I thought it was just only international, however when I tried LYN, I keep getting unfinished pages or....

Same here. Stupidly slow connection, eventhough I've subscribed to 1mbps. Called Customer Service a while ago and they mutter something about restarting modem and resetting my port. Whatever. No difference.

Every single time I experience slowness, there must be other members here reporting already. TmNut changed my Shitmyx to Deep Shitmyx since evening. Cannot login MSN, extreme slow international websites and even LYN is doing slow. Sigh.

i heard from a friend he said one ip range in subang is down aka slow like turtle under weed...so maybe it was reroute to other and thus we are all congested...stupid same infrastructure BUT always offering more and more cheaper low quality services...basically more and more ppl subscribe but with the same infrastructure...epic fail...zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

Speeds are extremely slow. Local and foreign. I am still cycling thru various IP ranges to find better speeds. Pings to www.google.com is still very high around 350-400ms. Normally it is between 60-80ms.

I'm on Celcom Broadband now... the one with the tiny modem like Maxis. Smooth. And surprisingly, I used to get only GPRS connection, but now I got HDSPA!
It seems like not every single area got affected. My fiance's brother in Penang has smooth connection, while me and my fiance here has truly crappy Screamyx connection. He called up TM- tried to press 3 for Internet service but got disconnected immediately  Then he tried calling the phone service and the person told him that the whole Malaysia is facing problems, even they themselves... |

Finally speed is back to normal now, unable to load 99% of the web sites & unable to log into msn since 7pm 19/7/08

no prob in download but very high ping, i guess tmnet reroute the line, same like we use proxy, maybe they change to their backup line or alternative line. There should be an underwater earthquake or wat, becos i saw the news that taiwan and china is having some type of strong breeze from the sea, flood everywhere.

Last night was hell.. Couldn't log in MSN . Google webpage took 1 minute to load. And ther's on picture. Ping every website request time out (EXCEPT STREAMYX.COM.MY) but cannot login streamyx.com.my O_o ? |

But I experienced Extreme Quad Core SLOW DOWN browsing yesterday Time was between 8PM until about 12AM... I am not sure internationally affected or is it just Tmnut here.. I hate streamyx! Bottom line! |

60.48.xxx.xxx is slow with RapidShare. It has been alternating between 60.xxx.xxx.xxx addresses throughout the day, yet at half speeds. Reporting from Penang Island. This is really out of norm. I've been having steady speeds for quite some time already.

My place in Penang is also the same. The farking Streamyx is super slow. I called the helpdesk and asked what's happening, the idiot kept saying there's no problem with Streamyx !!!! They are trying to deny the truth.
I can't access to my gmail account using the standard view nor updating my windows at windowsupdate.microsoft.com. Do you guys have the same problem with these 2 websites too? FARKING STREAMYX. i dont think they would care la... some of them said they make more money by renting the internet cable link to other countries and oversea companies. much more profit from whole malaysia streamyx customers. WTH!! feels like an abadoned child from our own mother (country)

Yeah same here , problem accessing gmail, and super laggy connection since yesterday 9pm on wards.

A strange thing happened to me today. No not the 75% data loss when I ping Google ( I guess I sort of expect that sort of thing after three years with Streamyx) but I got onto a Call Center supervisor who was not only helpful but knowledgeable!!
I have been having a problem with any connections to the US for the last 48 hours and after the usual Streamyx dance ( is your modem light blinking, remove your splitter, install a splitter, etc etc) I got onto a switched on long lady who asked me to ping the the nameservers I was using and sure enough one of them showed 100% loss. Switched my primary dns to 208.188.0.133 and - *magic* no more lossed and pages started loading again. |

Ya, MSN always lag out. and Yahoo Mail seem to be ok now, i think email website not affect right now, but still experience foreign address problem.. even www.microsoft.com cannot browse in.

For me, was really lagged Saturday until around close to midnight. Then suddenly all the lag disappeared, but every 10 minutes the line loses link for half a minute. The line is still there, but no data goes through, so it makes online gaming completely impossible. =(
This is from Taman Desa, Old Klang Road. Hopefully tomorrow when all the companies start calling in to complain they'll take action. |

As experienced by others, 60.* IP addresses were really really slow .. so, everytime mine got disconnected, I'll do reconnections until I got one not 60.* .. I've raised this issue with tmnet, they've tried to call me last week but the line was damn noisy on the handphone, asked the guy to call me on landline .. but no call after that.. will call them up and ask for an update tomorrow.

Hi all, thanks for the advice on the 60.xx.xx.xx IP problems. I restarted my modem a few times, and finally got an IP which started with 218.xx.xx.xx. However, after a few minutes, it disconnects and reverts to an IP starting with 60.xx.xx.xx even though I did not touch my modem - how on earth did they do that? Did Screamyx delibrately reallocate a 60.xx.xx.xx IP to me? Why did this happen, and how can I solve this problem (i.e. not use the 60.xx.xx.xx address until Screamyx sort their act out)?

Ya I lose signal every 10 minutes or so. It's due to a disconnection and reconnection of the modem - it doesn't look like a DC because my wireless continues broadcasting the signal even though the signal if broadcasts is no longer connected to the internet. After every dead signal, my IP changes, a sure sign that it was a disconnection.
Phew, I'm not the only one who has this problem - at least we know it's not our hardware problem, and just have to wait for Screamyx to act. |

i just called their Streamyx CS. it was an announcement there, about some upgrading interruption in Sabah emm few more location but then i talk with a guy, he seem like technician not helpdesk. told me that, since 10th July they are upgrading and line services or something It will last until 31st July (until next month) Kedah, Perak were affected. Just a update guys |

It's kinda stupid that they're doing such things behind our backs without explaining anything to us.
I've complained to them last thursday and it was fixed the following day... then came the dreaded saturday where the whole malaysia got cut off from the internet... sunday, 7pm, disconnection begins yet again. I called them back on monday to open up my report, some guy who can hardly speak english picks up and does nothing. IF they could fix my problem before, why cant they do it again?! During that call, i was put on hold for about 2~3 minutes (probably talking to his supervisor on how to cover up what they're doing) Today(Tuesday) it happened again. I was really pissed off to the point where the first thing in the morning, I intend to call up tmnut's CS and demand to speak to the person in charge the moment someone picks up my call. Lucky for them, you came in and cleared all speculations. PS : They could've AT LEAST posted this month long disruption on their website. BUT no..... wanna save face |

technical guys just came to my house. apparently if glen_cct's information is correct, they dont know about the "upgrade" or are just hiding the fact.
They said something about changing my port at their server or something to a better one to fix the 7pm disconnecting problem. Let's see if that actually helps |

i dont know if those guys u are suppose to ask. Instead, i got a friend from tm in the networking stuff telling routers on malaysia borders are getting very high utilization around 90-95%. links are so congested. still trying to divide the traffic to other routes.

The speed is awful lately... They have mistakenly upgraded mine to 1 MB instead of 512 kb unlimited... If upgrade and the speed is faster nevermind... now it is slower than when I was on 512kb! Adui... God please help us!

I still have the disconnect problem - every 10-15 minutes disconnect for 20 secs or so.. enough to make me restart EVE Online.
The worst thing is you call tmnet and they sound surprised at your problem, like it's an isolated thing and not a big problem which is affecting the bulk of their customer base. "remove the splitter" "plug and unplug your cables" "I'll reset your connection - turn off your modem and turn on again" "try connecting directly to the modem instead of through the wireless".. very polite, but so damned useless. in my case, its not disconnections just timeouts. The IP never changes after each moment when there's a loss of signal.

guy now i only able to get below ip as my line down few days ago and fixed by tmnut technician they say change new line for me and since i got 1mb upgrade to 2mb but with below very bad ip
118.101.xx.xx 118.100.xx.xx 124.13.xxx like last time ip i got is below which has quite good ping 218.xxx 228.xxx 219.xxx 60.48.xx anyway to change back my old ip?? thanks |

-My internet slowed down (by half) the last few days (512kpbs instead of 1mbps) -Tmnut speedometer non-functional (offline it seems) Coincidence? I dont think so... a day before, it was working fine (yea i checked because i felt my bandwidth was choking) |

Haven't experience any disconnection whole night. Download speed still abit slow, BT average 10kB compared to 100kB before the problem started. Can't go onto Youtube too.
But at least can see improvements on Road To Recovery... |

turn there is other.btw my speed went from the usual 190kbps to only 35kbps max.can u guys tell me ur speed download from rapidshare before and after this prob???and im from kluang,johor. |

Yay!!! Even the stupid speedometer tests take 5 minutes+ to finish.... =_="
Suprisingly, BT is still ok but normal HTTP download, sucks... 1 ~ 3kB/s everytime I try to download something. Doesn't matter which server... it's that speed... WOW!!! HTTP throttling (I know that's not possible...is it??)??? O_O In USJ 23.. |

i dont see streamyx improving at all since i became member ...day by day their connection is very slow especially when surfing at nite.Hope they will overcome this issue.
