Ya, RM2090. Cousin scanned the Samsung advert from newspaper.

How do you claim back Gst? You're not a tourist.

And why can't you get a phone line with a phone bought from Malaysia ?
*
cool... with the strong ex rate... worth it i think rclxms.gif thumbup.gif

i deal with a lot of foreign business associates.. can ask them to claim for me ^^ we usually take same flight overseas biggrin.gif

no no.. i mean if u buy the phone from msia u still need to get a line in sg... so how? pre-paid? have to compare whether still worth it or not to get it with a plan and get disc or get the phone and line separately... have you done a comparison before? unsure.gif i dunno lor sad.gif

Btw, if anyone's interested in the Samsung Galaxy S II... Singapore sucks. No contract price here is $998... but only RM2090 in KL (Samsung shop) and HK$5300 in HK (Fortress).

The SG price difference vs MY or HK is more than 7%. 15% actually.

I have 1 phone line in SG, and I need only one phone line. However the contract is 2 years, but I like to change phones every year, sometimes 6 months when I see something new that I like. So I have to buy many of my phones without contract.

I think most of us are from the north western part of the peninsular probably due to the Chinese population or Johor due to distance.
Last time when during my industrial training interview, those who applied for Singapore were from Penang and Ipoh only, no other states. laugh.gif laugh.gif
I think most of us would think like if I were to leave my comfort zone, why not go further instead of just KL. happy.gif happy.gif

@sean well i suppose got a niche market for ppl like me who been using the last 3 iPhones and kinda wanna see what the android hype is about, haha.

sgs-2 seems nice, gotta see whether any of the telco's offer it in the corporate package things that they offer the company. although i don't really know what i'd do with another phone (got a personal iP4 from MY and a white one from the company already). Carry 3 phones meh? Maybe give my old iP4 black to one of my sisters (lol).

btw any of you got any suggestions for a wireless bluetooth headset (with mic) that can also double up as stereo headphones?

Like I said. Already fully shared by giving step by step instructions. If you can't draft your own resume with instructions like that... maybe a one-pager's not quite right for you lah.

Seantang,
No point spoon feeding these people. You've already made it as clear as clear can be.
These people are typical attitude M'sian. Expect everthing to be handed to them on a silver platter. The world dosen't work that way.

A lot of people underestimate how much they need to retire, and therefore set that limit wrongly. They don't anticipate that they will most probably get sick for a long time and need a lot of money for treatment. Most people think they will be healthy up to the last day and then die peacefully in their sleep. Most people are not so lucky.

Go to Samsung showroom at Vivocity. I bought my Tab there on launch day as well, despite it supposedly being a telco-exclusive launch.

True, my logic is that if I'm out of Ipoh, doesn't matter if it's KL, SG, HK etc. I'm still simply away from home.

With the current and upcoming Android devices, it's going to be a pretty good fight. Apple will always have its base market of irrational people who like being shafted.

If it comes one day, I'll welcome it. But I won't go stand in bars buying free drinks looking for it. Besides, the effect of marriage (and kids) is that your savings limit simply needs to be much higher.

tried already.....can't even manage to count how many job offers I got and then how many I rejected due to only single application is allowed at one time. 5 companies have helped me to apply EP and SPass and all of them are mnc and local well established companies. I think MOM see my name then just straight away reject it, fast and efficient rclxms.gif

Anyone know the average salary a Malaysian with degree and 5 years exp is current getting in Singapore? Let say engineers, or other professional, executives.

2-4k sgd? 4-6k sgd?

There's some conflict between researched salary report and what I heard personally. So I would like to get more input from you guys...

@ky_khor well erm ... from my very limited personal knowledge, degree+5years exp should be more than either range that you've mentioned.

@jungyu degree+exp also kena rejected 9 times? hmm.gif something fishy going on imo, if S-pass also cannot (I'm assuming you should be offered > 2.5k which is the base Q1 EP requirement)
