On the sides is normal but shouldn't occur so soon. Suggest to seek advice from SC 1st since still under warranty.

SC will most probably advise you it is normal to rust. Also, the disc rotors will be changed when the brake pads changed 2 to 3 times due to the thinning of brake rotors.
You get it sprayed, and later change rotor, rust again, spray again?
I am looking for a B segment car, interesred with M2. But is it worth to buy comparr with Vios and City?
Appreciate your expert analysis.
It has been discussed a lot already. If you need a family car Honda City is ur car, if you want sportiness, M2 is ur car, if you want empty value for money den Almera is ur car, if you are Toyota fan boy den Vios is God car.

how are all your driving experiences with the car? I've recently did a drive on a mountain road near hulu Langat. it is a blast to drive...literally horse and rider as one. share your experiences here later might want to change the rims to wider ones then do touge drive

hey ya...is me!! the tic tac sound until today i also dont know where it come from. when u start car after 5- 10 sec it gonna happen and the latest one when i pass by bump the sound will come out again.. pening lo...
Last weekend went to KL. Very save fuel vehicle... i use about 60 ringgit from pg-->kl-->pg .. Still remember my Myvi have to use about Rm100 for 2 way. and the driving experience awesome.. Just the wind noise very noisy when it reach the speed of 140-150.. but i believe this can be improve by installing sound proof.. i very delight with this car CHEER~~..
last Monday i was going home from office, raining, no street lights(maybe down due to lighting strike), speed about 90-100km/h, the motorcycle in front on the left lane suddenly cut out immediately after giving out signal , i am able to brake & avoid the motorcycle by going right lane without losing control... totally impressed with the car, literally horse and rider as one
Mine was 90km/h. Wouldn't buldge from there. Need roughly 2.2k rpm to reach 110km/h...
I have attained about 6.2 both ways cause I push bit half way through - reset my avg fuel consumption a day before from 7.4 down to 6.2 and managed about 600km full tank (sped about 20mins in Ipoh cause of an emergency).
I think yes about the same with the RPM.
However, after speeding about 20mins with sports mode on, and when i off the car the radiator was still running to cool down the engine for at least 10mins.
I found my Red Sedan is quite easy get stone chip even when driving in low speed. Any suggestion?
coating/auto-detailing.

Nice. Mine went up to 9L/100km on city driving for the past week.
I have did the coating once get the car, but still get lots stone chips
that looks pretty big. Go back to your auto-detailing shop and see if they can do anything about it. If you're lucky, it's the coating that got peeled off and the white thing is just a stain. Else you will need to repaint it.
Averagely glass coating memang RM2k while "plastic coating" RM1k. Both are similar but have different lifetime. There's a shop at Kuchai Lama 88 auto spa which do coating for about RM500+. I didn't do there cuz I did my tinting in Shah Alam and 1 shot do coating there cuz lazy to wait and go all the way to Kuchai Lama.

Never heard of rubber coating.
Glass typically last 3 years while plastic last 2 years or less depending on stone chipping and maintenance.
Go visit 88 Auto Spa. You can search for their facebook page.

just want to ask how much does it cost to do coating for mazda 2 and also price for wrapping the car. still contemplating on which to do
From what I understand from asking people who has done coating, it does not really protect against stone chips as much as you expect it to, unless you're talking about paint protection film (ppf), but that sh*t is very very the expensive apparently. Coating and ppf are 2 different products. That's what I've gathered so far.
I've not done any coating, I'm relying on waxing to protect my paint which does the same job as coating. Just have to pray that you don't get stone chips. Driving as "slow" as 80km/h is not slow for a stone chip, try hurling a stone at 80km/h at someone and see if they get hurt or not.

It doesn't give 100% protection. Even ppf has it's limits. But it will save your car from small stone chipping. Waxing does not protect your paint against scratches, bird droppings and other chemicals.

No la. Matte look is either paint or sticker. No coating can give you matte look 1.
It's just sort of a name given to compare the durability.

I thought wax does the same job as coating just that wax needs to be reapplied every 2 - 3 months.
Heard that bird droppings will "eat" into coatings, unless you wash it off straight away. You will then have to apply the coat over that area again, which is not cheap.
With this limited understanding in mind, I've decided to wax instead of coat

it does not straight away eat up your coating, if u clean asap then should be fine
headlight no need. Go do smoking/tinting for headlight better.

Not really. Wax gives ur car shine and a lil more water proofing to your paint and that's it and often very thin. Coating is much thicker than wax hence the durability. My coating needs to do maintenance twice per year but free for 1st session.
Due to the thickness, bird droppings and scratch will not immediately affect the body paint but with just wax, a light scratch will immediately affect your paint and dependning on the extent of the scratch, you may or may not save it by waxing thoroughly.
have a microfibre cloth and turtle wax quick detailer in your car all the time so when you have any bird droppings you can remove it quickly. You can get it in EON

Was quoted by Soft 99 glass coating (5 years warranty) at RM2400 i think...
Still go on traditional wash & wax. Wax it once a month, pretty rewarding after the hardwork, took ard 2 hours to wash & wax, using soft 99 liquid wax. Save me RM72 (RM12 for wash & vacuum, RM60 for wax)

I'm a lazy guy so I send to car wash shop.
The only part I'm not sure what to do are the leather seats. I've asked around and some say just use a leather cleaning solution, some say use baby oil.
Read online and people are saying there is a urethane coating on your leather seats that is the one that you must treat, and not the actual animal skin itself because of this coating over it. So have to find a leather cleaning solution that replaces/helps preserve the coating because it wears off overtime. I don't know lah!!!

Resale value based on history u can forget about it if you choose Mazda (whichever model) but I have confidence Mazda RV will catch up in the future though not sure about M2 yet. Maintenance cost is pretty much standard for engine oil, air filter, oil filter, etc but Mazda and Nissan give 3 years or 60000km whichever comes 1st. After that 3 years, drive shaft, suspensions, bearings, etc would probably hurt more than the other brands. In this sense, Nissan would cost the lowest.
Plastic feel is pretty standard for all cars but M2 feels a bit more premium due to the PU leather finishing and carbon fiber trim here and there. Plus the MZD connect screen and the control knob feels like BMW or Audi.
All the things I said in my previous post still stands. If you intend to buy as family car and travel long distance with family, you should consider Honda City. Vios only selling point is the projector headlamp and resale value.

a good value car still the honda city. even honda hater must to admit that. it practical, stylish, good resale value, cheaper maintenance, more airbag. It still the king of everyday hero car in Malaysia.
But when come to something around the hairpin, mazda do better. it the "most" beautiful car in B segment (my personal opinion). none in B segment can beat it interior sexiness (where you gonna be for whole driving time). ...cheaper maintenance...
I would like to say from personal experience (My mom drove a Honda City and I drove a Vios both cars about same age). Honda City maintenance (parts price besides engine oil, filters, brake pads and tyres) is higher than Vios. I have colleague driving Almera and most parts, Almera's is the cheapest. So Honda maintenance is only cheaper than Mazda but not cheaper than Toyota or Nissan. Nissan parts are the cheapest by the books.

I think we really have no idea, because M2 owner still have 3 years free maintenance. The price and availability of parts are generally determine by how popular is the car model. M2 is global model, and if it's CBU in thailand, I think the parts will not be difficult to get. Just hope that more M2 will be sold in Malaysia. BTW, anyone know how long is the waiting list for M2 now??
And if it's CX5, people will not even think twice, because it's everywhere in malaysia, so it must be affordable to own one.

Dear Expert (3 of you),
Thanks a lot for your previous advice. I yet to test drive with it but I really fall in love with it.
I am struggling on the aspect which mentioned above. T-T Whether really the right way to fork out RM90k for M2.
By the way, some review mentioning on the sound prove is poor. Is it true? It said you can listen to the exterior noise.

I don hear much from outside during driving, most sound come from tire. even engine also not much. When raining the top is noisy. And when motorbike cross nearby can hear clearly. Overall still not bad.

im not an expert. i just do a LOT of reading and watching vids regarding M2. i mean it, a LOT of study from local review to global review to comparison of the car. i also still in waiting list to get one. probably end of this may according to my sa. so no real owner comments from me.

1) do you have a small family or medium? - the most important!
2) how many passenger will always be with you? how old are they?
3) is many airbag important to you?
4) is resale value really mean a big thing to you?
5) do you prefer plain practical car or well equip car?
6) 5 year labor free vs 3 year labor and part, which do you prefer?
7) what will you drive the car for? working? family travel?
there probably many question to ask but for now this is what i can think of.

Dear Expert murasame85,
I narrow down some of my concern:
1) Those who bought M2, do you all concern about the resale value? example if you want to change to a better car, will it a concern for you to sell a better price? Since everyone is mentioning the value is low, is it means you purchase RM89k but selling off with only RM10k?
2) Service and labor parts for a long run? (do not assume all are wealthy)
sorry mouse double click glitch, double post. anyway i edit this post.
little-sama. it would be nice the mention summary of m2 problem in the front page.
- back fender not well welding - below car not well welding - tire hard to find - no space for handphone - rain noise
The not well welding part should be clarified as a "problem" to the aesthetics of the car which is not very visible, rather than a safety problem unless some engineer here can confirm this.
Space for handphone should be clarified as limited space to place a phone holder. There's no need to have a special place to put your phone unless you need it as a GPS/for whatever reason you need to look at your phone while driving. For calls only, it can be connected via bluetooth so there's no reason to have a clear view of your phone (can still answer calls while it is in your pocket).

ya thank you for detail it. i mean to say for phone holder. silly me not thinking the right word

Other than that is till acceptable for me.
1) The reason why I am willing to buy a Mazda is because I don't plan to sell it so soon. As someone pointed out, after 5 - 7 years the resale value between a H and a M is different but minimal. If you're planning to sell in 2 - 3 years time, the difference can be huge.
2) I have a service schedule which my SA shared with me which includes GST, assuming the price list doesn't change after the 3 years or 60,000km whichever is earlier, the average cost of maintenance including parts and labour and GST is about RM360. Please take note that I have averaged out the cost by adding the total of each service interval (which is a combo of minor and major service) then divide by 11. It only shows me till the 11th service or 100,000km or 5 years. It does not include costs like changing spare parts like brake disc, suspension and the usual stuff that you need to change from wear and tear.
It shows engine oil, oil filter, packing/gasket, air filter, cabin filter, fuel pump - feed filter, fuel filter, brake fluid..only
I can't rememer what coolant was it that the maintenance guy told me that does not need to be changed at all for the entire lifetime of the car, engine coolant? or is it air con coolant?..can't remember leh.

Thanks a lot for your explanation. Just hope to get more information in order not to regret as I am not a wealthy person. Every single cents count for me. Haha

rear wheel fender welding is the defect i dont think uneven underneath welding is defect, or the engineer purposely weld the car this way for better body strength

I have did the coating once get the car, but still get lots stone chips
QUOTE(r47z @ Apr 13 2015, 10:50 AM)
you cannot escape from stone chips. just avoid highways as much as possible - the lorries and trucks are the culprits. NKVE is notorious for it.
With or without coating, there will be stone chips, same goes with bird droppings. A car will encounter all these throughout its lifetime. I know the feeling to own something new, owner will sayang the car a lot when brand new.
But remember this well, a car is to be used, and it will be damaged no matter how careful you are. If you used it day in day out, no matter the what damage it suffered, nor the mileage it rakes up, it has served you well, and it is worth every money you spent on buying the car.
Don't worry about stone chips/bird droppings/accidental damage, it is a car, use it, and let it assist you in what it is made for.
Horse and man one body, if man scare horse got scar, then might as well don't get a horse.
In the end, polish/respray can help you regain the shine back. How much does it cost to respray?

If you got spare time, and want to exercise, wax yourself, but remember to wax the car in one shot. Else, send it to car wash and let them wax, they might have package. Or those on Groupon if you feel it is not worth spending so much on a car after 5 years.

This one really no cure right?
No cure for all cars, there will be rain sound from the roof no? It also depends on the size of the rain drop.

Other than that is till acceptable for me.
1) I buy an M2, because I feel it is worth the price. After 9 years, every RM90K car should have at least RM22k worth. I am selling my '06 City and asked around 2nd hand car dealers, RM20k - 23k range. All car value will drop eventually, value high or low, it all depends on the reliability. VW Golf 1.4L TSI, original cost I believe RM140k+, 2012 car now cost RM79k selling at a 2nd hand car dealer.
2) Honda City '06, cost me about RM360 per normal service at Honda SC with fully synthetic engine oil (for 10,000km interval, I set my own since every 5,000km after X0,000km is just normal service), RM2,500+ for absorbers & undercarriage links, changed 3 times throughout 9 years (200,000km), brake pads front and rear (forgot price) 4 times, brake rotors (RM1,100(?) for front pair) 1 time, air filter, fuel strainer, aircon filter, idle pulley, clutch flywheel once RM1,200, spark plugs 5 times RM400(?), brake fluid, CVTF, aircon pulley, beltings, 1 set of rims, 3 sets of wheels, wheel bearings one set, etc.
So, since Mazda 2 is also a B-segment car, I expect it will cost about the same as Honda City for maintenance. It won't cost a lot as maintaining a Mazda 3/Honda Civic (C-segment) of course, try ask for Mazda 3 CKD Hi-spec 18" Toyo T1S tyres price and see?

Looking at your feedback, the maintenance cost for Mazda 2 is about the same as Honda City ('06 VTEC version). I expect it will be around this price range if we considering have our cars service at SC.
Yes, engine coolant. In fact they recommend to change every 100,000km, but that is for winter countries, since the anti-freeze (glycol) absorbs water over time, it will lose its anti-freeze effect. The car coolant is a close-loop system, and you need to check the small water reservoir besides with radiator every month, and top up with distilled water, not mineral water. If there is a hole at the radiator, it will leak and time to repair.

Aiya I missed the word 'tinting'. So yeah, which brands are you guys using and how much? Appreciate your feedback .
There's also a great package from Cool Master which I didn't manage to go as they were fully booked and I lazy to wait so I went for Hamel instead. If you call them, they actually have a higher grade tint than the 1 below for RM500+: http://www.coolmastertint.com/promotions.html

Personally I have doubt on your statement of City the best choice for long term use. I was a City '04 owner and sold the car after 6 years due to CVT gear box issue. Although Honda claim their current City model is using new CVT technology, for me it's reliability is still yet to be proven...

Well, I would say you have bad luck. It is well known that Honda Malaysia messed up big time during the initial introduction of CVT. They used the wrong oil and the result was apparent. Some were lucky enough to have it malfunction within 3 years and therefore save a hefty replacement. My family had a City 08 which also had the same dual clutch CVT and still running fine till today.
SERIOUSLY? ... at first i m so happy to go for RIO. when tell family wana buy it.... aunty uncle all shout at me DONT buy, said tis n tat bla bla bla..... damn sad.... lol, M2 came out just in time, so change my mind immediately.

I do own 2 City, '04 and '06, the 04 City changed gearbox, and replaced more stuff than my 06 City. To sell it now, seems like not worth it to let go, hence selling my 06 City instead. But, 04 City has better fitting and NVH insulation than 06 facelift version.
The new torque convertor type CVT used by Honda is proven technology, used in Nissan Xtronic CVT, Toyota eCVT. The older Honda clutch type CVT is no longer used. Only problem with torque convertor is loss of power, the latest City doesn't accelerate faster than older clutch CVT City.

i believe so long the cvt fluid change periodically and you not racing the car like playing around the shifters (if your car comes with it like inspira or preve or older idsi citys) cvt box should be lasting for quite some time. Yea i do personally skeptical on cvt box as my feeling on the wear and tear on the steel belt and pully would have been really intense (imagine the belt and pulley always grind on each other all the time compared to gears which take turns as the gears are shifting), of coz you won't see anything obvious before your car odo clocks 100k and above. hence my personal take is take auto box if you wanna drive the car for long long time and cvt if you are a gentle driver. it's just my 2 cents though.

Don't be so racist against CVT la. Even Altis and Sylphy are on CVT and their acceleration are quite superb. New gen CVT really different liao. I first felt this when I test driven the Mitsubishi ASX and the Sylphy. New Honda City I not sure but based on my experience with the vTEC Honda City I think it was '06 they are very very slow.
If m2 got manual version in malaysia, I go for it for sure.
me too, I'm also a manual person, I did consider vios and almera coz only they got manual but both no stability control.... mazda2 Indonesia got manual transmission....

Honda did say the CVT belt is lifetime guaranteed. So to them and the belt manufacturer, they can claim a new one, fit it in, refurbish the whole gearbox, and sell as new spare parts.
To us, we have to pay for the CVT gearbox replacement.
60 ringgit for around 700km. Very fuel save
Can share what speed u maintain during the journey?

Bring to service centre n complain like mad. Design defect I guess
Please check yours, if only me having such mark then no point I going there to "KPKB". Mazda 2 Head lamp design no good, how can their designer put the 21W bulb on top side so near to the lens. [attachmentid=4411464]
Mazda CX5 design better.
Supposed to be LED, but then SEA used bulb instead.

Pls update when 1 tank is used up, n how many liter fill up. Looking good.
Finally had to refill today.
* Fuel type: Shell RON95 * Duration from last refill to current refill: 11 days (Friday Apr 3, 2015 - Tuesday Apr 14, 2015) * Litres filled for current refill: 37 litres * Total distance travelled since last refill (agak-agak): 460km * Mileage per litre: 12.43km per litre * My thoughts: Pretty damn amazing
Btw, its almost time for me do my 1000km service. Since this is my first time doing this, I was hoping you guys can help me with these questions.
Q1: How long does the service take usually? (Wanna know if I can schedule an appointment before work)
Q2: Should I just let the SC person check and change things as he deems fit or should I request for specific things like synthetic engine oil (not sure about this, how much do they charge?)
Q3: Anything I should know before going for the service?
Appreciate any tips you guys can give me, thanks guys.

If i'm not mistake, fully synthetic is a 'cleaner' which means it is a lower viscosity oil hence providing more performance and therefore you will only need to change every 10,000km vise versa. I'm not the pro though. Correct me if I'm wrong. <-------Not a pro here

After getting your ckd M3, bring it to the 4s centre, get the soul red done lar. But pay extra for the spray job.

lol extra money on that. since i only got small family (1 child - 2 years old), maybe i should go for m2 1st. save money for 2nd child. lol but m3 spec and price is tempting tho.

To us, we have to pay for the CVT gearbox replacement. Compression ratio might be lowered for turbocharged Skyactiv-G. Else, the whole top will explode, or run on RON100+ fuel only.
lifetime guaranteed is misleading, so far the definition of "lifetime" i knew is 10 yrs which defined by proton. They offer "lifetime" warranty on the 4 parts on power window (with T&C ofcoz). Their lifetime in this sense is lifetime of the car which is 10 yrs. not sure about Honda though. i remember proton CVT box tested up to 250k km without any issue (probably they just set it on a rig and let it run 60kph non stop without considering real life situation.... hehe....)
yea, agree, some tiny puny stuff but we got charged kao kao, and this is what we called business.

So I have the option of topping up for a fully synthetic engine oil then? Is it better? or semi synthetic good enough already?

Yes we need expert in audio visual with electrical engineering background. So far I managed to mod the looks and feel only. Nothing more. If I can, I would have added Android Auto support.

still thinking.. should i upgrade to m3 ckd or stick to m2. the big let down for me is m3 ckd dont come with soul red color. still thinking can effort the maintenance or not.
I was in ur shoes b4 I got my M2. If u about ngam ngam can afford the M3, forget about it. If you are intending to get low spec, it might spoil the overall driving experience and "interior feeling" of Mazda. I decided to let go M3 and get M2 becuz I would want to have some spare money to do other stuff.
Thank you so much for the help! This was super useful.
So I have the option of topping up for a fully synthetic engine oil then? Is it better? or semi synthetic good enough already?
on paper say fully synthetic is better, but my bro ask me to discover this myself. So he ask me to put semi now first and see how to FC like then next service put fully synthetic and test again. so driving style have to be the same la to test both the engine oil... if not much diff then stick to the free semi la...

After out of port klang, still need to go through PDI. After that need 1-2 days for Puspakom. Then only you can get your car. So estimate May
according to the ap document, from the date my car reached port klang until customs clearance is taken about a month, then need to wait for the batch shipment from port to showroom, PDI, Puspakom, & JPJ

i find that red is quiet attractive on the road. haven't seen other colors yet.
That is because there are not many red cars on the road, and Mazda Soul Red has this colour transaction from red to pink when view at different angle and at different light brightness.

Sometimes purplish elegant red
But best contrast goes to white

Silver is much more common. Grey is a lil more rare but most Almera on the road are grey. Actually whichever original color u choose also will be common. Only custom spray job will be unique such as:
