Sorry arekey, i missed out some points.

But then again, people who advocate you taking 1.5g of protein/pound per day are people who work in the labs, for scivation, ON, gaspari, etc . People who directly gain a benefit from you consuming their products. So what do you take from that ?

I can say for most of us here, at least for me, who is still very much new to this, won't be able to hit 200g of protein per day. but i do what i can, lift hard, and enjoy the journey.

Ultimately, it really boils down to the individual. Everyone is built differently. Bodybuilding is for life, you are the only one who can figure out what works or not.

No problem brutha. nothing wrong high protien diet.

The article tell us what happen during cutting phase. We'll lost some muscle mass and this article show why.
And when we know why, we can minimize the effect.

Remember the article not oppose high protien diet.

look at this advice

QUOTE
So think twice when you consider sacrificing the carbohydrates for a protein-dominant diet, Butterfield says. Drastically cutting carbohydrates from your diet may force your body to fight back.
We need to look at carb and get plenty of water to minimize the loss muscle mass when in high protien diet during cutting

Not exactly. Same will apply to naturally gained muscle if one stops working out too. You can keep the juicing gains with proper PCT but that is another story.

U got the words right outta my mouth bro. I'm glad i share the same opinion as you. for u being the big guy in here. thumbup.gif

A proper pct is more complex than juicing. just some food for thought.

i got told off today at my gym(FF) for "slamming" the weights..when all i did was touch the weights to the floor after every rep as i was deadlifting..hence producing a clinking noise due to the floor mat being not very sound absorbent..

i mean when im lifting 100kgs+ the least of my worries is putting the weights down nice a gently for u now is it? stupid commercial gyms.. yawn.gif

Lol True Fitness Section 14 has my respect in this case then. We're throwing around old school style T-bar rows for 6-8 plates on average and we slam them down, as in really slam them down after the last rep and no one complains cos staff there appreciates hard training. It's getting a reputation to be a pretty hardcore place although there're still a lot of idiots hanging around there doing crappy stuff.

Maybe someone did complain, the person came over and saw the guys throwing the weights...and went back to the counter. I've seen it happen before at my previous gym.

Heh... won't happen here. Even the PT's like to see us train and a lot of them are pushing some crazy weights around.

What I heard from a lot of local bodybuilders is that they skip pct and replace it with lots of coconut water. They claims it helps and they have no side effects from juicing. hmm.gif

One of the PTs at FF IOI actually encourages me to drop the weight during heavy deadlifts without bothering about the sound even though FF IOI isn't really properly rubber matted like FF Menara Maxis.

For those looking for cheap protein. =)

GNC is having 30% off for its whey proteins this month.
E.g. ON 100% Whey 5lbs is about RM174. 10lbs is around RM331

They are? Holy crap. I was just there earlier (GNC One Utama) and the guy didn't mention anything. Luckily I didn't purchase anything though since the credit card system was offline.

Is the discount for selected outlets only?

Which FF told you off? I've been to most branches and have done deads but nobody has told me off. Yet.

If it was the trainers then I think they're pussies. I mean, I've seen some yobs throwing the weights down to the floor as though it were wet towels. That gets me real angry but I refrain because I know violence might be involved.

And, dude, deadlifts FTW smile.gif Keep on doing them and show 'em punks what a real man's exercise is.

Yea bro.. i've heard it before too.. that's just uttering crap. i mean, i've posted this on few international forums askin their opinion. and some of the forums even have endocrinologist BBs. they all say it's bs.

i mean, come on now. althoug coconut water has been used as IV drip in thrid world country during war, what does it gotta do with suppression recovery from AAS secretion?

how many body builders in malaysia actually knows what's HPTA(hypothalamic-pituitary-testicular axis) and effects of it. That's just one side. ppl always talkin about those not so serious sides wheres HPTA suppression is the most serious side due to AAS secretion.

leave alone all the common sides that most of ya'll know, here are some more serious sides

BPH-Benign prostatic hyperplasia
Male pattern baldness
Gyno
and more estrogen related sides.

Note: i'm not directly talking about AAS here. it's more of a discussion of awareness for the problems due to AAS secretion.

perhaps our own doctor BB(darklight79) can give some views. will be appreciated.

menara manulife..haha..and it was a female trainer.. yawn.gif

btw the time was like about 3.30pm? i mean the gym was practically empty as opposed to the 7pm crowd so i dont see who i was bothering..if i had the choice i would rather go to more hardcore gyms like terry gallyot's or the one in aman suria which i forgot the name
