F'in bullshit crap. THIS is more than a 300kg leg press:-

zeist should know that an e-stat is not a stat unless a valid video is posted especially given the fact that his claims are outrageous.

Added on August 21, 2009, 7:20 pmSo I'm in the bulking phase atm. Trying to break the 17.1 barrier. I think I broke it, not sure. Small random shot.

why eh?
17.1??? wahh, how long does it take?  blink.gif

Not all the time but coincidentally when I feel like taking a pic there's a cap on.
I went on an FST program for a few months, then switched to light weight high rep training. Still on it atm. For example, incline bench would be 95kg x 15 reps for 4 sets. The new growth surge and pump I get is amazing. I think that contributed to my extra growth. I needed to give joints and ligaments a rest since my right shoulder is giving way.

I just realized:  Doesn't H&F have quite a habit of running posters "out of town," if we can put it that way?  I mean, just off the top off my head:  Budak84, King83, Zeist...

(I'm not sure if I'm forgetting anyone)
*
Lol, I'm ok with King83 already. We met a few times at gatherings and we've talked cordially. Give him a break, he's been through a lot of shit from his breakup with his ex. How you doin? I lost your number btw.

Hah, I wasn't condoning dogpiling specific posters until they stopped coming to the H&F forum, I just noticed that it seems to happen a lot.  I've been all right--could be better, could be worse.

No worries about the number--given that the last time I talked to you was, what, over a year ago?--it's no surprise I've lost your number as well.

Yeah. Lol, the training meetup which never happened. =P

My normal incline is 275 pounds for 8 reps, but now it's 15 reps per set obviously i would need to reduce. =)

You're so wrong. Bob Chick (IFBB Pro) himself said that genetics play 97% role in elite bodybuilding competitions. You can't make a pitbull out of a chihuahua no matter how much you buff up that chihuahua correct? Everything else is secondary. Elite bodybuilders are born, not made. Terry even said so, Kmaru will agree with me I'm pretty sure.

I know a guy here, natural, eats just twice a day and has donuts for breakfast and he benches 100kgs for warm ups for 20 reps and benches 4 big plates a side for work sets of 6-8. That is almost what i deadlift. Genetics mate.

I'm just so jealous when I see him bench. Lol. I train with him sometimes and no way i can keep up with that guy. His bench press workout consists of 20 sets. This was exactly what the psycho did:-

225lbs x 15
225lbs x 15
225lbs x 20
315lbs x 10
405lbs x 6
405lbs x 6
405lbs x 6
315lbs x 18

And the rest of the sets are cool downs of 225lbs. I mean.... wtf?! JonYeap has seen this guy in person.

Not really. We who are of average genetics and natural can still achieve an impressive level of physical development. I don't have to wear sleeveless anymore for people to know I bodybuild. Don't get disheartened by all that. It's no excuse to stop training. =) BB for life!

His 2 meals are huge. Really huge. Basically he fulfills his caloric requirements with those 2 meals. The donuts are taken in the morning for energy. Lol.

Plain Smith machine or dumbell shrugs, 15-20 reps for 3-4 sets. Heavy as possible, but with good form, don't turn it into a mini clean.

i never never allow the muscle to get used with either free weights or machines
every 2-3 weeks i will sure alternate although certain things like legs i still do much of the same thing except i either up the poundages or sets cuz legs  are my greatest assets

hey darkie just wanna know, whats ur normal routine for back?
im bored with my current routine la which includes the following although not all at the same time i.e.

wide grip lat pulldowns / close grip pulldowns
barbell rows - will never miss this although im still using puny weights (15-25 kg's per side depends on mood) but kept at 15-20 reps (registryeditor thought me the right way)
t-bar / seated rows (pulley / handles)
lying back raises - for the back delts
chin ups
and sometimes if im bored squats -  sweat.gif  sweat.gif

One of the odd exercises i saw was doing dumbbell bench press using a Swiss ball and the guy was using 100Lbs per side (Max weight for dumbbell),i tried it the following and found that its quite hard as i was only able to use 30Lbs and maintain correct form,if i went for higher poundage its really hard to control the movemnt.
*
That's a pretty stupid thing to do. Seriously. There's been several posts like that on bb.com forums are they got flamed to high heaven.

Me benching 45lbs DB.

I have no idea why the video is so laggy...it was fine on the phone. Must have been youtube's fault for compressing it.

Darklight is going to bash me for not going down all the way, but I swear it's the lowest I could go and it was my 4th set for DB bench press and before that I did 5 4 sets of flat BB bench press and 5 sets of SM incline bench press.

*
Why? It looks fine to me. As long as you get the stretch. Seriously those weights don't do you justice. I know you can push much harder than that. Great form.

My oh my... so much mini hatin here. Can't we all just get along?

QUOTE(pizzaboy @ Sep 16 2009, 09:53 PM)
I disagree. It's not necessary that someone has to look huge just because they know a lot. In fact, I strongly believe that if someone can achieve their goals, and share their knowledge, they deserve kudos. And his is clearly, not to look big or muscular or anything.
*
Maybe, maybe not. But imagine if I'm a newbie in a forum, I want gain muscle, lots of it. Or, I want to gain strength, lots of it too. I have a choice to listen to 2 individuals with genuine avatars. Do I pick the one who looks like a twig or do I pick the one with decent above average physique? It's not rocket science to figure that out.

In BB.com, pictures say a thousand words. In T-nation, it's the same thing. Tates, Thibadeau(sp?) aren't small people the last time i recalled.

shanecross, not using you as an example in any of this in case you might misunderstand. I'm taking a neutral stance here in your case since the development of one's physique is subject to debate. This has nothing to do with you nor anyone's physique on this forum at all. I'm just sayin.

There's nothing to apologize for actually. All of you have every right to your own opinion when judging people's physiques. If one wanted exclusively positive feedback, might as well not post their pics in the progress thread at all.

I honor everyone's honesty, it just got me off tangent when someone said I was on roids ( regardless of the fact that it was a joke ). I just don't like to be called a cheat.

I've even said once if anyone could track my post, " Everyone wants a pat on the back and no criticisms when they post their progress pic/vids ". I just don't happen to fall in that category.

I hope I clear the air, lets move on with our specific goals, after all, regardless of being a powerlifter, bodybuilder or a regular trainee,we are all chasing the demon in ourselves to break our own boundaries of capability.

Well yes, but there are people in forums who do spew off everything but look average in real life. You wouldn't even know they worked out unless they told you they did.

But 2 members which I'm pretty happy meeting were Florian and JonYeap. We 3 had a mamak session a few weeks back. They're both quiet and humble yet possess very impressive physiques considering the span of both their training periods respectively.

No matter what is said and done, a person's physique will always do more talking than words ever will especially in a bodybuilding/strength forum. This rule is paramount at sites like bb.com and T-nation forums. Don't take it the wrong way shane, not dissin ya. It's not directed at anyone in particular. I'm just sayin that impressions are different in a forum specializing in this particular field of expertise.
