Android Version shows the major Android version. Current latest MY MIUI (Stable) version for MI3 is 4.3 (Jellybean)

Baseband version is your "Radio" version. It controls settings related to mobile network connection. (item 5 above)

Kernel version is for the kernel (item 3 above)

Build number is your ROM version (item 2 above)

If you are having problems with connection (voice/data), please provide the following minimum information:

1. Telco/ISP
2. Your current location where you are facing this problem

Congratulations for taking over and become new TS. Really appreciate it brother Now, I will continue to be a silent reader and consider whether to get Mi3 or not. Been reading reviews from all of you guys in the previous thread. To Kamikraze, just take your time to manage this thread bro, it's already 1am and most are sleeping, you can also do it next day, I'm pretty sure Suntzulee's thread will be closed by admins soon. All the best.

Also, Really hope to have Mi3 to replace my old Sony SL in the next few weeks.

TS sales is not on Mi3 accessories or product. So even if ppl post in this thread, when TS warn the person, his reply post does not have a mi3 related product siggy, so he is not promoting his product which conflicts with the thread product (Mi3). It's not conflict of interest (Mi3 accessories or related product).

If I'm not mistaken the source code is encrypted so there's no way to get at it. Not unless Xiaomi decides to release it to the public so they can make custom roms for it.

That's rather unfortunate. Could you clear his trolling posts in the first page as well? Let him do what he wants in his own thread. Nevermind you're way ahead of me

Hello, is there any other ways to wake up screen besides pressing the power button? Cause each day I press it quite a lot to wake up my Mi3 and I afraid the button will spoil easily in one day

Get a Mikey and use the button instead.

Go to settings > buttons > enable 'wake with volume buttons'

if u got flip case u can use Gravity Screen, the app will trigger proximity sensor whenever u open the flip cover.

it depends on the source ur getting? Usually differ in term of warranty support only.

But....
AP set could be original set brought in without paying sales tax or could be some recon set? You never know...


I always prefer original set for the ease of mind.

Hardware spec should be the same, so long it's WCDMA version, but may not be on Malaysia ROM, so you can either flash Malaysia ROM or continue use Taiwan or where ever the origin of the phone.

Not sure one would get UK 3 pins adapter with AP set though, which i doubt.

if different model like Mi3 CDMA and Mi3 WCDMA, you can check this link : Xiaomi Mi3 TD vs WCDMA

if same model, everything should be same, except for charger head pin and the default MIUI Rom version. None the less, for now, Mi3 didn't have worldwide limited type of warranty which Xiaomi Malaysia only can handle Xiaomi product which for Malaysia market only, which mean AP is solely under shop warranty cover. Hope this answer your question.

TS, I suggest you post link in LARGE TEXT maybe at the top of post 2 for people to click to the /k/ Xiaomi thread to ask about deliveries etc, coz it will still happen but at least make it easy for people to route there.

Well, reason being 1+1 is the benchmark now, it's good to know how does the Mi3 stack up



Got a new replacement glass SP from seller as previous one just won't stick at the top corner.
But now the other top corner won't stick, confirmed no dust whatsoever.


But in the mean time, i play play with old glass SP.
after 5 minutes abuse, the SP gave up.

initially very hard to stab or scratch, but after i bend the SP until crack, then easy to stab

this is cheapo china brand, so i can only imagine what a branded high quality one can offer

went to sc fix my 3rd bath Mi3 front receiver speaker & sim card detector problem ...

I dislike the stock browser. It always force closes! Do you guys have any idea how to disable it as 'default' and uses chrome instead? There isn't any 'default' setting in the app info

took 1 day .. wed in , thurs collect.. the sim detector can fix on the spot ...

saw many MI3 victims , i ask the staff whether is it the bug or hardware. they told me is hardware issue -3rd batch alot this problem...

they should change the sim design buat simple like samsung or etc brand one

Usually its the gums / stickers that worries me for cheapo glass or sp. After removing glass, will the residue still be there and cause a stain. Nillkin or similarly quality branded glass SP should be adequate but Spigen or same quality gum should stick much better and supposedly leave no residue.

The thinner the glass is, the easier it is to break. I'm a bit sceptical about those 9H claim tho, I think these cheapo glass claim's should be taken with a grain of salt.

You're getting me worried, I have one with that batch at home still have no sim inserted yet.

for this budget i dont expect much , my 1st batch 1 working perfectly fine except the whatsapp robotic sound...

now i think xiaomi should focus more on quality control ..

Go to System Settings - Apps, there's a default apps button at the bottom.

So far all cheapo SP i tried, only small residue at edge due to dust.
Since most will give you alcohol swab, so clean like mad, no worries

about the hardness, i have no idea how hard is 9H,8H or what, but from my test, quite hard until it cracks.
once cracked, no hard at all

Hardness & quality of cheapo glass SP not bad lah.
Just that the oleophobic layer only easily worn off

My one doesn't have "Robotic" sound, initially it does but after i disable vibration with beat function, is now normal sound.

The oleo thingy is really overhype. It usually works for only a short while. For my RM120 Spigen Nano, abt 3 months, tho some mentioned lesser. SO either way, its gonna be gone in short while. No oleo film after that...

No fault yet, just worry coz unit not tested. Go home tonite test. As for courier send SC, it will definitely take MUCH longer to repair if not send in person.
