If I read correctly... already change the case but still repeat same issue at the same spot?

I don't use Facebook but instead Swipe for Facebook app - doesn't have such problemsFB app is known being problematic, loads slow, takes up more memory etc |

My orchid grey no such issue so far... been protected with Ringke since day 1... Read some comments in other forums. Apparently, this "peeling issue" is quite hot among the Note 8 users all around the world. And most of them are midnight black units. So far, haven't heard any similar issues reported by Orchid grey, Maple gold and Deepsea blue owners yet. Looks like the black color coating on the side of Midnight black unit was a poor rush job by Samsung. I wonder if they already fixed this in 2nd batch.... If you paint any glossy paint on metal, or anything, it is bound to happen, it is just a character of glossy paint. I would hate for it peel bigger, but I am fine with it. If it ia really thay bad for you, I suggest you document it, take pictures, the more it gets bigger, the more you have a case to say it is a defect. If not, just live with it |

my phone will shows "No Internet Connection" when I plug or unplug charging cable. It'll shows also when switch off wifi and connected to mobile data. There's internet connection, but system said no..Something wrong....

Wow... my brightness set to auto... and now under sunlight, my homescreen icons look washed off....and very white-ish

Just wondering, does anyone have issues with "edge screen notification light" thingy? How does it work? Looking at having it light up when recieving a watsapp or email when my screen is off. Tried: 1. Aod on or not doesnt work 2. Screen b4 login v screen on doest work 3. Apps have priority and all 4. Phone face down doesnt work 4. BUT works when i put it on "when screen on" |

The other day, was charging my Note8 with my wireless charger and saw the reflection of the fluorescent light from above off the screen to have round curves. Looked closer and noticed 2 very small dents on the screen glass. Doesn't looked like crack and definitely did not drop my phone. Anyone else having similar issues?

Just ended my one-month stint with my Note 8. Some thoughts:-
- This was by far the best Samsung device I have ever used, albeit for a very short period. While S8+ was a very, very good phone (I used it prior to changing to the Note 8), the Note 8 is not just a S8+ with a S-pen. The additional 2GB RAM makes everything stutter less and everything was buttery smooth. That with the very good dual lens camera makes the Note 8 a worthy upgrade from the S8+ for the RM300 difference in RRP. The difference in the street price is harder to justify though. - Although the battery size is slightly smaller than the S8+, the SOT and standby time is pretty similar to the S8+. The infamous Android “battery leak” is less apparent with Android 7.1 and it’s a huge difference from the days of the Note 3 (my last Samsung device that lasted for more than a year). I still had issues every now and then like the battery draining more than 10% at night with max power saving mode on and device being idle through the night, but a device restart fixes the issue. - I had this problem with the S8 and the S8+, and it carried over to the Note 8. Sometimes my WhatsApp message notifications would be delayed till I on the app. Even with all the tweaks for battery optimization and app permissions that I managed to Google, the issue persists every now and then. It got me into some awkward situations with some colleagues and clients. (Between the S8 and S8+, I used the HTC U11 and did not face this issue) - The S-Pen is great. Love the text conversion and translation features. If you need to have a device with a stylus, the Note 8 it is (no idea on the Note FE, but I’d imagine it’s equally as good?). - The Note 8 fully deserves its top scores in dxomark. The camera is excellent. The interface could be a little more simplified but as far as a phone camera goes, this one is right up there with the best. - I guess I was fortunate but my unit had no defects, not even the infamous light leak. Build quality is very good. - Did not try the bundled AKG earphones but if it was similar to the S8, then I won’t be missing out. The U11’s is far superior. All in all, the Note 8 is an excellent device but the retail price of RM 3,999 is hard to swallow considering how fast the value drops. That said, those that bought it with the famous (or infamous, depending on how you see it) Qoo10 coupon should be happy - it’s a great buy! |

If your Visa card was previously registered with Samsung Pay on another device, you need to call Maybank to delete the token. Removing the card manually from Samsung Pay in the older device is not enough. |

Read all the post in this thread regarding tempered class and screen protector. Here is a small conclusion:
1) Dont use tempered class on note 8 cause it will spoil the user experience 2) Using cheap tempered class because all tc/SP are the same 3) Whitestone dome user - good review so far but expensive 4) X-one - mix of review - some have screen sensitivity issue, edge lift up 5) HAO - mix of review - dust and sensitivity issue. If you are using tempered class, please copy/reply this post with your answer and comments on how is your experience so far with the SP in term of sensitivity, dust, and etc and what tempered class you use? |

May I know what SP did you guys use? Bought the X-One Defender. But Bubbles appear at the curve screen once I installed the case. I'm still stucked with what SP to buy next. Can someone help me up here? Many thanks. |

Hi guys, would like to share my day 1 experience with the Zizo Bolt case as it just came in today after about 3 weeks of waiting. Very satisfied with the overall purchase (USD 44 inclusive of promo code, shipping, tracking & insurance). It came with extra accessories such as a holster that doubles as a front cover too, lanyard that can be attached to the case, and the best item - a tempered glass that actually works.
My daily armor has been the Spigen Air Liquid which is significantly slimmer and lighter hence this is quite a change. hey!! just bought a note8 yesterday, i got a question regarding the screen color correction.
-my phone screen already install a hoda 9h screen protector. not sure why my phone got a yellowish tint to it. i can tell because i put side by side with my xiaomi note phone. i can tell is abit yellowish compare to my xiaomi. when i on the blue filter. the whole screen get super yellowish orange. @.@ another thing when i go advance and tweak between cold and warm. -slide to warm, the color become colder -slide to cold, the color become warmer @.@ what is happening. does anyone here encounter the same problem? or is this a problem? thank you sifu! |

This hide album features is not new thing for other brands. Just don't understand why Samsung take it put in the first place. It's very useful to hide those whatsapp images, especially if you have a lot of group and people like to share images.

I've been using note edge phone for 3 years. The touted flagship model of the first edge of 3 years ago.
Frankly.... The first year using is pristine After the first year warranty over, problems started to crop up slowly. Trust me I have seen many updates delivered OTA over the years.. But the problems don't seemed to go away or rectified. Freezing... Lagging... Restarting.... Heat. Signal loss. This year alone I think there were about 3 to 4 software updates but none rectified the security finger print unlock screen causing phone to restart. And finger print failed thus we need to punch in the password to unlock phone. At last the Mobo gone king Kong. I even changed a new Mobo at the Samsung service centre. Currently just after 1 week having installed the new Mobo. The problem still the same. Restart by its own. Loss of signal totally without warning and knowing. Only when you feel the phone heats up you will know it's signal loss causing it. I suspect the software was badly written to overcome bugs and other software impurities. I'm really frustrated with it. It's a new Mobo. I don't think it's a faulty Mobo. Most likely the culprit is the software. The updates did not make rescue the phone or rectify faults at all. I wonder the updates do what actually. I'm very disappointed actually. Bought the phone at RM 3000 , 3 years ago. Spent RM 1100 on the new Mobo. But the problem persists. I pre-booked the note FE but on the 25 the last month I turned down to buy. Thus losing my deposit. I love using s pen. And in my note edge even have an IR blaster . the IR blaster is very useful. Sad that all current Samsung models are without it. One other reason I turned down the FE . And the note 8 is because of this. I m using Honor 8 pro. First samsung phone we had at home is the galaxy S plus i bought this for my wife and she loved it. The amoled display is just gorgeous. she used it for about a couple of years and during that time she also bought me the Galaxy S3. I too loved it, because of the display and of course, being something recently released at that time, it was 'the' best android phone. So I used my S3 and my wife used her S plus and I could hear here complaning about the phone being slow and unresponsive - due to it aging and her having a lot of things inside it too. then came in the company Oneplus - the flagship killer. I reviewed the specs of the oneplus one and I thought that it is somehow future proof(for a couple of years at least) and considering the price, it was a bargain. During these times when I was considering oneplus one, I have been playing around with our samsung phones. I have tried different attempts to enhance it's performance by installing different ROMs slim ROMs, etc. well it worked however there is always a downside such as the battery does not last that much. or some features will not work. then I just gave up. So that lead us to buy oneplus one. I thought of getting 2 so if anything goes wrong with my wife's phone or if there is anything she is unsure about her phone then I could quickly respond instead of googling solutions. I have to say, Oneplus One has been a great phone. we had them for 3 years and until now they are still responsive. I liked it a lot. never really thought of switching phones however I thought that I could upgrade now and give the oneplus ones away to our relatives and make someone happy. Now you may be asking, why I didn't go for Oneplus if the phone is great, right? My guts were telling me to go for it. I could have just bought my wife a note 8 and I go for Oneplus however I thought this would be a good opportunity to try something else. I have always been amazed with the curved screens on samsungs and at the same time, when I was using oneplus one, I have the pen which I use from time to time. Besides the software now has lesser bloatware and closed to the stock android experience. So when I saw the opportunity at Qoo10 and help from fellow forumers, I went for it. Just sharing. |

I wonder the updates do what actually. I'm very disappointed actually. Bought the phone at RM 3000 , 3 years ago. Spent RM 1100 on the new Mobo. But the problem persists. I pre-booked the note FE but on the 25 the last month I turned down to buy. Thus losing my deposit. I love using s pen. And in my note edge even have an IR blaster . the IR blaster is very useful. Sad that all current Samsung models are without it. One other reason I turned down the FE . And the note 8 is because of this. I hope to see one day Samsung brings back the IR I have reset my phones may be a dozen times and depending on luck, sometimes the problem is less and sometime more. Is there anyway to interact with the phone using the gesture like iphone X? We don't have to use the nav bar. Saw the same function at HTC U 11 PLUS. It's cool.

Hi all, I just bought my note8 from Qoo. I plan to get moonstone TG and seems like reviews from youtube stating that it must be perfect install in order to match with Spigen case.
Can you guys recommend me some good case that compatible with moonstone TG which you are using right now? |

I only have one grouse. Why took away IR ?
It's just a tiny dot on the top side. If our remotes suddenly not bat power. The phone with IR can still get things done until battery replacement. |

Well one thing.... No matter how much costly or prestige of the other phone ( kimchi or PRC brand or that fruit phone) can boast , nothing can beat a phone with extra feature like IR. I like handy stuff to control things.... And I get to impress the chicks too.... LOL |

What about the sim card slot. how does the sim card slot prevent water from going in? Cause I find that they only have a rubber gasket there to protect. if for someone who always take out the sd card to copy stuff in, the rubber gasket is easily spoil or not in place. what do you guys think? |

I love my Note 8. The transition between the apps is seamless. (Of course I came from the antique model Note 3) However, I do find that the keyboard for Note 8 need improve. I always get typo errors.

just now took up the phone from the table, and immediately it dropped at few cm high above the table

i wanna ask, why wechat keep ask me to install new update? they ask me in the apps, when i press update now then it will say my phone block unknown apps source..

That is strange. I never experienced that with Wechat before. I get all my updates directly from the Google Play store. I would be vary about that Wechat update direct from the app or any other third party source. |

After used Note 8 for a month and feel that the curve screen advantage for Note 8 may not be benefit. Reason is when you use S PEN with Smart Select feature and you will hard to crop the area that near to the curve.

I totally disable my FB app even since note 5.... the app sucks battery and generally sucks also ... lol ... that's the only app I disable and prefer not to use. ..
