Is there any way to retrieve previous SPass application detail? My ex-company filled out everything for me and I've never seen the detail they submitted for me.

Hi,

Yes, once your S -Pass cancelled, your HR will give you the cancellation form. That form allow you to stay in Singapore for 30 days
(for moving out / find a better job or etc)..

If after 30 days you didn't check out, its categories overstay..

in the meantime, if you have any pending pass in MOM during the 30days, you can always go to
Immigration & Checkpoint Website to extend you stay...

Cheers  thumbup.gif

Thanks for the info.

One more question, Can I rent any room in singapore during this 30 days? I am still renting a room now and cant pack my things back to malaysia so soon. I'm thinking of renting for another 1 month then slowly post my stuff back to Malaysia. There are loads of stuff....Is it illegal to rent and stay in singapore during this 30 days?

After 30 days, as long as u never move out from ur HDB, u still can rent the room. But if u wanna move out to other HDB, then most likely, it gonna be hard for u to rent as u dun have a working permit for the house owner.

Bout the shifting ur items, are u from johor?
*
oh. then i sneakily stay in current room first tongue.gif

i am from KL, thats why its hard for me to shift back

@jungyu http://www.crownrelo.com/ is the vendor that my company engaged to ship my stuff over from KL to SG. they go to my KL place, survey, pack everything for me, then in SG they'll unpack everything.

no idea how much they charge though.
*
thanks. i will check that out.

did u find out the reason why they reject ur work permit application?
*
MOM refused to give reason according to some companies that helped me applied. My renewal of SPass also got rejected. My company said no reason stated.....

I'm interested to know too jungyu. If you don't mind me asking, what pass did you hold? Got rejected during renewal? Or fresh application?

Coz I hardly come across rejected pass renewal cases.
*
i was holding SPass. There were few renewal cases being rejected in my companies recently, i was one of those.
I am clean sheet, no bad record. not ideas why kept getting rejected.
I once suspected it was because the information given for applications did not tally, coz my first spass application, my ex-company never revealed the info they filled for me, just worried they had wrong info submitted.

Did you change jobs frequently? Did your previous employers reported something bad on you to the MOM?
*
no. that was my first job in singapore.
I dont think my company would help me renew if they did report something about me.

did u appeal for it?
*
no. these companies always tried EP for me if rejected then SPass, if both got rejected, they would just say sorry, chance of appeal being rejected is 100% i think. they dont wanna waste 3 weeks time waiting for me tongue.gif

why not try other company?
*
tried already.....can't even manage to count how many job offers I got and then how many I rejected due to only single application is allowed at one time. 5 companies have helped me to apply EP and SPass and all of them are mnc and local well established companies. I think MOM see my name then just straight away reject it, fast and efficient rclxms.gif

@jungyu degree+exp also kena rejected 9 times? hmm.gif something fishy going on imo, if S-pass also cannot (I'm assuming you should be offered > 2.5k which is the base Q1 EP requirement)
*
no idea what is on MOM's mind blush.gif
I got offered 2.5k before but ep/spass both failed

Check if u have any oustanding records with the SG gov. Unpaid fines, blacklist records, criminal records, previous unpaid taxes, etc.
If you have any of those, bye, bye.
*
How to check? I don't think I have any of those you mentioned. I haven't been to any police station in the world in my entire life biggrin.gif

Any reason why you only want S or EP?
*
Work Permit? I don't know, I once suggested to apply for work permit but the company did not agree as the salary and position they offered they think should get S/EP.

hi guys, I got my work permit approved when my company suggested to try for WP. blush.gif I'm now WP holder with $2.8k salary biggrin.gif
I am not familiar with WP. Personally I am ok with holding WP as I am not going for PR at this moment yet but anything I need to note here? anything different from S/EP? like renting a room or subscribe for internet etc?

Where is the largest bookstore in Singapore? I'm looking for specific profession related books but most bookstores are small and don't have what I want.
