Seems many foriegn websites (not local) are slow... click on page, then zzzzzz...... Need many retires, page never load complete, just blank, or takes up to 1 minute to arrive!! This is definitely not DNS problem.. every HTTP or FTP file download tried around 1KB/s or less.... Time again to make their complaint phone line busy.
Edit: Youtube videos are still no go... This post has been edited by lex: Aug 2 2008, 02:48 AM |

As of the time of this posting....
- Hotmail comes up blank despite retries - Youtube just too slow until zzzzzz...... like a ultra slow slideshow - Quite a number of sites are very and utterly slow, only a few are OK (seems very odd indeed) - Combined download speed (HTTP + FTP + torrent) is less than 20KB/s to 35KB/s, despite using a 1Mbps line (theoretically 100KB/s) Bad Screamyx |

QUOTE(HiT-AbLe @ Aug 2 2008, 07:11 AM) For example I can stream youtube video at about 100+KB/s in the morning, but after 3pm only manage to get 10+KB/s, I even try to switch to other IP ranges but result still the same, same thing happens to download speed as well. Your Youtube can work..... Mine totally "dead"!!! Even right now... QUOTE(daimon @ Aug 2 2008, 10:41 AM) DOES ANYONE EXPERERIENCE THE DSL LIGHT BLINK ITSELF SOMETIMES??? Yes, once in a random while.... though rarely. |

From my observation, each connection is throttled down to 5KB/s (doesn't matter whether HTTP, FTP, etc). A download manager is a must because downloads simply decrease in speed and stops, timeouts very often. Many sites still slow or inaccessible.. The DNS lookup is utterly slow, click and wait ("Looking up ....." zzzz)

QUOTE(Breaktru @ Aug 3 2008, 12:32 AM) Still no go at Youtube here Same here. zzzzz..... Hotmail is weird... sometimes can log in, often cannot... blank screens (login and logouts too). Some sites still slooooowwww.... like pages were "done" but lots of stuff like images are loaded halfway or missing... Seems my TOTAL downstream bandwidth cannot exceed 30KB/s, even at this time!!! Why am I paying for 33% bandwidth? My suspicion is the indiscriminate throttling, seems Screamyx traffic shapers only monitors the first headers of the HTTP request... If go thru proxy server, its ignored because the first header is the proxy request... not the actual HTTP request (which comes after the proxy request has been authenticated)... That could be the reason why proxy servers much faster... This post has been edited by lex: Aug 3 2008, 04:21 AM |

All my downstreams is limited to 30KB/s as I've mentioned earlier... even with local server
![]() ![]() TMNutz Speedometer busy... I guess this is evidence enough, showing Screamyx limiting connections, clearly not even considered "best effort"!! Breach of customer contract/agreement?! This post has been edited by lex: Aug 3 2008, 11:31 AM |

QUOTE(TristanX @ Aug 3 2008, 11:33 AM) http://www.cfm.org.my is not accessible too. I bet TMNet did it on purpose. I tried... also cannot access it, considering its a local website! Does TMNet did it on purpose... just look at my download stream speed for the past 24 hours. |

Currently under investigation....
At certain times of the day, I'm only getting 480kbps to 500kbps.. this is not only VERIFIED by Speedtest.net but also by my modems internal modulation status, in fact I used 2 different modems for this. Also my connection returns to normal which 1Mbps for only SHORT periods of time.... then it starts going downhill again... Certainly something is amiss.... Will check this out time to time for the next few days... Note: Does anyone notice that TMNutz's Speedometer is always kinda "busy"? Can't even use it at all... QUOTE(TongCN @ Sep 29 2008, 07:25 AM) I hate this speed as I before this 2 weeks, I have around 100~150kb/s for each torrents, especially new and good torrents. I suggest you check your modem's modulation speed. But now look at this, all new anime or movie comes to me will become old anime or movieĀ Takes me forever to download oneĀ Screamyx new tactics?! Since from yesterday night, I could not get any higher than this Then at around 6 AM today, I simply disconnected the line, reconnect back and got this Port problem? Looks fishy.... Same pattern again (see my previous post). This post has been edited by lex: Sep 30 2008, 02:04 PM |

My RS timeout also, for the 15th time since yesterday/today and wasted hours of my time...
My total P2P bandwidth combined can't exceed 20KB/s (hovering around 15KB/s or less). A bit of recovery at 5AM but otherwise downhill all the way until this morning Some sites are still awfully slow... |
