My line has stabilised for now since around 8pm yesterday. It no longer drops every few seconds or minutes and the dsl is syncing properly for the moment. Previous to that torrents were acting a little wonky but they never dropped below 60kB/s and hovered up to 140kB/s. Now it seems to be back on track and hitting around 160kB/s (I guess cos I'm also browsing/streaming/ddl). 2048/512 line and location is Luyang, KK, Sabah.

all i can say is heh in so many ways to that last post. In other news - the only thing affecting my side is a bit of lag in loading pages, and some slowness in direct downloads. Ftp hasn't really broken beyond 100kB/s but torrents are full speed as usual.

I've done this before too, but what to do about the one on the actual pole? I'd love to see what botched connection they've done or redo it if it has got all crusty on the outside. I been getting these low SNR and high attenuation out of the blue just these past few weeks but suspiciously during the "maintenance" periods so I really can't really take out the possibility of each unless I check them individually.

Of course, but the problem is physically checking at the telephone pole. Everything else on my end is dandy. With all the dropouts on connection I'm leaning more towards the maintenance thing but I want to wait for daybreak when I can double check on the telephone pole.

Luyang, KK, Sabah here. I am not having any problems with international sites at the moment (so far). Not sure about rs, mu, etc - did not try them out in the last few days but my torrents are fine. The only thing I am experiencing is unstable line with frequent disconnections which may or may not be related to the "maintenance"/"upgrading" going on.

I only had a bit of problems accessing an international site yesterday. Youtube takes a while to buffer but everything else still seems fine.

About 99.99% complete halt to anywhere on my end. Luyang, KK, Sabah. Barely able to reach here, hope this post gets through. Started having trouble around 6pm.

Nobody else having problems? My speed is fluctuating like nuts and lots of disconnections pre/post new years. I suppose that's normal given the festive season but I can't be the only one that's experiencing this. Luyang, KK, Sabah here.

MR_alien, day before and yesterday I was stuck on 118.100 and 110.159, now I'm stuck on 110.159 only doh.gif I am struggling to upload a 33meg file right now, it's trickling out slowly.

Curious, what is your location? My telephone line also has no signal since 1:15pm yesterday, can't sync dsl either, signal totally 0. I'm at Luyang, Kota Kinabalu, Sabah. I've already submitted a report and am waiting for their response. When did your line die?

10/03/2011 10:00:09 AM - Came to my house at 9:30'ish, fixed issue at lil grey box on telephone pole. Issue resolved. Now just waiting for courtesy call.

This, like the last time I made a report was quickly resolved. They were nice, polite and didn't mind me asking questions about totally unrelated stuff (although I still hate being treated like a noob when they say 'turn your modem on/off' haha but this is to be expected and standard practice). From my perspective anyway it does seem like they are getting better at this customer service thing, or maybe I just wasn't feeling angry & frustrated tongue.gif (had it been another 1-2 days of nothing happening, maybe I would start).
As for international routing, still having difficulty reaching certain places, speed is semi-ok though for connections that can be established. Fluctuating up&down, but I guess that's due to the maintenance going on as per usual. Hopefully whatever it is it will be resolved soon. This was also happening before my line died for a week or two already. Other than that no additional problems. So that's one issue fixed and another one left.
For those of you in Sabah, what kind of pings do you get to the KL server? I seen some guys get pretty low pings before but the latency on my end is nothing near what these guys are getting.
