START 00:00:00 6:03:27 am --
15.5K 01:40:07 7:43:33 am 06:28
FINISH 02:19:23 8:22:50 am 07:02
Avg. Pace 06:37

Could only sleep about an hour even though I went to bed at 12am, got a nose bleed when I woke up, didn't have any banana for breakfast, the shuttle bus from kelana lrt took 30mins+ to reach, passing by midvalley twice, reached the starting line 5mins before time, luckily my 10km friends helped me to check in my stuff instead of wasting another few minutes down there, my new brooks pure cadence didn't give me any blister but it felt slow & I couldn't get the pace I wanted, my Nike+ recorded 22km, smoke & occasional swearings of the lori drivers , all this should be sufficient reason for the bad timing tongue.gif + I lost my phone strap after crossing the finishing line cry.gif The water stations every 2km, some crowd cheering here and there & short queue for the finisher's bag made things slightly better

Memorable 2nd half marathon indeed smile.gif Just gotta find out where's the prob now since my training before this went down the longkang hmm.gif

My legs will feel weak instead if I didn't eat enough before a race, I'd still be munching on an energy bar up to 30minutes before gun time, and most of the time I start eating 1-1.30hours before race starts.

For 10/21k, I'll be having a bowl of oats, 2 bananas, plain milo, energy bar, peanut butter/jam toast and of course Redbull right at the starting line :D

U eat all that before 10K ? Wow....
*
More or less the same lol, either the toast or the milo will be taken out if I'm rushing

QUOTE(lung85 @ Jul 16 2012, 08:08 PM)
wow u take a lot, morning i dont really eat a lot, even if normal days, offen breakfast at 10 to 11am, so too early i cant eat a lot. i try don eat next time.

i found out i do training 3 to 4 time a week, but during the race i only improve 1 to 2 min, 10k race i mange 56~57min, hw to get below 40min, i folo the guide frm google but don really seem to improve a lot
I can skip breakfast too if I wake up at 11am tongue.gif Any earlier I'll have to compensate with food thumbup.gif

55min is above average already, 40mins is almost professional la. Most ppl will suggest high intensive training like sprinting if u wanna do well in short races

You'll be having a hard time if you're trying to balance between marathon running and sprinting

It's much more accurate if u switch off ur data/3G signal when ur using Nike+, u get about 5% extra distance if 3G is switched on, at least for me la haha biggrin.gif

Freaking disappointing time compared to last year. Managed only a 2.17 when I did 2.10 on my virgin HM on the same route.
The weather was humid & misty this morning.
Water stations should have used the stacking system, the running T wasn't even sweat repellent, felt more like a cotton shirt instead.
At least they gave everyone medals this time but it wasn't fun seeing chicks run pass me.
Did so much hill training for the last 2 weeks and got the same result as 3 months ago, don't know if it's the lack of sleep this whole month sad.gif And left ankle hurts like sh1t, just proves brooks pure flow is much better than my current pure cadence zzz

Btw, hats off to this guy, SG blade runner

Both, long slow runs and speed/interval training

Wow you guys take so little before a race. I never like running on an empty stomach laugh.gif

As for me, I'll take 2 pcs of bread with nutella, 1 bowl of oats, 2 bananas, 1 avocado, some raisins at about 1.5 hours before the race and then 1 can of isotonic drink & a granola bar 30mins before the race.

I know this isn't the right place to post this, but if you feel like doing charity & helping the needy, at the same time getting yourself a tax-deductible and authentic Reebok Polo T, then this is the right time to do so! The polo shirts have to be returned to HOPE Malaysia by the end of next week if there are still no buyers, so please help spread the news even if you are not interested.

Anyway, here's the link if you would like more info:

Thanks and have a good evening smile.gif
