QUOTE(RicoT @ Apr 9 2015, 08:36 AM) They are using this as a test mull to try out the Euro2 diesel I believe. Japanese spec M2 has rear drum brakes. But, M2 Skyactiv-D engines will have to wait until Euro5 diesel implementation, 2016/2018? Or inb4 delayed again. Mazda might have Skyactiv+ technology by then, who knows? yeah and i forgot to mention they got turbocharge too. anyone know when the D engine will come to Malaysia? base on Autobuzz review it will come.and i read some say mazda 2 will not have a CKD version. where they got that info? |

Europe mostly use diesel engine. that probably the reason they show the different result.

QUOTE(anttan @ Apr 13 2015, 01:12 PM) I am interested with M2. a good value car still the honda city. even honda hater must to admit that. it practical, stylish, good resale value, cheaper maintenance, more airbag.Just would like to understand more of the aspect such as resale value, maintenance cost and other. Need to know whether worth to buy. I try Vios and City is a bit plastic. It still the king of everyday hero car in Malaysia. But when come to something around the hairpin, mazda do better. it the "most" beautiful car in B segment (my personal opinion). none in B segment can beat it interior sexiness (where you gonna be for whole driving time). Mazda 2 owners claim the 2 drive lot better than city (fun to drive) and it most fuel saving car (base on paultan review). everyday hero - city spirited driver - 2 vios - i dun see any good beside the RV and maintenance cost. QUOTE(t3chn0m4nc3r @ Apr 13 2015, 02:53 PM) Yes. You also have choice to put colored film. yup that i want to highlight. i know almera the cheapest maintenance. but both honda and toyota still cheaper than mazda. than why i write "cheaper" not "cheapest"I would like to say from personal experience (My mom drove a Honda City and I drove a Vios both cars about same age). Honda City maintenance (parts price besides engine oil, filters, brake pads and tyres) is higher than Vios. I have colleague driving Almera and most parts, Almera's is the cheapest. So Honda maintenance is only cheaper than Mazda but not cheaper than Toyota or Nissan. Nissan parts are the cheapest by the books. general idea about cost maintenance Almera < Vios < City < 2 < Fiesta dun know about Polo, K-car and others This post has been edited by murasame85: Apr 13 2015, 03:14 PM |

QUOTE(anttan @ Apr 13 2015, 06:29 PM) Dear Expert (3 of you), im not an expert. i just do a LOT of reading and watching vids regarding M2. i mean it, a LOT of study from local review to global review to comparison of the car. Thanks a lot for your previous advice. I yet to test drive with it but I really fall in love with it. I am struggling on the aspect which mentioned above. T-T Whether really the right way to fork out RM90k for M2. By the way, some review mentioning on the sound prove is poor. Is it true? It said you can listen to the exterior noise. i also still in waiting list to get one. probably end of this may according to my sa. so no real owner comments from me. since we here are not in the right place to state the decision for you, here a few questions for you to answer the get your decision. i cast out vios here. this is between city and m2. 1) do you have a small family or medium? - the most important! 2) how many passenger will always be with you? how old are they? 3) is many airbag important to you? 4) is resale value really mean a big thing to you? 5) do you prefer plain practical car or well equip car? 6) 5 year labor free vs 3 year labor and part, which do you prefer? 7) what will you drive the car for? working? family travel? there probably many question to ask but for now this is what i can think of.
