The fuel consumption on this vehicle is absolutely amazing, I've been driving everyday for 5 days now and the fuel bar only went down by 1/3 of the first bar. 1/3 of the first bar for 5 days of driving (Subang to KL and back everyday)! I average 60km/h - 75km/h when I drive. Definitely one of the upsides of having this car.

How long have you had the car? I've had mine for 2 weeks now, been driving through puddles of water a lot (no choice), and no signs of rust on mine yet.

Only problem I've had with the car so far is that the passenger side vanity mirror keeps dropping out. The first time it dropped out was as soon as I removed the plastic from the visor.

At first I thought it was some secret compartment for cards or something but the more I think about it, the more I feel its loose or something is broken. Anybody else with this problem?

Finally had to refill today.

* Fuel type: Shell RON95
* Duration from last refill to current refill: 11 days (Friday Apr 3, 2015 - Tuesday Apr 14, 2015)
* Litres filled for current refill: 37 litres
* Total distance travelled since last refill (agak-agak): 460km
* Mileage per litre: 12.43km per litre
* My thoughts: Pretty damn amazing

Btw, its almost time for me do my 1000km service. Since this is my first time doing this, I was hoping you guys can help me with these questions.

Q1: How long does the service take usually? (Wanna know if I can schedule an appointment before work)

Q2: Should I just let the SC person check and change things as he deems fit or should I request for specific things like synthetic engine oil (not sure about this, how much do they charge?)

Q3: Anything I should know before going for the service?

Appreciate any tips you guys can give me, thanks guys.

q3) make an appointment and bring ur service booklet...

Thank you so much for the help! This was super useful. laugh.gif

So I have the option of topping up for a fully synthetic engine oil then? Is it better? or semi synthetic good enough already?

Hey guys,

Need a little advise, I'm planning on tinting my windows soon but seeing as the weather is a bit unpredictable these days, I was wondering, is okay for me to use my wipers after tinting?

Say like, if driving home from tinting workshop it rains, can i use my wipers? If can, is there a limit to how fast the wiper should be?

The consultant I asked say its okay to use wipers, just dont roll down the side windows for 3 days.

Any info would be greatly appreciated. Thanks guys.

Oh, I honestly did not know that the film is applied to the inner side of the window. Learn something new everyday I guess.

This info was really helpful. Thanks Pizzy! smile.gif

I personally have not tried 3M although i do know its one of the better brands available.

Personally though, I got myself a Hamel tint for only RM499 (before GST) not because I couldn't afford more expensive options, but just like t3chn0m4nc3r, I don't see the need for an expensive one when this one serves my purpose and I'm very satisfied with it.

If you're interested, mine is a 6mil tint with 85% heat rejection. It comes with 7 years warranty and according to the workshop manager, covers labour as well.

My family tried coatings on other cars before. It still have dust teardrop effect from rain if didn't wash for 1 week, and there are stone chips and bug chips on the bonnet. Deep scratch is whats bothering me, not light ones since I could polish it / wax it away. Therefore I forego any sort of coatings for my M2. Besides, if you opt to respray your car every 5 years to get rid of deep scratch, that one layer of coating will need to sand away too. I prefer wax every 3-4 months and yearly polish.

Hence I could opt for more expensive tint.

Everyone can try coating for its experience, never try never know right? Maybe your driving/caring habits are different than mine.
*
Can you recommend a good place to do wax and polish and how much does it cost?? That is if you live in the Klang Valley.

Thanks!

will the side mirror got button to close or need to use hand?
*
There is power folding, just not auto (as in it doesn't automatically fold when you stop engine and unfold when you start engine). If you turn the side mirror adjustment knob (above the window switches) to 6 o'clock position, your side mirrors will fold. To unfold just turn it to either L, R, or 12 o'clock position.
