Haha... still maintain on snail speed of the month, most of people, but not me.



I'm not using VPN or Proxy or Private Server to perform this test.

This is fail, i can't even complete the test!
What's wrong with streamyx now

Edit: Okay i can't load speedtest.net so i did the speedtest from streamyx
And after 5 minutes the test was complete and i got like 40Kb/s in download and 400Kb/s in upload.
=.= Does streamyx cap download speed? I thought mine was unlimited package.

My 4mb access died. Gave up on it and gonna switch to unifi ._.;

Im start lagging from 9 am morning until NOW!!! WTF TM NUT!!!

Appearently, Malaysian has been pretty updated and modern nowadays, they say screw TV1 and Astro and demand latest news by checking on cyberweb, many of them could be WiFi'ing in mamak stall with their iPhone or android.

Unfortunately, TELEKOM Malaysia is totally unable to coupe up with the demand, what add salt to the wound, all their techies went and join the football club at mamak stall so expect this 1Malaysia 1Lag to last until Monday.

Of course, as usual, their agents know nothing and even if they do, according to the script, they will not tell us anything useful.

EVERY NIGHT SLOW LIKE SHIT!!!!!!!!!!!!

The situation at my side is pretty grim. Since midnight, the connection has gone from relatively normal (60 kbps) to hellish, when it decided to flip me off and refuse to load any website properly, let alone do so in short time.

I'm forced to restart my modem when nothing else can be done, but that too has only remedied the problem temporarily. For a very brief time (i.e. less than 5 minutes) before the connection slows to a complete stop. As I type this, I have restarted the modem 5 times since midnight.

The problem is also all reaching. Both local and international sites are affected. I suspect it's my modem, but I need to confirm it's localised.

me too 4mb user every night slow like turtle 200kbps what the hell damn sien 1 week already

same start at 8 pm normally, but it has been happening for the past 2 weeks already , call 100 few times and first report was that the power supply at my area is not enough to cater 4 mb (wtf) ,then after a few days they say it is because they are migrating their line and asked me wait for another week..my speed now

same here. before this full speed almost any site 70-100KBps. now cant even stream youtube 360p lol

Fine as usual.
Only complaint was the main telekom grid broke down 2 weeks ago.
Whole Sarawak 'offline' for those using Streamyx for a duration of 1 1/2 day.

I think they have re-shuffled the IPs. Maybe the preparation for Unifi in many more areas soon is causing these slow downs. I think there was a similar problem when the first few areas were being prepared for Unifi too.

I wonder if Streamyx users in areas where Unifi are already available are facing slow downs? Or have they seen Streamyx connections stable after the Unifi came out in those areas?

I think some extra information would be useful for this thread. Can you guys provide the first two octets of your IP address and your location? I am getting only 60.48, 60.49 and 60.50 IP addresses in my area. All slow. My location is Balakong, Cheras.

Here are the latest latency figures to TMnet's internet gateway, which I believe should actually be the fastest since it's the first server the internet traffic goes through before going out to the rest of the world.

I'm from Klang , my IP range can get is : 60.52 / 118.100 / 118.101 / 124.13 / 115.133 / 115.132

TM CS finally admitted they have some network issues - they said its routing issue but i doubt so as it's only happen somewhere afternoon till night. Now, I still have triple digits up to 300+kbps but when night time only up to 50k (that's im very lucky)... ave about 30+kbps...

My streamyx down

Anyone in cheras area around midah kopitiam there suffering from high ping to isp.tm.net.my?

I can't even connect to my favourite cs server

My line has stabilised for now since around 8pm yesterday. It no longer drops every few seconds or minutes and the dsl is syncing properly for the moment. Previous to that torrents were acting a little wonky but they never dropped below 60kB/s and hovered up to 140kB/s. Now it seems to be back on track and hitting around 160kB/s (I guess cos I'm also browsing/streaming/ddl). 2048/512 line and location is Luyang, KK, Sabah.

lately i wonder is tmnet playing around with their routing, peak time, alot of websites cannot surf, 3am onwards to morning 10am can surf such these websites.

Around 1.30AM - 1.50AM streamyx is down.

For which area? Mine was unaffected

now streaming youtube 480p perfectly... lets see if it can stay this way...

The technician came my home just now.He said 4mbps in my area will cause this issue to happen cause he said my area line cable very old already.He said the cable for new housing area this problem wont happen such as Damansara he told me.But i don think so cause they are a lot of people encountered this problem even from new area.He say if downgrade to 2mbps the problem will be solve,cause 4mbps is too much for an old area he said.

Due to this, customers using Internet services may now experience slow browsing while accessing content hosted in the U.S. and Hong Kong. In addition, customers using other IP services such as Virtual Private Network (VPN) and other critical business applications linked to the U.S. and Hong Kong may also experience some service degradation.

To alleviate the problem, some of the links have been rerouted to alternate routes to ease the congestion.

During the restoration process, traffic to Northern America and Hong Kong may experience minor degradation while traffic to other countries is not affected. TM will make further announcements on the progress of the restoration works.
