Dont understand why you can buy directly from xiaomi but you choose to buy from third party. Nowadays u got so many ways to ship from China to Malaysia

QUOTE(amdx @ Aug 9 2014, 01:28 PM) seriously, why so many problems leh xiaomi? You need some knowledge to operate a smartphone efficiently, especially Android. If you want less hassle, then should go for Apple. Stock rom normally come with a lot of apps that you may not need it and consume resources and battery. That is why people go for dev rom or root so that you can customise to suite your use.i just passed the phone to my dad (downgraded to v14, due to v18 issues)... now v22 (i suppose it will pushes via OTA) oso got issues. how u expect my old folk dealing with all these firmware glitches? haiyo... my personal experience when i upgrade and downgrade to v14->v18->v14.. i think something really not going well with their firmware updater. same recovery method used, but i experienced 2 different outcome. hang at boot screen, gapps all gone (mine purchase via xiaomi malaysia) and etc. end up no choice but to flash the rom via miflash thru a pc. really hope xiaomi can buck up on the patches release process. i don't face this with sxmsung, sxny, htx nor 1+1 |

QUOTE(amdx @ Aug 10 2014, 03:06 AM) just my unbias experience with xiaomi. the OTA push should be tested x N times before releasing. mind you, everything was push via OTA, no manual interaction to update the ROM. and after update and reboot, Xiaomi Read me app. cannot be loaded, google play store missing (basically entire google apps.. gone), call drops n etc. Dont worry bro. i believe sometime that u installed may have crash ur system.. suggest wipe all (back up first). I am fine with the OTA on both Stable and Dev rom. Not even single issue with it. Of course i did have some crach dev rom because itchy hand and do some things that not supposed to (lift ban and install unverified apps, manual install theme sometime may crash too).. watever, what i'm trying to say, this is a commercial product for consumer, frequent OTA updates on bug fix is welcomed, minor glitches are okay too. but not to the extend it impacts the standard functionality of the smartphone itself loh. saya punya dua sen sahaja... jangan marah marah... I am a happy user of xiaomi owning both mi3 and redmi. Both on dev rom and i am tweaking a lot to suit my own usage. Just my 2 cents too |

QUOTE(mulut99 @ Aug 10 2014, 12:43 AM) Is my MiNote not Mi3. I posted it at miui forum looking for solution. Yes... as i mentioned before.. theme may cause some issue... especially in dev rom because u can manually install .mtz and a lot more unstable china theme.Problem sloved.....is one of the theme casing this. I agreed to one of the forumer said that stay at factory rom and dont update if u are a noob and not sure wat to do... it will be the best !!!! |
