You don't need to bench that much to get big. Do it Milos Sarcev's style. Elbows flared out 90 degrees and focus on contraction. According to Terry, Tom Price's chest used to be his weakest bodypart but once he went to Milos for help, his chest became one of his best bodyparts and he was using very low poundages. Bodybuilding is and always will be about feel and instinct. Listen to your body. You can get huge benching just 60 kgs. Terry benches less than me for your info, he dumbell shoulder presses less than me but in no way is he weak. He can do much heavier but he knows his body inside out. That's what separates a professional bodybuilder from an amateur, trust me.
Obviously I would love benching 3 big plates per side but if you use all leg drive, arched back, you take focus away from your chest. Besides EMG studies have already proven that the flat barbell bench press hits your pectoral muscles the least compared to the decline bench. Unless one knows how to execute the form perfectly, it becomes mostly an ego exercise.
Well this big guy here knows how little i lift for incline BP lol...but the most important is the muscle stimulation...no point going heavy and get less ROM and can't really stimulate the muscle fully.Obviously I would love benching 3 big plates per side but if you use all leg drive, arched back, you take focus away from your chest.
