For 10/21k, I'll be having a bowl of oats, 2 bananas, plain milo, energy bar, peanut butter/jam toast and of course Redbull right at the starting line biggrin.gif

My legs will feel weak instead if I didn't eat enough before a race, I'd still be munching on an energy bar up to 30minutes before gun time, and most of the time I start eating 1-1.30hours before race starts.

For 10/21k, I'll be having a bowl of oats, 2 bananas, plain milo, energy bar, peanut butter/jam toast and of course Redbull right at the starting line biggrin.gif

I can skip breakfast too if I wake up at 11am tongue.gif Any earlier I'll have to compensate with food thumbup.gif

55min is above average already, 40mins is almost professional la. Most ppl will suggest high intensive training like sprinting if u wanna do well in short races

Let me share with you few tips..
1) Learn the correct running method , example..Pose Method of Running/Natural Running/Chi
2) Speedworks, example..I set my treadmill to max speed 16-18km/h.. run for 5 mins x 5 set
3) Watch youtube how the elite runs, those sub 30 mins/10km.

but the good news is my pace is getting better even no speedwork/tempo/hill session (all mostly base milage with slow pace to control HR). either bcoz of 3 days rest with a-day before stride work out, or have a pacer, or both smile.gif leg feel ok, just my HR above 175 nearly all the time.
i talk spam kacau orang all the route. even manage to chat with LYNR with 2xu compression tights at last mileage. ask his nick in LYN, he ask to ask back after run tongue.gif sorry to kacau ruin ur run icon_rolleyes.gif

Fellas...I've been experiencing lower abdominal pains for some weeks now...I think I've got it after my StandardCharteredRun...though very mild, then after the McD run it started to get a bit worse...

I googled and refer from this forum
http://www.runnersworld.com/community/foru...al-pain-running

...the post there...kinda scare me a little...some saying no running for 6 WEEKS!!...mana boleh...

anyway...I'm skipping my running schedule for the whole of this week, plus no abs training as well...probably whole week going to the gym for some light stretched plus steam & sauna...

Just want to ask guys...any thoughts on this? suggestions? any sports I can/cannot do? for how long?...

oh and good morning ^ ^
