QUOTE(sickx @ Jul 23 2014, 11:36 AM) yes. you know the widget to release memory on home screen, it shows 78-86% on my phone. before this around 60% only. this should not be a problem true. there's no noticeable lag so far, but I hope it won't affect my phone in the future. i think 78-86% is OK for MIUI. since it does not LAG my mi3 can reach as high as 95% used memory. but still doesnt LAG doing normal stuff(online, browsing,fb,insta, whatsapp) unless i really wan to play graphical GAME. then i would clear the memory first. QUOTE(apache_utara @ Jul 23 2014, 11:42 AM) Wait.. hmm. where can see the name of all ROMs ? Did Xiaomi renamed the whole ROMs for countries besides China to be the same (ie: KXDMIBE18.0)? I guess they're really following Apple footsteps as it'll be faster to roll out updates but they seriously need to beef up the dev team, too many bugs early on |

QUOTE(viqq @ Jul 23 2014, 11:44 AM) Dev ROM any better than conventional ROM? Or the other way around? pros:I found out that there's dual system boot in the Mi3? When I was in the recovery, I was given the option to choose boot to system 1 or system 2 1. dev rom have the latest update (1 week 1 OTA update) so u can try out the latest feature they roll out everyweek 2. dev rom is pre-rooted. u juz need to enable root permission at security app 3. dev rom gets more themes to choose from (many forumers claims this) cons: 1. not stable. in terms of bugs. and mayb some apps will crash ---- dual boot is build into miui recovery. to use or not is ur own preference . u can flash 1 system with dev rom and keep 1 with stable rom. and swap around the system to play with. |

QUOTE(apache_utara @ Jul 23 2014, 11:51 AM) i miss it . damn thx. haha QUOTE(viqq @ Jul 23 2014, 11:51 AM) But seems like two same versions of stable Rom was installed on both system. (Tried booting into system 2 just now) Does this take up a lot of space I wonder? How can I clear it to save up space? yea. for default. both is installed with stable rom.im not sure about how to clear the 2nd system. haha but i will suggest u to not clear it. juz like apache_utara said "Yes, it has 2 systems which consumes a bit space but gives you a sense of calm because in case anything happened (ie: bad insatllation), then can revert back to last working config" |

QUOTE(Ramjade @ Jul 23 2014, 04:37 PM) 1. How to know whether it is Malaysian ROM? 1. previous MY ROM is Version: JXDMYBD14.02. If an update is available, will it download the MY ROM or some other country ROM? (assuming that the MY ROM is flashed by directd) u can check urs in setting >about phone . the latest MY ROM is international version. which the rom update is same with other country (india, philipines, singapok, taiwan,hk), Version: KXDMIBE18.0 (V5) 2. if an update is available, u will get this --> Version: KXDMIBE18.0 as the lastest update for now. assuming u get the MY ROM flashed by directd. cheers This post has been edited by deadravel: Jul 23 2014, 05:22 PM |

QUOTE(WaCKy-Angel @ Jul 23 2014, 05:22 PM) I got 2 phone on Maxis so far no noticed any prob after update. high accuracy means use everything ur phone has to offer for it to find the position of ur phonep/s: trying GPS now. Btw if choose "High accuracy" it means using A-GPS right? which is use --> telco network, wifi network, and GPS itself |
